Great For Product Photography
This has been great to get the product photography that have been doing for my business.
App is dead
App is dead. As mentioned by others this app hasn’t been updated for years now even though the product is still being sold on Amazon. It literally doesn’t work with anything newer than iOS 16. Horrible customer service
Great app
Started using this app and it’s been great. It would even be better if it can us HEIC format on iPhones so it can communicate more information to build 3D models.
Not fit for purpose as a turntable.
As others have mentioned , the hardware and this software are NOT a controllable turn table. The hardware with this software is ONLY an import device to get 360 product photos into their library , to which you then have access. This solution doesn’t allow you to operate the foldio360 without having the foldio360 app open and active 100% of the time. This all photo and video capture is ONLY what can be done with the foldio360 app. You cannot capture with any other app on your smartphone, become the moment you switch away from this foldio360 app, the turntable stops. It needs constant commands from the app to move. So you cannot use your other photo or video or capture apps to image the item rotating on a foldio360 platter. The whole mess is going back to them as a return.
Güncelleme hakkında
Uygulama çok güzel ve kullanışlı ancak yeni iPhone güncellemesinden sonra uygulama çalışmamaya başladı bir an evvel güncellenmesi gerekiyor
It works amazing.
I just wish it can hold more weight
No longer works
Stopped working with iOS17, hasn’t been updated in years. What a shame and tarnish on the name of this company.
Foldio360
Still in the early stages of finding out what this product is capable of . So far it’s been amazing !! I would recommend this for beginners or established Jewellers , in addition to to the many other merchants wishing professional imagery for there products.
Stops working as soon as you exit the app
I purchased this for product videography. First of all it’s annoying that you need an app to operate this, but it is what it is. The biggest problem is that as soon as you exit the app, the turntable stops rotating. So if my phone shuts off because of a timeout it stops rotating. So if I wanna take a photograph while this is rotating it will shut off. So you need a phone that is dedicated just for the turntable and that will not shut off at any time during your shoot. In theory this is a great little product but impracticality that is a huge, huge workflow killer
No Support for 16:9 Aspect Ratio
Having backed Foldio via Kickstarter a few years ago, I have to admit that I haven’t used Foldio360 that much. So I was a little surprised yesterday, to discover that I had to upgrade the app to the Pro version, in order to shoot in higher resolutions. But thankfully it’s reasonably priced. For me, the one big disappointment is the app doesn’t enable me to shoot in a 16:9 aspect ratio at the same time as controlling the turntable. Most video editing apps expect people to export their projects in various formats, using different delivery methods. Although I’m totally happy with I managed to produce yesterday, I’m also frustrated that the source video footage is stuck in a square format. If the option for 16:9 can be added by the developer in a future version of the app, then I’d be a very happy chap!
Great features and quality for this price
I was amazed by the quick set up and results for this product a d the quality of the video and photos. I got the turntable and the extra lights which were well worth the added cost for the versatility of the complete package. Programmable turntable using really easy software interface is great.
Disappointed
No direct control over captured content without total dependency on the web portal. This defeats the purpose of the purchase - to use the content for scientific publications requires easy access to raw files at full resolution
Shadows editing feature request
The pro version of the app needs Shadows management control (just like in iPhone’s photo editing tools), since taking pictures with big items results in a-lot of dark spots. It would also be great to be able to choose from different screen sizes!!!
Very limited.
Was pretty disappointed to discover you can’t take single pics with the Foldio360. The only option is the full 360 rotating photo shoot. The resolution is actually pretty poor unless you PAY for the upgrade. The lighting is also very dull when shooting diamonds.
Radar adjustments are limited and do not save.
This app could be very useful for my business. But I must have reliable image centering technology. The only function is to allow the app to “auto” find the center of the object, which isn’t always accurate. Then after saving, my changes don’t save! I can reopen the file and see that any changes were not saved. I have taken different videos and gotten the same result. I have restarted my phone and the app. It will save all adjustments but not the radar.
Great app - needs some updates
Loving the app and creating 360 videos. I’d like to request a delay feature when recording with an iPhone as well as allowing the volume button/remote button to be used to start the video. When using a tripod the first few seconds of the video are a bit shakey after hitting the record button.
Needs to be updated for iOS 17!
The software has abruptly stopped working with iOS 17, and my fairly expensive turntable is now a very expensive paperweight. I hope the developers can tweak the code to get it running again soon.
Good but need some upgrades
1. No need to add extras on camera tools. But when we transfer to our photos we have to transfer individually. 2. Sometimes when I delete photo or video, i wish there is bin in other words recently deleted file
Not very good
Not very good at first yet worse once I increased my $ subscription to pro. After it facilitated a test of removing the background on a video & photo file, and it looked actually good and easy to use, I purchased it, then immediately the app did not allow that tool to be used on videos. It was then also far too bright - unusable - on the photos and still didn’t remove the background despite it being the same one teated previously in their test option. Looks like only access to a 3D file is via their website so you don’t own the footage you make with this App. I would be interested in the feedback and fix RE these very basic problems.
