Great product and community
The product has been a godsend! It’s got a sleek interface and tracks a lot of variables. The Facebook group is incredible offering support in chart interpretation and user tips.
Not worth the price
The app itself is ok I suppose, although lately when contacting support the emails do not send. You have to physically send an email from your email account if you want it to actually reach them. I do not recommend tempdrop. I bought the original device and recently it has been draining the battery so quickly that it needs a new battery within a few days. I let tempdrop support know and they acknowledged the malfunction on their end (and not something I had done). What was the response? Sorry your device is outside the warranty here’s a discount to buy a new one. No thank you! I’ll be trying something else.
Bon produit
Le produit est de qualité, la cohérence entre mon suivi sur une autre application que j’ai depuis 2023 qui ne fait pas la température basale et Temdrop est au rendez-vous donc le calcul de la température basale est clair et cohérent avec mon cycle. Cependant, aujourd’hui pour le même prix d’autres applications proposent le même service avec un vrai suivi de cycle. Donc je dirais qu’aujourdhui Temdrop est trop cher. Le service client (en anglais) est très réactif ! J’avais un problème de pile ils m’ont offert 4 mois d’abonnement gratuit. 4/5 étoiles car le produit répond à ses promesses.
Prefer the old version of app
This app is great for tracking temp, but I prefer the old version of the app. The new update is cumbersome to get to the info you need with unwanted articles on the main app screen and no longer having your data as the main function of the Home Screen. I am using this app to see my data, not read articles and tips on cycle tracking etc. A help tab would make more sense for that.
Great device, bad app
I love my Tempdrop device for reliably getting accurate temps. But this app is awful. Tons of content all over the home page. The articles look like ads. After the recent update my totally normal cycle was labeled “irregular” from day 1. Huh? Please simplify the user interface. I just want my temps! I have to use a different app for actually tracking my chart.
Couldn’t swipe through my sleep chart anymore, BUT they fixed it!
I love my tempdrop and would normally rate it 5 stars but I updated the app recently and now I can’t swipe through my sleep chart anymore. It does tell me how long I’ve slept but I can’t see the times it when I woke up in the night anymore. I can see the chart but it won’t let me swipe through it anymore to see any of the times. Edit: they fixed it!!! ⭐️
Long term user moving away from this device due to recent reliability issues / poor customer service
I’ve used Tempdrop for about 8 years and have purchased three devices in that time. When my previous device developed problems, support’s solution was essentially to buy another one, which I did. Now, only about a month into using my newest Tempdrop, the app crashed while syncing and then wouldn’t open at all. Support instructed me to delete and reinstall the app. After doing so, the Home screen began displaying my most recent temperature when I selected ANY previous date, even though the correct historical temperatures still appear in the Chart tab. When I reported this discrepancy—with screenshots—support responded by explaining how to access my temperature history, rather than addressing the fact that I was reporting changed/incorrect app behavior. Throughout this exchange, their responses have felt dismissive and condescending, repeatedly explaining basic functionality instead of addressing the actual problems I’ve described. Tempdrop is marketed to people who rely on continuous temperature data. Having hardware or software fail in the middle of a cycle isn’t a minor inconvenience—you cannot go back and collect a missed temperature later. This is now the second cycle in which either Tempdrop’s hardware or software has caused problems for me. After 8 years, three devices, recurring reliability issues, and this customer-service experience, I’ve lost confidence in Tempdrop. I’m researching alternatives and may simply return to a basic BBT thermometer. For such an expensive product, I expected considerably better reliability and support.
Edit: so far, so good
Overall the app is fairly good. I am in my third month, and I’m curious to see how long it takes of consistent tracking before the predictions are accurate. I definitely like knowing when my period is actually going to arrive! I also appreciate the sleep tracking, but I wish it was a little more able to tell when I am asleep/awake. Still, a nice bonus!
Too much money
So I actually enjoy Tempdrop, but this subscription model feels like extortion. You buy their $100+ device, just to pay every month to be able to use it. Its accuracy is not the greatest. It’s marked ovulation before I even got positive ovulation tests. If you add any cervical mucus it automatically marks it as fertile. It just seems like a scam.
Good, but recent app crashes make it impossible to use
I haven’t had a problem with temp drop for the past few years. It’s been an amazing tool for tracking my temperature overnight and it has always synced flawlessly. However, since the most recent update, I now haven’t been able to sync my Tempdrop for the past 3 days in a row because the app is immediately crashing. These temperatures are vital for me, and I feel as though I’ve been “flying blind” for the past few days because the actual wearable Tempdrop doesn’t have a visible temperature display as a backup to know what my lowest temp is overnight in the event that it doesn’t sync with the app. And now with the app crashes, it’s been impossible to know those readings. I’ve always been happy with the app and service, but this has left me extremely frustrated the past few days. Developers, please address this so the app no longer immediately crashes!

