Needed a new weather app. Stumbled across this. Beautiful app. Love how you can customize the app UI. Would love to see widgets in a future update for sure!
Problem
This app keeps using an incorrect location (location tracking turned on). I’ve even deleted that town from my search to see if that would help the app locate me more accurately: no joy.

Serves its general purpose, but could be just more advanced.
Now, don’t get me wrong: this app is amazing. I don’t even recall an app like this that tells you what to wear for the day, especially not in such a witty way as this. I’ve used to for what to wear, of course, but I’ve also used to to determine which kind of armor I should wear (Survivalcraft style) as well as any extras that might be crucial in a more extreme situation, such as a diving suit, or a dust mask, or anything for life-or-death situations, such as a gas mask or fire suit. That being said, though, the app only earns a good rating because it could utilize a whole lot more than just the basics. For example, it could warn me about severe weather and abstain from telling you what to wear during the emergency. Another feature it could have is more options for clothing items, such as for wind and UV index, as well as more options for specific layers of clothing such as outer upper body, or even better, the user can create their own layers each with their own recommendation conditions. There’s so much potential with such an old app. Overall, nice app to have, but there should be an option for those dedicated meteorologists and weather fanatics to have more specific clothing recommendations for more specific weather conditions. Plus, it once has a crash with the Feels Like setting, which normally I’d say that they probably didn’t catch that during testing, but given how it could’ve bricked my app for good, and how easily it should’ve been noticed, that’s another reason why it only earns 3 stars.
Notifications don’t work
I wanted to receive notifications through the free trial, but I never received any. I even tried to purchase notifications, but nothing happened. The app still works, but I don’t think the notifications do.
Notifications aren't working :(
Unfortunately the notifications aren't working for me. I tried to reinstall the app and the same thing. Maybe add a 'test notifications' feature! The app is fantastic. I love being able to customize the temperature to your own clothing (gloves, shorts etc.). The layout is simple and easy to use. Lots of my friends I have recommended the app to have also said great things. Keep up the great work.
Bug or glitch and does not make sense
It tells me it’s going to be 91° and clear skies then when I read the mini paragraph they have, it says bring some shades the forecast is cloudy how is weather conditions clear but it’s says cloudy also and I check the hourly and there’s no cloudy conditions in site for the whole day. Also why am I wearing shades if it says it’s going to be cloudy (anyone it’s not right I’m just proving how it’s not making any sense)
Unresolved Issue, no longer using app
i love the simplicity of the design and how personable it makes forecasting, though I’ve chosen to discontinue using this app. When I upgraded to 12 Pro, timed notifications stopped coming in on the home screen and I haven’t been able to get them back. I even reached out to the developers and I received no response :( it’s a shame because this app really is great

The app looks great, but the forecast is always wrong and no option for 24h time is annoying.
Buggy
It works most of the time, but it’s buggy. There are basic bugs that 2 minutes of testing would have caught. Today it told me to wear sneakers, flip flops, and a t-shirt. Sneakers AND flip flops? How do I do that? No pants/shorts? I can refresh it and get something like this (with two from footwear and no pants) about 1/6 of the time. Before this update, it was creating sentences that were half complete. I’m an app developer myself, so I know the importance of testing. Do yourself a favour and check your version thoroughly before releasing it. You obviously have no QA team, so it’s on you to do the testing. Don’t rush it. You should have a list of specific test cases that you check every time.
I love this app
As someone who has struggles knowing what to wear with the weather and asks other people constantly, this app has helped me gain independence. Thank you!
Scam
Every cold day it tells me to wear shorts and shirt. Seriously! Who wears shorts and shirt at 60? Prophecy isn’t your game, don’t quit your night job. Always tells me the opposite of what I need to wear. So guess in a way it works, if I don’t listen to it. Nice try but learn weather and basic logic before writing algorithms.
Suggestion
I think there should be a separate category for outerwear. The app telling me to wear a long-sleeved shirt and also pack a t-shirt isn't particularly helpful. That's my only complaint though, the app is super helpful otherwise.
Not accurate
It’s a nice and refreshing way to dish up your daily weather but it needs more accuracy in terms of rain forecasting. It’s powered by Dark Sky who app shows it’s hammering down, which it is! No watch complication, so that makes it seem very dated I don’t want to get my phone out, to check the weather. One purpose of the Apple Watch is reduce phone time! So this app is a great concept but poorly executed. Also the remarks in the forecast are so rubbish!!

