Events Aren’t Worth It
I’ve played this game on and off for close to a decade. I already knew from early experience that it could be a dangerous money sink, but I decided that just once I wanted to see what it felt like - and what it cost - to complete an entire story event. With 24 hours and change left on the current event, I can honestly say the decision brought me zero pleasure. In fact, I feel physically sick. Even using my Shaved Ices as frugally as possible - almost exclusively during lucky times - I’m $250 USD in the hole just completing all the endings. The “Personal Glamour” bonuses would probably cost me another $30. Learning the true and revolting extent of Cybird’s greed through this experiment has me seriously questioning whether I want to continue supporting them at all. I understand needing to make a profit, but this is beyond the pale.
Great Game, Just One Thing Though
I personally love this game a lot and don’t really have anything to complain about it. I just wish that Midnight Cinderella and Destined to Love were available for me to download in my area/country. I really, REALLY want to play them as well!

I really enjoy Ikemen Sengoku and the Ikemen Series as a whole, but I wish there was a way to earn coins without spending real money. Tapjoy isn’t very helpful—most offers are limited or still cost money. Despite that, it’s a great game and I highly recommend it, along with the other Ikemen games!
Needs an update to work on newer iPhones!!!
I’m so sad because I loved this game and it worked on my old phone, but on my new one, it’ll only load the opening page. When I click any button (play, customer service, data transfer), all I get is a yellow screen and nothing else. Can’t finish the story or get help in the app!! 😭 please fix it!!
Used to be great
I love the stories in this game, but it becomes very hard to play after a while. They no longer offer free premium currency (coins) for watching videos, so the only way to get bonus stories and special attire (needed to unlock special stories in the main routes) is to pay real-world money. With how many coins you have to pay for each bonus story, you can pay upwards of $7 for a story that takes 2 minutes to read! I could almost deal with that (the bonus stories aren’t required to play the base game after all), but the game constantly gives me errors so I have to close and reopen it. It doesn’t work on my high-speed wifi at all and still gives me errors even when I switch to 5G. Now previous attire in my closet isn’t loading properly and I think isn’t counting toward my “beauty” score in lessons. I know both the game and my iPhone are updated, so I don’t get why there are so many problems.

The game is amazing, but I’ve been waiting 4 years for Ranmaru’s storyline, and still haven’t gotten it. They’ve come out with new characters, new events, new everything, but we still haven’t gotten a storyline for Ranmaru. It’s disappointing, honestly. It would be 5 stars if they actually kept up with the original characters instead of making new ones.

Fun at first
I’ve almost completely every route in the game. At the beginning, I loved everything about the characters and all of the mechanics, but overtime it all started getting really boring and not worth the 10-15 minutes the 5 chapter tickets get you through. Takes about a month to finish just one route, and by the end you get really bored by it. There’s always events going on too, which takes out the special aspect to them. Will I finish the game? I suppose, but it’s not as enjoyable anymore. It’s all so repetitive

I do enjoy this, don’t get me wrong…but in order to participate in story events, you have to use their coin currency which of course costs real money to actually accumulate. If during story events, one story is 5,300 coins and to feasibly get that many you have to pay $50…pretty much every story event is $50 just for one part of it!! And they have one story per character that is involved with the event…so, do they really expect us to pay literally hundreds of dollars for their limited events??? I’d like to know who actually has enough income for that. Especially in this economy! I guess I’ll just miss out on all the other content, because I honestly can’t afford it. It’s super frustrating…
Ikesen will always be my first love but…
This was my very first otome game, and it will always have a special place in my heart, but it’s reached a point where I find all the new content borderline unreadable. I loved all the act 1 stories and I still love all the characters, but time travel is a huge component of the story and I feel that they’ve failed to develop that aspect of the worldbuilding in a way that is enjoyable and satisfying to read and that does not detract from the story. The act 2 and 3 time travel stuff is equal parts annoying and inconsistent and actively impedes my enjoyment of the stories. Additionally, they’ve started rapidfire releasing sequels and ‘eternal love’ routes while they still haven’t released Ranmaru’s main route even though his character has been out for a few years now. It’s weird to me that act 2 characters are starting to get EL routes and other characters have all their sequels out when they still haven’t bothered putting his main route out. Heck, all of act 3 came out before this act 2 character, which makes no sense. That being said, a lot of the content in this game is really good. I loved most of the routes I’ve read and am still actively involved in the fandom even though I’ve deleted the app. I suppose my only point here is that it’s wonderful, but only to a point, at least in my opinion. I wish the writing team had put more thought into fleshing out the worldbuilding in a way that strengthened the story and overall reading experience rather than detracting from it, and I wish they’d released the sequels and EL routes in a more thoughtful way, but oh well.
Can’t Play
I’ll give it an extra star that at least this game actually started, unlike the previous one, but the amount of times characters were just floating faces was creepy. Add on that when I finally got to pick a route I couldn’t even start because every time the main page tried to load it was constant notifications and news updates. Like, thanks for keeping me updated but could you not throw those updates in front of my face one after the other when I’ve just started the game? I can’t even play my chosen route because I spent so long tapping through the updates I lost all my interest in playing any further. I’ll give the company this-their games so far a consistent waste of my time.
Challenges are annoying
The game is fun and the stories are intriguing, however I think the avatar challenges that MAKE you choose items are absurd. If you’ve already spent money on the game and dressed your avatar how you like, why must I buy something I don’t even like just to continue the story? I spent $20 on story tickets just to be stopped by the stupid challenges like this, it makes me regret buying them in the first place. People who pay money to play should get some sort of exemption from these tedious challenges. I don’t think I’ll be spending anymore after this.

