Noise
Do I really need to be asked to review the app every time I open it? Half the time the app doesn't display accounts and balances. 👍
AI instead of a human via telephone
I have been a member of the GEFCU credit union for over 40 years and I’ve loved it since day one. However I used to be able to call and talk to one of the receptionist and she could transfer me to the department I needed and unfortunately now I have to deal with AI. It is extremely frustrating and in my opinion bad service and I wish that could be changed although I realize we’re moving toward that with everything else, but not having someone at my bank when I’m in a panic is really hard on me.
No option for principle only payment
The app is fairly easy enough to navigate, but it would be extremely beneficial and a time saver to add the option of making a principle payment. It’s a hassle to have to call in order to make a principle only payment.

Can’t use it
Can’t make a payment app doesn’t work. Just always pops up call the bank to move money. What’s the point in having an app at all?
Deposit Hold Too Long
When depositing a check on a local bank, via the app, and before the cutoff, GECU places a two day hold, which starts the NEXT business day. Even the first $100 is not available. Ridiculous.

Hate it… I have to Thule more screens to get to where I want to be. I cannot see all my pending payments on on screen anymore. I loved what I had. Why did you change it?! Please put things back where you had it.

I’m all for updating apps and evolving them for the better, but this last update is a disaster. It honestly feels like someone’s kid has a class project to design a new app and this is the result. The old app was easy to navigate and had a straightforward interface. This app seems like it was designed by someone who has never paid a bill online.
Horrible app
By far!…this is thee worst banking app I’ve seen. Unlike US Bank’s app where you can move money between personal and business accounts, you simply cannot do this with this General Electric app. I have to leave my house, and find a FAR in between ATM of theirs (which is very few) to withdraw cash from my personal checking just to redeposit that same money into my business account. This is horrible.
Easy to use!
GECU has taken online banking to a more user friendly level, with this app, it is easy to look at your account(s), to see what transactions have cleared. Thank you for making this a breeze!
Make paying account easier
I want to make a payment, don’t tell me there’s no eligible accounts, let me add an account with out giving me an error screen.

Sometimes it works sometimes it dont this is what wee have to look forward to with banking wanting to go digital. And they wonder why ppl are pushing ti keep physical currency around

New App Layout
New layout sucks, tried to make a loan payment but it kept taking me to the “pay with your GE account” option. I do not have a bank account with GE and i could not find the option to pay my loan with my saved outside account like i used to eventually I gave up and had to log in to the actual website just to pay.

If you’re a customer of GECU this is the only app option, so it’s not like you can say, “oh, but I like this other app better than this one.” Still it does what it’s supposed to do and have some cool features.
Awful update
This latest update is CLUTTERED and LACKS INTUITIVENESS. The UI is frustrating to navigate trying to find and pay a bill- having 4 options above the bill pay option, no more banner reminding you of available bills, compressed list of payees crammed into the screen & reduced font for payee list. Less user friendly and clean than the app has been for years prior to this update. It’s brilliance and ease of use was in how simply organized and clean the app appearance was while highlighting common actions and having a larger secondary “more” menu for typically less used/less needed actions like Zelle and outside accounts. Poorly designed and redundant actions now, like a transfer option on both “my accounts” list & in “pay and transfer” tab. The Pay option not being the first option of the Pay menu anymore says it all about how poorly executed and lacking common sense the changes are. Stuck using this garbage bc the customer experience of going into a branch is equally disappointing to have a slowed down transaction process with remote tellers in echoing lobbies that share my business with anyone with ears. Or the awkwardness of standing in a large, barely decorated space listening to other customers transactions while you have to wait for someone to walk away to the back of the building to get you a roll of coins. The staff are nice enough, but the disconnect between them and actual customer service or providing a comfortable and at least semi-private customer experience anymore is getting worse.

I don’t know what idiot you have working on this app but he needs to go. Stop moving stuff around. It’s impossible to even make auto loan payments. I’ve been trying to make a payment all weekend. I’m calling Monday to transfer all my money. Don’t bother. I’m so very frustrated. Don’t bother calling either. These cheap losers at GECU won’t even hire real people to help you. Nothing but bots. I’m so angry. I’m writing to the BBB as we speak. Fed up.

After the last update, I am no longer able to pay my auto loan from within the app.
