Best app ever!!!
Purchase not honoured
I purchased full access to Jolly Phonics in November 2022. I have the invoice saved in app purchases. I used the app for many months without issue. However, recently, when I’ve attempted to sign in, the app has no record of my details. The app has no record of the transaction and I’m prompted to pay again. I’ve emailed the Jolly Phonics developers directly about this and the failure of the app to recognise my login details. I have yet to receive a response several weeks later.

Awful app, I googled to see if it’s compatible with iOS 12 and it says yes. Yet the app won’t open on an iPad that’s iOS 12.5.7. Was recommended this by my child’s school and can’t even use it!,

On signing up, it does not give option for parent. Instead it has only guardian, tutor or other.

Really enjoyed using this app. Especially with my nursery school leavers. Lots of complaints about software issues on these reviews.. However I never had any? I hope this doesn’t start happening. Would like to purchase the whole app but at £9 not sure it is really worth that much. Maybe £4-£5 tops.
Money?!
It has good features it has the phonics sounds, stories,actions,songs,pronoucations, tests, flashcards and so on. The only Top 1 problem is that we only have a few letters that we can use and learn, for the rest you need the premium verison of the app, which I do not recommend. Anyway, you can teach your child through real world experience, so I DO NOT RECOMMEND buying the app.

Multi sensory
Covers all 42 sounds in a multi sensory way: writing, reading stories, signing, singing, playing games and more. It’s awesome, couldn’t recommend enough. Lots of Jolly phonics products available on Amazon too, like Flashcards and colouring books.
Doesn’t work after buying full version
I wish I read reviews before buying - the situation is the same as for other people. I’ve bought the full version and after some time I can’t log in. Account doesn’t exist and that’s all.

Badly designed, lots of bugs and freezes
Cannot be used for self-learning — because of bad design decisions, requires adult tutor to tap buttons, read instructions, and prompt actions. Other apps manage to do all this on their own. Tap targets are awkward even for adults, would need to be much bigger and prominent for small childrem. Lots of times taps do not register or sounds do not sound. Freezes at least once a lesson requiring a restart.

Paid full price and not working!
So after my son enjoyed playing the free version I decided to pay for the full version.. wasn’t cheap either. £10 I think for full version! But because it was helping and my son enjoyed it I thought why not. After a month or so I can’t even get on the app. It opens but then closes down straight away. I’ve updated it and my iPad but not working. £10 I won’t see again. Don’t bother paying full price because it won’t work!, feel scammed
Reduced content taking advantage of COVID!!!
I have had this app for 4 years and there was some sort of update a couple of weeks ago a questionnaire that promised the app would be better but the content has significantly reduced since and they now want €10.99 for the pro version when I had paid years ago for extra content etc! I previously had access to all sounds, songs, tricky words etc...now it’s all disappeared. Total scam, preying on parents especially in midst of school closures and children struggling to catch up on all of the missed months later year!
Great app but stops working to often
We love this app but the sound drops out or the screen freezes often when tracing letters which causes my ASD son to throw the iPad and get really frustrated. £8.99 is a lot of money for an app to have issues like this. Same thing happens when using iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 as we wanted to make sure it wasn’t just the iPad causing it

I had already bought this app and paid 2 years ago in different phone. But since i have changed my phone from past 1 year, this app is not showing all the content every time. 90% of the time, this app is asking me to repurchase to unlock all the content and also not allowing me to restore my purchase. please help. i am in love with this app. my child learns phonics through this and playing games here is very much liked by him. please solve this issue asap.
No help centre or no provision to create ticket

Sound problem
Good when it works but half the time the sound doesn’t work which is an essential part of the games! Disappointing.
The sound suddenly stops working
While my daughter absolutely loves jolly phonics because of school, this app has a lot of glitches when it comes to the functions. The audio sound only plays for a minute and then stops confusing my daughter on what is going on or what she needs to do next.
Wrong words for y/ie/ sounds
Dear developers there are wrong words for y/ie/ sound. There should be words like my, by, sky, fly etc. instead of words of y/ee / sound like mummy, sunny, funny

If the school follows jolly phonics this one is the ideal app for your child. Child friendly and easy to grasp. I have got some books from amazon from jolly phonics they are goo too
Does not work with family sharing
Brought this app on my iPhone thinking my daughter would be able to access the additional paid for part on her iPad via family sharing, nope, doesn’t work. Googled this and I think it is down to the development of the app as to weather this function can work or not. Contacted support, after going through the obvious steps they said they would pass to their dev team to investigate, a month later no response so I asked for a refund, got told I had to contact apple but the purchase doesn’t show up in the short list of recent apps that I had purchased, maybe that month of waiting was tactical? So, for my daughter to learn phonics, I’ve had to pay for the app again! £20 I have paid for this app! I’m sure there are better ones out there but this is what my daughter uses at school and is most familiar with. Be careful on how you intend to use this app.

Excellent app for beginners
It’s an easy and fun way to teach the kids their alphabet sounds before they start school. My 5 year old has been using it since 2+ and was better at reading and recognising letters than most of his mates when he started school. I am now using it with my other little one who is also nearly 3.
Intermittent sound
Half the sounds don’t play which is kind of the whole point of the app…..?!
Great overall
This is a great app overall. I was very upset with the fact that the print letter portion of the app had a lot of precursive letters instead of print (th and oo, for example). Therefore I can’t use it on the screen for my students. It needs to be fixed. The app itself was great.
Have to repay?!
So cross! I paid for the full access 2 years ago for my oldest son, now it’s come to use it with my youngest and I’m being asked to pay for full access again, I can only assume this is because I’ve swapped phones. Rip off!
What’s the difference between jolly adventure and unlocking all in jolly phonics lessons apo
Jolly phonics lessons app ask for 899 for unlocking all features Jolly adventure app shows 499. What’s is the difference
Upgrades seems to have broken games and more
I may be missing something, haven’t used the app for some time, but now using again with my second son. Seems the finger tracing doesn’t quite work, the arrow gets stuck towards to the of the letter, and then becomes unresponsive. Additionally the games don’t recognise finger presses all the time. Given 2 stars as we did used to love this app when it worked with ease needed by a young child.
Was good now no customer service and fails to work
App was good however it now says account is signed into and won’t let it work. They also fail to return emails from the customer service and restore purchase doesn’t work. Would really appreciate an email or reply.
Need to change "a" on flashcards
Need to change the "a" in flashcards to one the children recognise. Excellent app otherwise
Used to be free
The whole content of this app used to be free when I first used it. It is what the schools mainly use to teach phonics I just think it’s a shame they’re now cashing in so much on it. To go from being free to £10 is madness!
