With a little patience - perfection!
Be sure to watch online videos of how to set up. It can be a little tricky getting phone set up depending upon lighting and background, but once it’s set up it worked perfectly every time.
Update ruined great app
The latest update ruined the app. And now has settings distance from gun site that doesn’t make any sense that weren’t there before. The app no longer allows me to use my own target. Which I had always done. Now it gets hung up I’m trying to find the reload mark which my own target doesn’t have. Keeps trying to find the reload mark and won’t load the range. Can’t use the app anymore please fix

Laser program
The program works very well. My only complaint is there is no way to minimize the window or close the program.
Highly Recommended!
This is an incredible training tool. I’ve made several videos recommending the use of this app in conjunction with a training laser or training pistol. You won’t beat live ammo but you can work on your draw, target acquisition and trigger press through your first shot. I mirror my phone screen to my big living room TV and shoot at a scaled down IPSC target and it is a BLAST! Thank you for making this free.
Need to roll back to previous version
Latest version with audio setup instructions and new “Target confirmation” is junk. What worked perfectly in the previous version now doesn’t work at all. Please pull of the crap out of the code and go back to last years version.
After a few months
LaserHIT is an awesome training tool — accurate, easy to set up, and a lot of fun to use. It’s one of the best ways I’ve found to get meaningful practice in at home without burning through ammo, and the app runs smoothly with plenty of great features. The only drawback is the pricing model. To really unlock the system you have to pay a monthly fee for the Pro version, and it’s noticeably higher than what most apps charge. It would be nice if more came included with the base purchase instead of needing an ongoing subscription. Overall, though, LaserHIT delivers a great training experience. If you don’t mind the recurring cost, it’s hard to beat.
Latest update ruined the accuracy
Before the update the app record shots accurately, after not even close. Upgrades are meant to improve the product most of the time.
Great but a little annoying.
It is great except for three things. I use the top score version. The maximum time limit is 5 minutes, when in the competition I have 10 minutes for 10 shots. I can't understand why it is set this way? It is impossible to set the distance with accuracy to tenths, the standard target is 1:4 scale which at 25m gives 6.25m, and I have to enter 6m. Not very elaborate statistics about the focus, we only have the size of the group, and it could still be, for example, the offset from the center.
Wow the updates
I took a break from the app…sometimes it was hard to get the lighting right for the target..just fired it up today. And wow. So many improvements. I relay enjoy it much better
Update ruined it
Before this new update it was working perfect easy to set up. Now it it always get stuck on phone is moving . When my phone is absolutely still. This was never a problem until you guys updated it

Don’t buy the Top Score feature
I put down the extra $10 for the Top Score feature and it records 0 points for every shot regardless of location.

Fantastic when paired with Coolfire trainer
I recently purchased a Coolfire trainer for my daily carry S&W Shield and downloaded the LaserHIT app to track my time and hits on target. The app is fantastic and pairs very well with the Coolfire trainer with red laser. This setup allows me to train in my home, with my pistol using my sights and trigger, get realistic recoil, and practice techniques that would not be possible at a range such as drawing from a holster, double taps, rapid fire and reload drills. I went ahead and purchased the add-on packages and I’m glad I did. I really like how the app allows customization to set up a dry fire drill specific to my needs. LaserHIT tracks the red laser strikes perfectly and you can even save your session results to analyze later. You can specify the max hits registered, time limits, buzzer time for starting. This is going to make me a better shooter and I look forward to any new addition-one from LaserHIT. I don’t go to the range as often as I should but I thing this app will be an excellent supplement.
LaserHit kit a ripoff
After paying $159 for a $70 laser cartridge, tripod and case, that is advertised as a complete kit, it is disappointing to have to pay $10 per feature in the app.
Great trainer, just needs a couple updates.
This is the first laser trainer I purchased. As a new user so far I’m enjoying it, but I wish the app would retain history versus a screenshot. I just obtained the larger HD targets sold by laser hit and paid for the 2 extra modes. Will be using it more as time goes one. If the save/history feature was better I’d give it a 5.

