Gin Rummy Dark
I enjoyed the game before the update but now the game is frozen and won’t open. Looks like it created a bug instead of getting rid of them! The new version is now not separating my runs or books from the rest of the cards and all my card values stay in the deadwood. If my opponent has less “deadwood point than I do and he/she gets the win even though I should have zero points in my deadwood file. It’s very frustrating!
Last update
Since the last update, the computer fails to recognize rummy’s. It will discard the wrong card when it does recognize a rummy. Example, today I had a big rummy but it discarded the card that would have made the big rummy. Further update, I discovered that the problem is when you have the sort on custom. It doesn’t recognize gins and there is no button for you to do it manually Update..now when I win a game it says I lost.
Error in play
Occasionally, the app does not see a play available in the hand and there’s no way to identify it while playing. I had a Gin, but it wouldn’t separate my queens to allow the straights
Not honest
At times it’s fine, however, at other times it does not play with a full deck. The last game played had 3 cards missing. Think I’ll try to find a more honest game.
Questionable Play
I really loved this game until I noticed several suspicious trends. I had gin and before I could call it, my computer opponent plucked one of my matching cards from my hand and laid it down as if I discarded it. I could not believe my eyes. The computer also seemed to hold certain cards that I needed and we would run out of cards. This happened a lot. Another time, the game ended due to running out of cards. The computer player laid down it’s hand and it had gin but never called It. The game ended and started again. I used to play this game for hours but when my card was taken out of my hand, I had to stop.
Gin rummy
Fun and addictive
So many ads
It’s unplayable with the amount of ads and pop up’s.
Relaxing
I love playing the game. No real issues except 1. Often I close out of a game before it’s completed and then when I sign back in I’m forced to forfeit the game and start a new one. Just frustrating but overall enjoy it.
Too any pop ups
Would be great if the ads didn’t keep popping up at the bottom and driving one crazy
after update
it doesn’t work at all.
Great Game!
Great to be able to play a game without having to watch a 30 second (or more) advertising video in between games. Very refreshing!!!!!
What?
You took a perfectly designed gin rummy game and ruined it with the ads for removing ads! This was THE best gin rummy game in the App Store. I know, because I’ve tried them ALL. when is the constant barrage going to stop so I can play again?
Help
Love this game but after the last update ever game you win to easy. The opponent only has three cards matched and never goes gin. It was always a challenge now something has happened. Thank you
Why can’t you leave well enough alone
Every time you up-date this game you screw ivy up. Up until now I have been enjoying this game now that you’ ve insisted on up-dating it’s so slow I can’t stand it. Fix the speed or put it back the way it was or I’m done & I’ll delete this game.
Fun game
I would play this game a lot if it would stop having glitches. Cards come down and stall out or go completely off the screen. Otherwise, I love playing it.
Excellent gin rummy game
This is my favorite card game to play
New format
I cannot do anything but gin,, it will not let me knock with 10 and under
Needs a back button
Fat fingers and small screen -more than every so often the wrong card discards and there doesn’t seem to be a way to reverse it? Otherwise fun stuff!
Freezes
This was really fun until it freezes on some random ad after a couple hands.
Great game but...
Enjoy the game but since the last update the drawn card hides behind cards in your hand or off screen with no way to discard the drawn card or even know you have drawn. Prior to this issue rating would be a five star but not now. Mustang Officer
Very slow
This new version is very slow and jerky on my iPad. Cannot play it anymore!
Omg too slow
You guys took the speed button away, and now it’s too freakin slow…please but it back
Fun
Fun
Got ads???
Too many adds. Can hardly play the game.
The advertising on the bottom
Can’t stand the banner on the bottom. I will soon delete the game
Gin rummy
Easy, yet challenging. You can pick up the idea of the game quickly, although I did not initially understand that I didn’t want to get stuck with a lot of high cards. The object is to make “books”, either 3 or 4 of a kind, or a run of cards in the same suit. You get involved in leaving yourself open to both options. You can KNOCK if you feel your hand is stronger than your opponent, when you have 10 or fewer points left unmatched. If you are wrong, your opponent gets 25points plus the difference in #!
Very poor unlessEasy is your thing.
If you like a challenge this App is a joke. Playing Hard level, every third hand the AI player wins after 2 Turns. 2 TURNS!! Otherwise it wins 68% of the time. Medium Level is too easy … there’s just no in-between
Awesome
Simple card game, very useful to kill time. The interface is simple and the game is easy to play. Very user friendly. It lags a little bit on my iPad air but great game nonetheless.
Too many ads
There is an ad running after every hand and a constant ad banner at the top.
Too many ads
It was great for awhile and then it just started glitching and going black screen waiting for an ad to load ever other second. I’d have to close app to stop glitching.
what?
i liked this app but had to delete it--virus!
Update is horrible
Ever since it updated to “dark” it’s horrible. Can’t play if you don’t have internet anymore, the ad at the top is very distracting, there is no score. No matter when you click on the score, it’s blank. It’s blank at the end of the game as well. If you rotate your phone & rotate it back, the cards don’t line up.
Time-killer
I found this app by accident and I'm really thankful for that. I've spent all this week playing it.
Ads too intrusive
Good game play but too many ads. One especially having no way out but to close the app. This is fair enough, the developers need payment for their time. I’m happy to pay for a decent game but I’ll try other Gin games first.
Great game!
An interesting game. The interface is user-friendly design, dynamic sound. Very good!
New version is soooo bad
Constantly freezes after several games. Cards drawn disappear from the screen and are inaccessible for discarding. Was very good before new version but now is unusable after several games.
Great
I really love playing this great game of rummy and the ability to play such a polished version on my iPhone is a true treat.
Really?
I barely got it downloaded and 2 deals in when a huge ad overtakes the screen for a free gift card and NO option to refuse! Way to piss off your brand new users right off the bat! Buh-bye
Love this game
Pretty nice app. I love that it has four versions of the Gin game, so you can always play other versions if you are tired of the previos. The app is well designed and have a nice soundtrack.
Review
Cards too small, hands too small
Fantastic
It's the best card game! It has 4 versions to play. My favorite is Oklahoma gin.
Ruined with the last update!
It now requires the Internet to play. This is ridiculous. I often play it where the Internet is not available. Now I have to find a new gin rummy game.