App dysfunction
I would like to use the app, but it take a long time to open and crashes within a few seconds.
New update not user friendly
I love this app. I loved how it displayed the days and temps all on one screen and you could scroll through. Now that area has been replaced with ads for programs or whatever. It used to be so easy to see you days and info and now you have to go through and click each day to view any info when it all used to display together :(
It used to be reliable
I had no trouble with this app until some time in January 2025 (after about a year of use). Now the odds that I can even get it to load are rarely in my favor. It sticks on a loading screen, and I can’t get in at all. The first failure lasted over two weeks. I then deleted and downloaded again, but it didn’t help. Finally one day it worked again. Hooray! Except it didn’t last. I’m back to five days since it last worked for me. Since that’s the only way to get the data off the device, I’m basically screwed. I wish it were better.
New homepage is just ads and articles
I’ve had a subscription for a few years but this newest update is the pits. When I open the app I want to see the data I pay yearly for, not ads and articles. The articles look interesting if I needed the info, but it’s just kinda rude to take away the scrolling format of MY DATA and replace with the apps content. Please change it back.
A Game-Changer for Understanding My Body!
Since discovering Tempdrop, it has become a non-negotiable part of my nightly routine, I never go to sleep without it. It’s done more than just track my temperature; it’s helped me understand my body in ways I never thought possible. The insights I’ve gained into my cycle and overall health have been truly empowering. I can’t imagine my fertility journey without it.
Recent app update has made it borderline unusable
App used to work great and the thermometer cuff itself is great. but since a recent update it is incredibly glitchy and cumbersome to work with. I’ve started just recording my temps in a different app for cycle tracking because despite the extra work it’s still less annoying than using this app
Why no apple health sync??
Love my Tempdrop but wish the app would sync with Apple Health and automatically transfer data.
Worked great..until it didn’t
It worked great, wore it almost every night for over a month, then the whole app stopped and all of my data is gone.
Was Charged twice during “free trial” period!
I love Tempdrop. But straight up, the premium version does not feel worth it at all. The sleep tracking is inaccurate. Also, I subscribed to a free 2 month trial, but I’ve been getting charged monthly for it!!
Is my go to fertility tracker app
Amazing app! Super clear and helpful! I love the armband sensor! Helpful for those who are TTA with the FAM method!! And for those TTC!
Only good for temp tracking
This app is HORRIBLE to use to track anything besides temperature. You have to click each individual day for your period and type. Trying to track pregnancy horrible, log a miscarriage doubly horrible. They just aren’t user friendly to get the job down so I have to use another app to do all of that stuff easier. Disappointing since you pay over a $100 for the arm band. Also confusing when they “premium feature” but the stuff shows up for you??? Like what is actually premium or not.
Love, but could use more
This app has been incredibly helpful in tracking my cycles & fertility. However, I find some difficulty in switching from pregnancy mode to cycle tracking mode. There’s not a mode for postpartum or breastfeeding which makes things a bit confusing. It just tells me my cycle is late. It would be really helpful if there were some more detailed instructions during those phases when you don’t have a cycle, and education on how to track those times.

If you want a skin temp device with free app use Ava. This one is a scam and I wish I never bought!! So frustrated!
Bad at sleep tracking
Pros are that you don’t have to wake up for your BBT temps and as someone whose kid wakes them up all through the night, that little extra of sleep is dire to me. Which brings me to my next point- this item is very bad at tracking sleep. Because I’m waking up a lot, I can identify that easily. The other night I didn’t go to sleep until 1 am but was laying down with my kid for hours before then. Well, while I was laying down at 10:30 pm it decided I fell asleep although I was wide awake. Today I woke up horribly unrefreshed after a night of about 10 wake ups and sure enough it only logged one and said I slept great. So really not good for tracking sleep. I got the subscription trial because I was excited to track my sleep too but after how inaccurate it is, I already canceled the subscription within a week. Sleep tracking is really the only reason to even do the subscription. Still does OPKs but that’s it.