Love this App
I recently started dry-fire training and I tried two different apps to record my practice. LaserHit is by far the best. I love the touch less reload and the bullet-hole style of each target hit. Highly recommend!
Won't work with iPad
The app doesn't work with my iPad 2. I was hoping to use this older iPad as a dedicated training tool with this app. It works on my iPhone 11 pro but does hang up or closes from time to time. It also takes way too long to set up a session; too many redundant things you have to select. There should be a shortcut option to the most frequently used drills.
Great if it saved your stats
The app would easily get 5 Stars if it actually saved your stats (within the app). Sure you save them to your photos, but that’s lame. I would love to see how my shooting has improved over time which is beyond cumbersome and silly if you were actually trying to do the same thing digging through your photos on your phone. As a shooter I’d love to see my average scores over time day/day, week/week, year/year for each of the 4 practice tools so that I can see improvements. As a shooter, I would love to see a dry fire log of how many shots per day, week, month, year so I can see if I’m beginning to slack. Thank you!!!
It could be great, but it’s not
It is tedious to set this system up. There is not a single place in my home where the lighting is good enough for this software. When it works it’s great, but 90% of the time it takes so long to set up, I quit. I have other things to do and have set aside time to dry fire. I end up spending that time trying to set it up. Not acceptable at all.
Nice for the price
The laser bullet works well for $38. The app worked very well 5-6 times, Then the sound died. I reset my iPhone, reinstalled the app, then reset the phone again. But, still no sound. I really liked the sound - bang, pop, shells hitting the ground.... too bad.
Simplest and best dry fire tool out there
I used several different dry fire tools and this one is the most consistent and simple. It allows you to focus on speed or accuracy individually so you can see real improvement in one session. The sound effects are great and the fact that it calls out your hits is excellent! Connecting it to a TV is excellent when you are actually standing 30 feet away.
Look elsewhere
Pathetic that I paid $100 for this and now in order to use targets that came in the kit I have to pay another $20 in the app.
Charged me wrong price for in app purchase
I tried unlocking the $9.99 “Top Score” feature and the app charged my bank $22. Great fun and practice but that was robbery.
App works but no support
Trying to buy more target programs, not working, no way to contact developers??
iPad compatibility
I would give this 5 stars except it says the iPhone version will work with the iPad and it doesn't. I have it on my work phone because the one I downloaded on my iPad doesn't work. This makes it impossible for my husband to use it when I'm working. Please fix this issue!!!!!
Need shoot numbering
All works perfect except shoots numbering. Small number inserted inside the bullet hole there as an option would be just perfect. Also some modification (plastic part) for the AR and 9mm guns that will allow shooting without rearming would be useful. I think I did see it provided with some other systems out there.
Needs updates!
Not updated in over two years and obviously needs it. Camera randomly zooms in an out and loses the targets or randomly registers hits when not firing. Also charging extra for 50% of the modes available when you’ve already spent a bunch of money on there hardware is misleading and annoying
4.5 star🌟
Overall the app at first seemed to be a bit confusing. However, I realized pretty soon that I was the issue and not the app. I’ve only used this app for one day, however, I am very pleased with it thus far. I will say that once I had figured out how to run the app, I am able to zoom around it with ease. The app will use your camera to look for “red” on and around your target. So you will have to adjust your lighting in your room. Once I had that figured out as well it became a breeze to use. I did not purchase the laser hit “ laser bullet” because they did not have it in 9mm on their website. However, I found on Amazon the Pink Rhino “laser bullet” in 9mm, and I’ve been using it. Works phenomenal with the app and it’s half the price. That said, back to the app. The lighting in your room can cause the app to “double count rounds” so if the camera picks up a red light or light ray on the target it can count two shots on the target even if you only fired once. I put 502 shots onto the app yesterday which was my first day, and maybe it double counted shots like 10 times or so. Sooo 95%ish accuracy as far as I’m concerned. I absolutely love the app and it’s ease of use, I just wish their product was a bit less expensive.
Clunky Pointless App
Short version - 2-Stars. It works, but not well. You get very little benefit from using the app. Just train without it. So, I bought the LaserHIT kit off Amazon and got the app. There is very little direction, but it’s fairly easy to set up. It just feels so clunky and not thought out. The App seems to be an after thought. Maybe compared to other dry fire training apps, this is good, but it’s NOT a good app. Here are the issues: 1. App is slow even on an iPhone XS Max 2. Starting a training means you have to check 3 boxes to prove you’re being safe. This is just annoying and does nothing. Also, the boxes are so small I have trouble even clicking them. 3. I also have to accept some legal disclaimer each time I open the app. I get it, guns are dangerous and you’re not liable. 4. There are only two training modes available unless I spend another $20. I already paid for the kit, could I at least get a code to unlock the training? 5. The default training is so bland I’m not inspired to pay for the others. 6. The “tutorial” videos are just silent films of some guy using the app to train. How about some dialogue that actually explains the training, why it’s useful, how to set it up? You know, a tutorial. 7. The targets aren’t the right proportions to fit the screen and line up with the reload area. Am I supposed to cut the targets? Who knows, there are no instructions! All-in-all this feels like a crappy Chinese app they paid $100 for on Fiver.
No sound
Good target practice for dry firing but has no sound. Need sound or am I doing something wrong. Contacted support got right back to haven’t had time to try there troubleshooting Otherwise 5 stars.
It’s been great
I have used this app for at least a year if not longer. It works well with my iPhone, large monitor and my 9mm laser bullet. I was looking forward to new modules (challenges) to the app but there has been no update/improvements or challenges. Please don’t abandon this app, lot of us use it, like it and would like to continue.

