What people like
- Super simple and easy to use
- Great for dry fire practice
- Works well as a free app
What they complain about
- Does not count your shots
- No split times between shots
- Hard to manage preset lists
How do you.
Hi guys, how do you set up dry fire, one shot no second shot I have a striker fired pistol.
Nope
Evidently no one knows how a shooting timer should work. If you want a timer that counts your shots and shows your splits or time between shots this IS NOT IT as is the case with most of these apps. Total waste of time
Love this with one gripe
This is great, will be very useful for dry fire practice when traveling/anytime I don’t have a shot timer on me. I do wish I could turn off the second counting beeps, I really just want my start and end beeps.
Par timer not a shot timer
This tool is a par timer only. It does a good job at consistently spitting out par times. Be advised this is not a shot timer, and will not count shots or give split times.
Simple, effective, useful
The strength of this app lies in its simplicity. It does not tell me actual split times, rather lets me know if I am on par with my goals and clearly shows me areas I need to work on. I use it for dry fire at home, similarly to the rotating targets function at the range where I set face and edge times. The target events are denoted by beeps, which can be disabled. In silent mode you react to the changing interface colors. I tried other apps that use the microphone but found them finicky to calibrate, frequently missing shots or giving false positives when disengaging the safety.
Don't waste your time
It doesn't actually keep track of shots. It's basically just a stopwatch. It makes beeping noises and stops after 10 seconds but doesn't actually keep track of your shots like range timer app
Nice
It's simple and I love it! It would be even better if it had gunshot recognition.
Good, but missing some critical capabilities
So the app works, but with some challenges. 1. I haven’t figured out how to rename or delete a preset 2. Would be nice to be able to order the presets too 3. The way you select repetitions is wonky, with the number being the total number of times the timer will run, rather than the number of tones it will repeat. Just a grammar thing. I do like the app as a whole, and will keep using it. If there were a way to contact the developer, I would leave a 5 star review and simply put in a feature request. But on their webpage there is no contact option.
Great App
Love it. Great beginners app. Don’t feel like I’m just throwing lead down range anymore
No way to see times.
Once you stop the timer the time disappears when not set to a certain duration. Makes it useless for seeing improvements.
Great app
Great app wish I could actually time my shots but basic core function of the app is amazing and very intuitive.
Great training
Prefect for dry fire training at home
They have stopped the forced update
It appears that the most recent update will give the user the option to update the app when convenient. Much better than updating at the range.
Excellent dry fire trainer
Used exclusively for Steel Challenge stages.
Doesn’t count shots
Everything works well but it doesn’t count your shots
Perfect
You can spend money on a shot timer and get more features, but for a free app this is not beatable.
Took .5 Seconds off Draw Day 1
This is exactly what I was looking for to practice dry fire. I started at 2.0 seconds and after several rounds was hitting 1.70 5/5 times. 1.50 seconds 2-3/5 draws and it’s only day one. If you’re looking to draw and fire faster, this is the app you’re looking for.
Simple & Effective
Simple enough to set up quickly, and very effective.
Very solid app
It’s very simple and straight forward. This is the best alternative to an expensive shot timer for sure.
Best in the business
Simple to use, everything you want in a timer.
