Amazing nostalgic app!
I started as a wet photographer years ago and remember the excitement that first time I processed my own film and then that first black & white photo appeared in the development tray. Nothing, NOTHING is quite as rich as B&W photography and this app replicates that in the digital world almost perfectly.

Grammar, typos, and spelling
The app is great so far but you should definitely go back and fix some of those simple grammatical mistakes. I’m 16 and even i wouldn’t have made those if i tried.
Difficult to use.
Tutorials are very limited; no step by step guidance; contacted developer, who provided no clarification. I was very intrigued when I saw the app’s sample photos, but the unwieldiness of the app yielded nothing but frustration.
Please update the app
On 14 pro max when you open view finder it’s upside down. Very buggy

Some issues
Firstly, the contact us option is not working. Every time I am getting a message that there is some problem with my email settings, but that is not the case since I am able to give email feedbacks to other apps through their contact us option. Secondly when images are exported all metadata is removed. It will be helpful if the user can define whether to include or exclude metadata. Thanks
Darkroom memories
Lov the app, bring me back to my bw darkroom days. Works like a real darkrooms. Have not try the cameras yet but I will give it a try.

I’m finding this app refreshing. It is beautifully done in B&W and brings the reader into the timeless darkroom. Tying today’s digital photography to the timeless darkroom and does in in B&W. I just started using this app. I think it’s a very unique app in the way it approaches some of the basic and important rules of photography. I have only browsed the other topics so I can’t yet give my opinion. If the app allows, I will give my review of the remaining topics as I finish them. I can’t put this app away:)

I have purchased the full features for the app on my iPhone and it shows up as purchased on the App Store but when I try to use the paid features on my iPad it asks me to buy it again, could the devs please explain how to get the full features on my iPad without having to pay for it again, thanks.

App of the day, promoted in App Store on 27 Feb 2022. Then you realise this app was updated a year ago. What is Apple pushing to its customers?
UI not intuitive but has potential
I’ve spent some time in a dark room and that side of this app is accurate and powerful. The user interface is complicated and not intuitive, with some adjustments I think users could get more out of the app. I downloaded this for a 2nd time to try and add film effects to photos I already took on my phone, sadly I couldn’t find how to add borders to existing images, only those taken through the different cameras in app.
Dakr purchased on iPad
Hi… great app! I bought Dakr while working on my iPad, but when I load the app to use it on my iPhone, it is not showing the app as already purchased??

Can we please fix this crashing problem I work for a long time on photos and almost always this thing closes on me before I can save my project and have to start over. PLEASE I paid for this app for a reason not to not be able to use it.

Hello, I had bought this app recently, when I use the large format camera to take photos it is automatically set as up side down. Pls suggest

Darkr is good app. I loved it, but for me darkr is hard to understand how to create beautiful potraits with it? What is base time? I know about guide in app but I'm not able to understand it. It would be great help if you make video tutorials about how users can use this app and how we can get better results of images.
Freezes and crashes
I haven’t used this app in a while, but used to really enjoy it. I came back to it today only to find it freezing and becomes unresponsive often when trying to select a photo from my camera roll.
Interesting, but dodge and burn have issues
I love that this app really does bring us back into the darkroom. However, when doing detailed work with dodge and burn, every time I use two fingers to enlarge the image, the mask disappears. Hope it’s fixed in the next upgrade!

There is no chance to test it, try it or play with it without paying full price. It might be an excellent tool but I do not support the false advertising used in the App Store to entice me to download it. There are plenty of terrific apps out there- and if I can’t trust you to promote your tech honestly why would I trust you with my images?
Move negatives?
I LOVE this app overall. Rekindling my love for photo. But... is there a way to move negatives from one device to another? If so, I haven’t figured it out yet. 5 stars easily if there’s a way to do that. I’d like to take the pics with my phone and do the darkroom work on iPad Pro...

不能叫一个学习软件 只能叫一个模拟软件 笨拙的将暗房里的一些步骤搬到了手机屏幕上 但除非你是将原来120的底片扫描之后搬到了手机上 不然我看不出这个暗房有什么意义 苹果的相机还远不能达到大部分照片所需要的效果 但模拟还是挺像的
Confused and fiddly controls
I like the idea but firstly it was advised for 0.99p to unlock all features, but then charged £1.99 And then I don’t think the instructions are clear enough, I don’t understand how to use it properly after a long play with the app (and I’m an engineer)
My favorite way to convert to black and white
This is a fun app. You learn about real dark room techniques and convert digital images to black and white at the same time, and the results are excellent! Two things I would like to see improved: the different film selections don’t seem to make any difference in the images, and the UI elements are very small and hard to read.

This app doesn’t justify the price cos apart from using some old techniques to turn your photos to b/w it really doesn’t add much value. Today’s free apps like Snapseed offer much of the same effects for free. The biggest missing part is selfie camera. If it’s there, it’s totally non intuitive to find it. What’s the point if you can’t take selfie portraits in b/w?

Okay, let me see if I’ve got this straight. The only lens that can be used with the free version is the pocket camera with a viewfinder roughly 3/8” x 1/5”, which can’t be enlarged. Everything else is an in-app purchase with no way to try it out ahead of time. That’s an easy decision. Delete!
Be handy in dark room if...
This could save time and money on paper in the real darkroom if..you could stop your enlarger lens down before choosing filter and strip time, and paper size on the app. Otherwise good app.
Not very intuitive
Sounds great but it takes too long to get to grips with what it does.
Glorified conversion to grayscale
The app doesn’t seem to be able to do anything you couldn’t do with GIMP by turning the image into grayscale and then using the histogram to adjust colour levels. Don’t see the point.