Great Dry Fire Tool
I use this with the Pink Rhino 9mm laser. With a G2c I can fire repeatedly without having to rack! I’ve only used the free practice mode and absolutely love it. As a new shooter this app has helped practicing immensely. Learning proper grip, front sight focus, stance, and good trigger pull is much more rewarding with feedback on shot placement. The results at the range let me know this app is helping me improve without spending $$$ on ammo. Update 7/31/2020 I took off one star only because of rapid firing the app doesn’t register the first hit when the second follows so closely. Still, all the free features are fantastic and I still use it daily.
Disappointed
Works fine but won’t let me buy in app purchases. The support tab brings me to their home page but no way to contact anyone! 🤨
Dry practice is essential!
I’ve been police officer for 20 years, 7 of which I’ve been assigned as a firearms instructor. Firearms proficiency is a perishable skill, and how quickly that skill perishes is different for everyone. With a busy schedule, going to the range can be quite a challenge for the majority of people. Add the cost of ammo, and the importance of consistent dry practice is clear. Despite working as a firearms instructor and having access to ammunition, I find the LaserHIT system to be an incredible tool to maintain good fundamentals and gun handling. To date, I have over 3000 trigger pulls on LaserHIT. I am still using the original cartridge cap that I purchased, a testament to the quality of the product. The system is extremely effective in registering hits, and easy to setup. Practicing your sight alignment, trigger control, draw, reloads, target acquisition and more in the comfort of your own home is fantastic. LaserHIT’s customer service is exceptional, as any phone calls or emails I’ve made with questions were answered immediately. I can’t recommend it enough, and LaserHIT is an indispensable tool for new shooters as well as experienced ones. Be safe and train consistently.
Absolute garbage
This app is trash. The associated hardware is fine, if essentially cheap laser snap caps. The app itself is pathetic. The UI and UX are horrible, the app crashes randomly, the mechanism to “save” your session score cards is laughable at best, but worst of all the setup for each “mode” is tedious and error prone. Hire engineers with computer vision experience, it will go a long way. On the “business” side, they couldn’t even handle shipping the correct target sizes.

Very nice for use with SIRT pistol
This works very well with my SIRT pistol and the various targets I've tried - full sized FAST Target, Dot Torture, etc. It would be nice to be able to export results as individual target images (I.e. after each round the target was saved temporarily to a jpeg without the overlays and then you could select which ones you wanted to save to photos afterwards...) I also notice that sometimes the app does not register fast consecutive shots but that may be something adjustable in settings. Otherwise very solid performance - this is the app I recommend first to students and friends!
