Total brain totally drains your battery
Especially when using the meditation or ambient music or nature sounds portions of the app. If you leave the phone with the app on, it severely degraded my iPhone battery from 98% to 86%
Almost perfect, but…
The google play/samsung version of the app doesn’t play audible beats at all at varying frequencies when I’m listening to relaxing music/sounds on the app. It only works on the iPhone. When I move the beat slider from none to default to max, I can definitely hear a very brain massaging beat/tone/frequency on the iphone app, but not on my samsung version of the app. I have the galaxy z fold. Please fix/update and it will def be 5 stars! Ty!
Stopped working
Good app until it stopped working after a week. Goes down to a black scale screen and hangs.
The program Is good…
It’s frustrating sometimes when I am not as good in some of the exercises that I think I can be. I have big difficulty with the emotional regulation. I get discouraged, I won’t be sny better if I. Try I guess

It was a good app to relax on
Not correct for me
I have cognitive issues after covid. After taking the test, it said i cant recognize facial expressions. I couldn’t recognize them because i have 1 eye that drifts slowly. So as the faces were spinning around I almost threw up on my phone. Im tired of being gas lit by doctors, now they have an app to misdiagnosis and gas light for them.
Enjoyable games, less for the meditation
I like most of the games, but I greatly prefer other guided meditations
Landscape missing
Please add support for landscape, this is a deal breaker as due to an injury my iPad is usually in that view mode and it’s difficult to adjust.
Battery Draining
I downloaded this app and my battery was at 89%. Using the app for only 30 minutes, I was down to 18% and my phone was extremely hot. The app is good to help with well-being and I enjoy it, but I may have to resort to using the website on my computer instead of using the app.

Good Support
Updated Review: I had a login issue between the app and the desktop versions. I submitted a 1 star review (which most companies just ignore) and support actually contacted me! 😮 We setup a Zoom call and had the issue resolved in 15 min! First time this has EVER happened where a company actually responds and fixes it. Keep up the good support! 👍
App is crashing
The app is crashing when you go to the brain games and choose Think Balance or any think categorised games.This started happening after the new update came in.
A few shortcomings
This could be a good exercise for brain training, except for rather poor quality in some levels. For example, the “pop the positive word bubbles” exercise requires far better vision than mine—the font used is extremely narrow and the type seems gray—so instead of testing your ability to find positive words, it just tests how sharp your vision is. Not brain training at all there. A other exercise requiring you to trace a path of dots actually doesn’t test your memory of the path as much as how tiny your fingers are... the app’s tracking is slightly inaccurate. Kind of sad how a well-meaning attempt can be ruined.
Great wellness program
I liked the structure and many options I can choose from. The meditations and the ‘games’ are very helpful.
Can’t use app unless referred?
From the FAQ section of the website, it says that the app is available for “personal use”. As mine was just deactivated after 7 days, and Support says it’s only for referred patients or through an organization, it seems that is not the case. Misleading. “ How much does it cost? How do I pay? Whether you register as a personal user , patient, or sign up for an account through your organization, Total Brain comes at no cost to you. What I’ve seen, I really like.
I liked the baseline assessment and am looking forward to advancing in the program. I’m not sure there are clear cut instructions on what the next steps to take are.

Easy and Effective
I have found total brain to be an easy and effective tool to both learn about myself as well as reinforce new habits and ways of thinking. I would recommend this app to anyone who is looking to increase their quality of life, work performance, exercise performance, relationships, etc…

So many wonderfully designed resources to help better manage my anxieties and mental health. Big fan of the neurotunes audio tool such a blissful way to unwind and refocus. Give all the sections a chance and hopefully you’ll see positive results and a calmer mind like me.
Unethical healthcare partnerships
This app partners with companies to tie real life money to cover healthcare bills to playing their dumb mini games once a day. This practice is just gross. Why do I need to play 2005 phone minigames every day just to be able to cover my medical bills?

When i open the app or login via my login&password, i get error 403. This is how it "works" for a year or more. No feedback from support.

Initial assessment is just a blank white screen. Rebooting my phone didn’t help.
Stress Free? Enjoying the process....
Found this through research and like the fact that it’s data based. The assessment portion of the app really clarified areas of strength and weakness. I’m enjoying the meditations, articles, breathing and other exercises (games) . The key to any stress reduction is to practice. Having all these exercises in one place is very convenient!

Great Workplace Companion
I’ve been using the app daily for about a month now. I love the NeuroTunes and often listen throughout my workday for better focus and stress relief. Highly recommend.
Beware.....
If you are using this app to revive credit for a corporate health completion, stay away if you can and use an alternative option. This app takes FOREVER to hit your target. I called concerned that I was hours into this and didn’t meet my goal. I was assured by the Total Brain staff that I had met my target, it just takes 30 days to post, but that was a lie. Now I’m past the due date and missed my opportunity. They were able to locate the recording of an associate telling me about this process but they still wouldn’t offer me credit. Because of misinformation, I’m out $300. Plus all the time I wasted playing around with this terribly developed application. You won’t get anymore of my time and I am filing a complaint with my company.