Good idea
Great app overall. I love the design and playful descriptions, but I’ve experienced a few issues. I haven’t received any notifications like it said, and also the widget doesn’t display the same information as when I open the app (widget says shorts, app says pants). Super useful though.
Drippy
Could be such a good idea if it wasn’t so poorly implemented. Notifications don’t work and if you set two different items of outer clothing for the same weather range (e.g. jacket and lightweight mac for all right to cool) every forecast it gives you refers to this. Tedious, unhelpful and very unsophisticated. Last, but certainly not least, its forecasts are often just one word e.g. “cloudy”, which is next to no help at all. Needs to be much more informative to be a useful predictor of what to wear. So, in conclusion: great idea, great name, good-looking app but absolutely hopeless functionality. A shame.
The app is great but there are some issues
I love this app I check it every morning and it really helps me get to where I need to be on time. However i do have one issue. When I create new clothes or add clothes from the suggestion box it sometimes recommends that I wear jeans and a tee but also pack my dress? I think more categories are needed to clarify that long sleeve shirts and dresses are not outer garments and vice versa. After that change, this app would be 5 stars.

Lots of fails
My personal forecast for today reads as follows (all typos are Brella’s, not mine): Good afternoon, [my name]! You might want to bringing an umbrellaAs they say, you’re keen as a peach! Ponder fruity phrases wearing yourYou should wear your jeans and t-shirt, plus take your sweatshirt. The forecast is rain throughout the day. =-=-= And then when I go into the menu and tap “Send feedback”, a grey bar appears near the top of my screen and the rest of the screen dims a little, and that’s the sum total of the result of my tapping “Send feedback”. I’m thinking maybe this app can’t handle the iPhone XS Max, and/or said phone being set to increase font size somewhat. There’s definitely *something* in my setup that it can’t handle... Also, once you choose a cutesy-ness level during initial setup, you’re stuck with it: there’s no way to change it in the settings. Aaand I keep finding *more* things wrong. Through deleting and reinstalling the app several times so I could change that setting that’s only available during the initial setup, I have discovered that it’s not changeable even then: choosing the most straightforward and non-cutesy setting has no effect. Your forecasts will still be full of meaningless fluff phrases (the developers call this “personality”). Oh...and I just noticed Brella uses Dark Sky for its weather, which in my experience is not as accurate as Accuweather. I think this is just not a weather app for me.
Weather aspect good but ...
Notifications are fun and weather predictions are good so far but if I was to wear what is suggested I would look very silly... and right now it’s 12 o’clock at night and it’s telling me to wear suncream 😂
Best idea doesn’t work
Nice idea, but the morning notification is wrong. Both days it said its highs of 28 degrees, but when you click thought to the app is says 11 degrees. The feature I liked the most doesn’t work.

Not great
I want to like this app. I really do. The problem is that for the last 2 days the morning notification has said it was 85 outside. Yesterday it was actually about 30 and today it said the same when it was 5 degrees outside. At first I though maybe I didn’t finish setting it up. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case either. No sense in having a weather app that gives REALLY BAD advice.

Good idea but the app doesn’t know that you can’t wear jeans with tights and there’s no way of turning off the jokes which made it hard for me to understand the forecast
Idea is great but the app no so yet!
Unfortunately i found this app not as accurate as the basic wheather app in the mobile. The clothes that are suggested are almost always the same, in the end it gets boring. The idea and the interface are really nice, i hope they would improve the app and make everything great!

I'm getting messages every morning that start off, "Good evening..." Clearly the coder forgot to tie in a call to the phone's time setting.

9 degrees off!
I have been using this app for a while without ever comparing it to anything (stupidity on my part I guess) when today, I mentioned to someone that it didn’t feel like 90 degrees today at ALL. They replied with, “uh because it’s 81 degrees”. Sure enough, I checked multiple other sites and it was 81. Proceeded to compare hourly temps and Brella was consistently 100% off. Deleting this app and getting another.
Notifications
It’s sending notifications every few minutes. This just started today. (The annoying part is that it’s 9 PM. And I AM wearing shorts, Brella.) Otherwise everything is great. Found the first hidden umbrella too! Don’t know what it means but still.
Cool app but
like the app did the job and everything it was meant too. only down side it gave my a notification every 6 min!! slightly annoying.

“Bring your shades it’s going to be cloudy all day”? Sorry, it’s Texas...100 degrees +...not a cloud in sight. I’ll stick with an app that can accurately forecast the weather.

great app! but even though it’s +26 celsius outside it tells me to wear my jeans, winter coat and gloves. besides this it’s awesome! (it is updated)

It's definitely put together well. It needs work on becoming more professional but I know you guys are getting there. There's a glitch though - it says I've got nothing in my closet when I do.