The worst
Slid off my arm all night, the device glitched constantly and the app is frustrating to navigate- if I could give zero stars I would. What a total waste of money.
sleep tracking needs improvement
great app but defineitly need to improve the sleep tracking portion especially if you have to pay to use it… thats the one disappointment i’ve had. otherwise would have been 5/6
Overpriced & overrated
I’m convinced that the people who rave about the Tempdrop are brand affiliates. Pros: -It’s definitely helpful to have a wearable device and not have to wake up at any certain time to track temps Cons: -Really not user-friendly -Algorithm & data-changing makes you wonder if the initial data it gives you is accurate or not -Have to pay a monthly fee just to get basic interpretation of your data (not to mention other factors that it’s already tracking) that other apps already provide for free—the device is already around $140, and is worth $60 at most -Stores very little data After all that, BBT tracking is a lot less reliable than you think, as only around 11% of people who ovulate have a BBT rise within 24hrs after (many have a more gradual and delayed rise instead). I was so ready to love the Tempdrop, but after a year of use I can say that LH strips have been much more cost-effective, user-friendly and accurate
Love the sensor, but not the app
The sensor works great, but the app would force me to pay for interpretations of data, but I can input the temp into other apps for free interpretation. Separately, there has been issues just opening the app since the new update.
Accurate, simple, easy.
I work nights, so taking BBT at the same time every day isn’t feasible to me. I’ve had two pregnancies now and both have unfortunately ended in miscarriage, but tempdrop was on the dot accurate for my ovulation dates that resulted in conception. I believe I only conceived so fast as I’ve been using tempdrop for 4 years and have discovered I ovulate later, around CD 19-23. It’s an invaluable tool that has given me so much data and I highly recommend.
Does not predict correctly at all
Literally the one thing it’s supposed to do. It prioritizes a standard cycle of 28 days over the actual data it receives from me and my temperature. Absolute not worth the money.
Add Manual Ovulation Confirming
I love this app so much! I use it for FAM tracking and it has made the process so much easier. My ONE complaint is I wish you could manually confirm ovulation from ovulation strips… it’s all automatically confirmed based solely on temp. But if there is a time the band is not worn or does not track for some reason it could miss a day.. I wish you could enter it on your own and it still be “confirmed ovulation”.
Making paying customers pay for the app
The thermometer works great, makes one tiny step easier, sure. But It is not cheap and making customers who already bought it have to pay to see the absolute minimum information is very crappy. The only one piece of information you can get from it is the BBT and that’s it. Not even your fertile window unless you pay extra? Really? The single one other thing it’s good for, sleep data, you can’t even access without paying premium. It’s disappointing to feel taken advantage of as a paying customer. They would make more and smarter business by making people happy, not frustrated, in my opinion. So every morning I sync it and go enter my BBT -and a huge list of other symptoms and data- to my awesome fertility app Ovia, which gives me charts, fertility window, and even advice and insight which I honestly look forward to in my journey of TTC.
Tech 4/5 app 2/5
This version as of 5/15 is absolutely awful. Tons of bugs - the app crashes, does load half the pages, and gave me a hard time when trying to sync first thing in the morning. Overall: As other wearable options continue to advance their capabilities and technology, I’ve become a bit frustrated with my TempDrop. For the price, it seems like the app interface should be A LOT better. I use Flo and TempDrop to track my cycle, as part of a hormone-free birth control system. The device itself is great, the fact that it’s primary focus is on cycle tracking (as opposed to a million other things) is the only reason I haven’t switched products, because the sleep tracking is remedial, at best. The app also has the most clunky interface I have ever seen. As other users have mentioned, it’s got a terrible layout when it comes to an overview that shows temperature/cycle phase/symptoms. As a natter of fact, my cycle phase never updates. For the price of this device and the premium subscription, I will be considering technology like oura ring or whoop when the cycle tracking portion is prioritized. It’s only a matter of time.
Pregnant first try using temp drop
I started using temp drop when I got married. Successfully avoided pregnancy for 18 months using only temp drop to be careful during the fertile window. When we decided to try to get pregnant, we only had to try one cycle to get pregnant.
Only measures up to tenths place after update!
The whole point of this device is to track BBT to the hundredths place. After the most recent update, it changed to only the tenths place including all past readings. Please fix it or everyone might as well take BBT manually.
Great concept
The TempDrop device is a great concept and way easier that oral BBT tracking. The app can be a bit glitchy.