How To Be Happy Playing Ikémen Sengoku!
I have been playing this game for a few years now. I’ve seen some reviews saying it’s pay to progress, so I’m going to share some tips for successful enjoyment of the game: 1. Gold is a thing! You can definitely freeplay this game if you accumulate enough gold. You just have to do Princess Lessons regularly, log in daily (gold is frequently the log in prize), and accumulate 50 friends and greet them daily. There’s walkthroughs online that tell you how much gold you need to clear a route. 2. Skip story events. They’re spend-real-money pits. Save up the Glamor pieces you’re given as login prizes for a couple of years and then spend them all on your favorite character’s birthday event. 3. Play the collection events, but only as a way to challenge yourself to see how many hearts you can collect. You can rack up about 200 hearts just by timing your gameplay and Princess Lessons to Lucky Times, when you get double, triple or four times the hearts. You can’t get attire without spending real money. 4. You don’t have to read the routes in order. The earlier routes can get repetitious, yes - all the Romantic Endings and Dramatic Endings seem to hit similar beats. But the routes that came out later in the first season (Mitsuhide, Sasuke and Kennyo) and all the second season routes are better written. 5. Pace yourself. You don’t need to read chapters every day, the number of tickets you get each day is exactly five. Nowadays, I only read during heart collection events and just login for the daily prize and to keep up Princess Lessons and friend greetings during story events. Hope this helps! It’s possible to enjoy this game without spending a lot of money - and it IS enjoyable, with likable characters and an MC who at least has some backbone. There’s a reason this is the only Ikémen game still installed on my phone.

Rip Off
So I’ve been playing this game. It’s been fun. But “free coins” are not free at all. This game is basically a micro scam. And on top of it I paid .99 for some coins but ended up paying 11.75? I asked this company many times to give me my stolen money back still no answer. Then the cherry on top is that the tickets reset at 12 am PST (and you get 5 tickets every reset) so I didn’t play for a few days to save up the tickets but to my surprise I still only had 5. So this game and all other games by this company seem to be a complete scam.

okay this game is great, story is better than ikemen prince but it’s so hard to earn hearts for the events like how can someone get 600 hearts in ___ amount of time without spending money to get it?? and compared to ikemen prince, it’s quite tedious to earn free diamonds but in this game you literally cant earn them for free (coins) unless you pay 2 points in summary- would be great if it was easier to earn hearts for events & be able to earn free diamonds like ikemen prince
Out Dated
I really want to like this, the amount of times I’ve downloaded and re-download but the interface is off putting, its out dated and difficult to navigate. Unlike Ikémen Vampire that’s polished and user friendly, this one is the opposite, the colours aren’t striking and the lack of base choice for the avatar in the beginning isn’t great, it would be nice to have more choice! (Hair colour being an example) I hope to come back to this game one day to find a complete upgrade but for now I’ll stay with Ikémen Vampire.

The game is actually quite fun to play the only problem I had was to get passed a chapter I had to do this event which required for me to get 300 coins.. and 300 coins cost 2.99 and well I’ve never spent money on a game like this, so I had to delete the game because I wasn’t able to get 300 coins and continue reading ☹️.

I played the game four years ago. It was nice, perfect. Deleted it and downloaded it again four years later and it saved my progress. I didn’t know how to start over or even delete any of my progress. I didn’t want to delete my account since it was such a long process and there was no guarantee I’d be able to make a new account with the same email address anyway so I tried deleting the account and downloading it again multiple times. Same thing. At the end of the day I figured out how to change my route and it asked me for a suitor key which I didn’t have cause it’s been four years and I don’t remember finishing the game. I had no idea what was even going on where I stopped so I ended up just deleting the game.

