Please fix UI. It's worsening
On iphone SE 1st gen The map zooms out to show the whole of Africa for some reason. I can't zoom in The ride options (insured plus/electric boda etc) fill up all of the screen I can't see the map. I can't even go back. I have to quit the app and reopen App doesn't inform me of canceled or completed rides. I have to confirm with the rider. Or force close the app and reload it.

Toda we've traveled 2 ppl and the app has no option of 2 but the guy has told us we should pay double the price becoz we are 2 yet it's has only said 11500 that guy is Bosco plz fix this real quick

UNSAFE Boda is most accurate
I reported two safety incidents, asking to never be matched with a Boda driver who publicly harassed and abandoned me on two events. Safe Boda said there was nothing they could do, but that I should cancel the trip if I got matched with him again. HORRIBLE matching algorithm if you claim to be “safe” yet dismiss the liability of the fact that serious harm will one day happen because of this negligence. Never using SafeBoda again nor would recommend it.
App Broken
Amazing app but it seems the new update broke my ability to load onto my safeboda wallet. Hopefully that gets fixed.
Fake promos
Am so disappointed with you guys am even switching to faras coz you guys have fake promos, how can I have all those 16rides while spending 5k above and later u just make my discount trip to disappear. 🚮

Forced to deposit money before ride is confirmed
I would have no problem with this app if they didn’t force us to deposit money before the ride was confirmed. There are instances where I have deposited money on the app but there have been no rides. it is this is extremely annoying and frustrating since the money is non-refundable.

Hi Safe Boda, thanks for simplifying life. Unfortunately, Ever since the last update, I’ve failed to get any safe Boda…keeps bringing a pop up that says they’re unavailable. And package delivery is only via wallet.
The other option for cancelling trips
When i tap the other option when cancelling a trip it doesnt allow me to make another order The app still says cancel request

Rough riding
Enjoying using safeboda. But I think you need to reconsider briefing you’re riders. They have become ruthless. Almost got me knocked.

You send too many notifications. I know when to use the app, which is why I downloaded it in the first place.
I don’t have 500/-
The idea that the rider has no 500/- to give back as my change and therefore I should forfeit it is now a hit song! All riders that I use say the same thing of late.

Be careful with this app, I disclosed location to a driver but someone else showed up.

Quality of service has steadily dropped
Safety no longer seems to be a concern especially with the riders and secondly customer support is quite unresponsive and many times not helpful. Not forgetting how much longer it takes these days to get a rider on the app.
Service
More riders needed around Muyenga and kindly teach your men English and how to use the map. Some don’t even call. But pay attention to map reading because they stress a lot locating us.

Annoying
Safe boda really disturbs as of late. The tabs no longer work. The app keeps searching for rides for over 30mins and then you can’t cancel because the cancel tab doesn’t work 😡

I have been trying to verify my phone number ever since i got this app on my phone but it wont give me the verification code. Maybe Iphone users are not allowed to use your application. Please what js going on?

Safe Boda have served me so well,until of recent ur driver start playing smart on me,delivery fee are to be deducted from my wallet,nd am sure they knw. But they will get to my customer nd after delivering they will demand for cash delivery from them nd still yet safe Boda will deduct payment from my wallet,this had happen severally,nd have send report every time this happen,but I guess the company do not have say or authority over their driver,cus I have never get any response neither did you do anything about it.

As pioneers in this space, I think you’re doing very well. Keep up the good job! I gave you 4 out of 5 stars because I know there’s still room for improvement. For instance, i look forward to a time when I can select a rider of my choice from the list of those nearby based on my own criteria, for instance I might have used him previously and he did a good job and had excellent customer service, or he has a good rating on the app, etc. These are small things that add to my overall experience of the app. Overall, good job!
Does not work on iPhone .

Food order delay
Please put an average time it takes to order from certain restaurants so that we can plan better. Otherwise when orders delay,(like I've had to wait more than 1hr 30) it reflects on your brand as “safeboda” . You’re competitor has one up on you for this.
Smooth
I got to Ibadan and didn’t know anywhere. A friend recommended Safeboda and I downloaded and took a first ride. The driver was highly professional, neatly dressed and prompt. The first impression was everything to me, I’ll definitely recommend the app to everyone and anyone in Ibadan.

Convenient and safe way to get around Kampala
I love the app and I love the SafeBoda service. I like that adding credit from mobile money (MTN Money and Airtel Money) is simplified and you don’t have to delve into too many USSD menus and prompts (so annoying) saving you loads of time. Integration with Google Maps maps makes finding destinations/locations a breeze (especially helpful if you don’t know your way around Kampala). The app can get a bit glitchy at times but the team behind it are always updating it addressing concerns people bring to their attention.
Apps keeps record of everything
Stop making it compulsory that you have to track everything I do in other apps and websites, even tracking my contacts, very bad app don’t download till they update privacy policy
Privacy could be better
Hey team, nice app you’ve got there. Granted, there are some bugs but you guys are always on top of them. One suggestion though - it would be great if the boda boda riders and the client’s didn’t see each others’ personal contact information, but instead go through an intermediary number. Similar to what some rideshare apps like Lyft do. That way, you’d not have your boda boda fellas trying to chat up their women customers long after the journey has ended. As it is, your riders can see the customers’ telephone numbers, save them and later on send unsolicited WhatsApp messages. Sort that out and you’ll have a topnotch app.

Inexperienced drivers
Soooooo much I find the guy has no idea where to go. Even common places like IHK, Face Technologies, or common roads like Bukoto or Lower Kololo. You can not rely on them to get you somewhere unless you already know the way. English is weak by many. Some do not have driving permits even!!!!!!! Others who do. Now the way try to cheat and carry longer to make more money. Because you do not screen drivers properly, it is useless. I will pay more for a regular boda just to have the confidence he knows where to go and is actually just as safe - if not more safe.
IOS is ridiculously buggy
Really love safe boda as a product but.. -iOS version is ridiculously buggy. Theres a list of bugs i can mention, but the most irritating one is that I can’t request a ride half of the time because it still says that my boda is “arriving” from my last requested trip. The other half is me waiting a few min until it updates and takes me back to the request ride screen. -UI wise, there are some elements that need to be reevaluated when it comes to colour contrast (view in grayscale mode when you design and see the difference). Otherwise really great product!
When it works, it’s great
For the first week of use this app was great, i put on credit and since then I have had trouble getting any Boda’s to come. More often than not they will wait for me to call before telling me they are not coming because it is too far. Please stop offering discounts if the network can not sustain them. I am now stuck with a lot of credit I can not spend. If the driver cancels I am charged, if I cancel I can not rate my experience. It would be useful to see more choices for why I am cancelling so as to give the company more regular feedback. Similarly I would recommend a “quick feedback” option to be added to the app so I can work with the company to stop they driver network contacting me unsolicited after the transaction is finished. The trip history is a great concept, I intend to use this to claim business journeys. Unfortunately only my first trip of >10 saved so this is not yet possible. GPS for the drivers would make the service much better and would increase use. If you live on a street with no obvious landmarks, do not bother with this app. A few updates will make this service very valuable.