Meh
I bought the premium subscription hoping for better insights on my fertility, but don’t think it worth it at all. My predictions come after and seem useless at that point. I like that it tracks my sleep. 🤷🏻♀️
Subscription
The three stars are for the app, not the device. The device works perfectly, and the app syncs well each morning. Highly recommend. I just find it frustrating that I paid so much for the device and still have to pay a yearly subscription to see the calendar or sleep cycle features. I get that fertility insights would be a bonus paid feature, but I guess I was hoping for more of a Fitbit interface, you buy the device once and get your basic data free everyday (sleep, temperature).
Review for device itself
5 stars for the tempdrop device itself. I have owned it for 3.5-4 years now and it’s still one of the best tech purchases I have made that has actually made my life easier! Tech always promises to help us but I’m usually just fighting it but tempdrop has made it near effortless to get accurate charting temps every single day. As I used the device long before they had an app I can’t rate the app, I use an external app as that is what I’ve come to know and love over the years.
Price increase
The cost of the app went up to an outrageous amount of $48 a year. The app is very basic and I don’t feel that this is fair or worth it. The only plus was the sleep score and the automatic countdown after ovulation. I have cancelled it.
Great for BBT, not much else
The device itself is worth it for me. Not having to mess around with an oral thermometer first thing when I wake up and getting good data despite a weird sleep schedule is priceless. I also like that it isn’t emitting Bluetooth all night, just when I sync it. However, I’ve only had it a month and I just got a replace battery notice. I’m assuming this is a one time glitch but if the new battery doesn’t last the promised 6+ months I’ll be changing my review. If you’re hoping to chart anything more than BBT and cervical fluid in app you will be disappointed. Between the very limited options and the cluttered way it’s displayed below the graph, the symptom tracking is basically unusable. There are also too many pop ups prompting me to upgrade. I saw some negative reviews about the app not predicting your cycle phases and fertile days but in my view that is a plus. I specifically chose tempdrop because I would rather read my own chart than trust an algorithm to do it. If you don’t understand how to do it yourself you shouldn’t be using a sympto-thermal method of birth control.
I don’t understand the positive reviews
BBT doesn’t have huge shifts, yet the graph Tempdrop uses to chart temps is several degrees so my ovulation drop looks like nothing. The ovulation prediction is useless. My cycle is 97% 26-27 days yet this app is saying I’m in follicular phase still on day 15 and totally missed my ovulation dip and subsequent BBT rise. If you get the device—use it so you can sleep in and still get your BBT and type your data in another app. Although, with how awful the app and chart are, I do have concerns the background algorithm for the device that is supposed to give me a consistent BBT so I can sleep in and no hit snooze is incorrect too??
Keeps blocking calendar until “restored”
I’m switching to a different app as my main tool. I thought subscribing would make tracking easier, but now every time I open the app it blocks my calendar despite having an active premium subscription. It makes me “restore” my purchase each time to function properly. I bought the expensive tracker, paying for a buggy app is not cutting it for me.
Best purchase ever.
I’ve been using this for 3 years and it’s been amazing. Fantastic customer service, the owner was emailing us along the way when they were developing a new system for it. Great warranty, and haven’t had any issues in the 3 years I have been using it. Highly recommend!!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
The second you open the box the company will refuse to give you a refund. This is an overpriced thermometer that they claim as a “medical device” in order to reject any refunds. Also look up where the company is from… most people would NOT want to support them. ❌
Great device
The device is fantastic, no questions asked as well as customer service. I use a 3rd party app for charting but from what I’m seeing myself, it’s a good app. It runs smoothly and has many features. I just already paid for an app so I can’t comment on the premium subscription.
Terrible new charting
Doesn’t take into consideration women with irregular cycles that last more than 35 days. Too fussy to sync with device (actually was easier with the older version of the app that displayed the temp in giant numbers on screen afterwards and with a big button to sync). It also immediately gives the status that it’s syncing when it’s not (there used to be a “searching” status) and it takes more attempts to connect in comparison to the old app. I like TempDrop device itself and don’t want to worry about temping orally at the exact same time everyday, but I still wouldn’t use this app for charting. New app is terrible.
Good device, app could be better
Great device, easy to wear, makes temping so much more attainable. Best wearable device I could find. However… the app itself is limited, very few symptom options or customizations. I use the temperature data collected and enter it into a different app that is much better for charting. And another really big detail- you must have internet reception in order to download/see your nightly temp, because it is run through an algorithm it has to have internet in order to be useful- there is no readout of the temp anywhere on the device. Thus if you spend nights out of cell service, do not expect to know your temp those days and plan accordingly. I am also surprised at the price of the device itself and the fact that you must pay for the app. It seems like the app should come with the purchase price of the device. All in all, a great product, yet they pretty much have the monopoly.