Excellent Stories but so hard to play
Sengoku has many of the best stories out of the all cybird ikemen offerings, but the app is so clunky to use and there’s been no attempt made at improving it in the years I’ve been playing it. Even worse than that, obtaining the special in-game currency (which is coins in Sengoku’s case) is a nightmare, especially compared to their other ongoing games. You only get 5 a day from watching ads. You don’t even get 10 a day, like Vampire offers. You don’t get any for starting a new route like you do in Prince, Revolution, and Vampire. You don’t get any as a login bonus like, again, Vampire, Prince and Revolution offer. You don’t get any as rewards for during special events, like, yet again, the other three games. Even with the coin system being extremely stingy in Sengoku, the they don’t compensate for this difficulty by making it any easier whatsoever to buy attire for premium stories than the other games. Seeing as the last premium story in every route costs 900 coins, this means free-to-play players have to sit through daily ads for coins for 6 straight months in order to acquire them. I want to rate this game 5 stars based on the quality of the stories, but it’s too hard to play and the app is too outdated to use to deserve that.
Great game but lose data
I used to love this game, I did every story on every character to unlock everything and spent a lot of money on this for events and all the unlockables. But then all my data disappeared and I can no longer get it back and have to start again and I spent a fortune on this game. Little disappointing.
Great but having some issues.
It’s a really good otome game with so many stories it’s like you can never really get bored. I’m sad though because recently it won’t load at all and just get a blank screen. Is there any fixes for it?

This game is so laggy. Every time I open it, I have to restart it a few times to get it to work. I even turned off animation and voice messages, updated to the latest version, and restarted my phone. Still laggy and slow. Freezes too.
Love the game but
It loads very slowly, and given how much loading scenes there are between practically every page, that’s a lot of time spent just waiting for the game to load rather than playing the game. Not sure if it’s just me. It’s an issue that’s been going on for a few years now.
Too money hungry
I love playing this game and have played already several routes but the coin system really ruins everything. You barely make progress in the game if you’re not spending actual money. I’d rather pay for the app and have a much more reasonable/attractive in app purchase system.
Great game but don’t trust them
I have a lot of fun reading these stories, but once I bought some “coins” in the game, first time ever, and the next day they took 99 cents they weren’t entitled to out of my account, for no reason, so I’d never buy any coins from them again although I’d like to. Not to be trusted! I had to go through a lot to secure my account. Also, their extra stories are exorbitantly expensive. I’d earn more coins by watching videos and “buy” more if they weren’t!

It’s a good game but there are a few miss spellings and it doesn’t explain that much on how to get coins I had to search it up and you basically have to pay or watch 500 ads to get what you need overall I like the story and it’s a good game!
Money drain
Don’t get me wrong, I love this game. The story lines are great and the character development is better than almost any other of these I’ve played. However, the amount of money it forces you to spend is ridiculous. In order to get the better story routes you have to use ‘gold’ the only way to get this is to buy it with your own money or watch videos for gold. The latter of which is completely pointless. You only get 1 gold coin for every video you watch and are capped out at 5 per day, so there is literally no point. In addition, some of the routes require as much as 900 gold coins which will cost you £10. If you’re going to charge a fortune on a game, just charge me a fortune at the start so at least I know what I’m getting into and don’t get into the storyline and have to give up the game half way through. That’s NOT fair. It’s also completely unreasonable to charge so much extra for this game than you’d spend on a book as that’s basically all these apps are: a glorified interactive book.
Clunky outdated
This game could be amazing. But The interface is old, clunky and not fit for use anymore. The sections take too long to load and you cannot find everything you need . The way to get the ending you want you need Premium items which are not cheap either . The avatars in the room/castle are basic at best and make the game seem cheap. I played two full chapters and uninstalled. There are Much better Otome games than this.
Favorite Ikemen
These stories are my favorite, I like the music, the characters and the story line isn’t cheesy or the dialogue. The vampire or prince that’s 17+ is all about sexy time which I don’t like, these stories are actually nice. My favorite is Leyasu’s story.
Good until
I finished Motonari’s story and i got the full love bonus…i went to go check it out in the presenr box, came back and…i cant get back. I never got to read the full love bonus, i never got to switch to the dramatic route, nothing. It forced me to start a new story and even i choose motonari again it forced me to start from episode one. It literally made me cry i worked hard and paid so much money on this game (well over 40 bucks) just to be scammed into giving it all up because i didn’t stay on a certain page (when it LITERALLY gives you the option to see your prizes, i.e. leave the page) never again. I had fun, but i can’t justify this.
Just don’t play events
I love this game but the events are so expensive! Plus pleas open up some more routes with the others that haven’t had a route yet. I love it and will continue to play just not the events..
Ok at first
The game was ok at first but micro transactions really ruin it. The fact you have to watch 400 ads to pass a love challenge is horrible and leaves you no choice but to either watch the ads or pay for coins.

i uninstalled the game for a while to save storage. and when i reinstalled i found that it saved my old game. however i really wanted to just start from scratch. is there a way i can do that or do i just have to deal with it?