Decent app questionable product
No serious complaints. Does what it says. The issue is with the product. Every ad picture shows the turntable without the obnoxious power cord coming out the front. Total false advertising. You’re telling me you can’t design a table the doesn’t require the power card come out the front. So no matter how well the app works the product is useless for a professional. Simply do not have the time to frame pics and move the power cord depending on the angle. Not for the pro.
Great product and App
Fantastic product! Everything works as described. Would like a remote start for IOS to prevent jiggling the camera but with a steady hand is still works well.
Background fill doesn’t work
Upgraded to premium version, but the app still won’t remove the background. Button is simply greyed out and nonresponsive. Is this a fake feature of the app?
Exceptional
The Fokdio360 and software are simply awesome. Almost perfect performance instantly without any need for configuration. My image quality is now as good as anything my competitors can manage ... for such a reasonable cost. V impressed.
Concept is great but this app has some catching up to do
Needs an update for iPhone X dimensions, needs focus controls, needs zoom controls, setting up remote DSLR is too complicated
Love it
Makes 360 videos in a snap, love how the app keys out a perfect white background every time.
Finnicky
Will not maintain enough of a connection (on new iPhone, right next to the turn table) to produce a single product video. Constantly stops and starts turning. Per-degree turn functions do not work at all. Other buttons fail to creat a response whatsoever. Just give me a physical control device. Fancy = frustrating.
Give me lenses!!!
Been using this product a long time, pushed it to its limits on weight many times and still works great but please please update the app and let me use the other lens options on my phone! Please!
Very limiting app
Although the app works, it lacks common sense features like the ability to choose the rotation direction when creating vids/gifs.
Works reasonably well, but lacks some important features
No update for a year, so I doubt these will be fixed but here are some suggestions to make this a 5 star app: - allow us to select the aspect ratio - allow us to start spinning then continue spinning when we exit the app. That way we can use our own app to record while spinning.
Great
off the shelf works perfect, just want the same presentation that shows on their home site with pop up image, would also like "play" button
Can’t even sign in on my iPhone
I have bought this application twice. Never had issues. Updated my phone and now I can’t sign in, log in or sign up for that matter. I needed the turn table to work in order to complete my work at a critical time. This is bad and not acceptable. Get that app to work with the latest iOS update on the new iPhones. It works well with my iPad and other devices.
A bit of a learning curve...
It took a few tries before I was happy with the in-app results. I’m still not quite happy with the exposure adjustments. I wish the video capture allowed for landscape ratios.
Poor help documentation and low quality imagery.
360 photos are poor quality. I’m unable to find any way to improve the quality. Most information available is marketing and sales related. Would be nice if they spent more time providing better documentation for users who’ve already invested in their product.
Great app, needs update for iPhone Xs/X
Can not use controls at the top as they are blocked by the notch. Product photos don’t seem to be even near the resolution that the stellar iPhone Xs camera can produce.. why??? Other than that this app is exactly what I needed for 360 product shots. Looking forward to an update. Although not going to hold my breath as this app hasn’t been updated in over a year..
Love this app!
We do a lot of product shots and this app makes our images a million times better. I highly recommend the 360 turntable and app. I do wish it was a little easier to export the photos, but that is the only drawback.
Does not work
Is it typical for this app not to work? If so I think I need to return it and get something else.
좋다
기본적인 부분은 어플자체에서 설정이 가능해 좋습니다만.... 셔터속도 조절도 가능하게 더 세분화가능하면 좋겠 습니다
Good but!!!!
need an appropriate software to edit the images. I have hard time whitening the background without distorting the objects. Struggling with finding editing tools.
Great idea, but...
There’s no easy way to export photos. Which I should’ve investigated before I took 500 images of my products.
Super simple
Makes creating 360 images super simple
Useless
App still can’t export more than one image a time. Completely useless if you can’t use the images you take.
Great app but...
Great app but I need to be able to use the 50mm lens in iPhone X and iPhone + it is better lemme for product photography so that I do not have to crop photo Everytime. Thank you. Also if I can multi select to "quick upload" multiple at one time is great for bulk.
Can't save images to camera roll
They pitch it being yours for your business. Everything to help you... but guess what?! YOU CANT SAVE YOUR OWN PHOTOS. you can only upload them to social medias which turns it into a video and not a 360 photo for ecommerce. Great hardware and packaging, shame they won't let me own my own photographs.
Re:foldio360
The foldio360 is a great idea. I just purchased the iPhone 7 plus last week to use with this item. The app is constantly crashing every 2 minutes. The pictures on the app come out grainy and not crisp and clear with what you would expect. I am actually using the studio and lighting to take regular pictures with my iphone 7 plus. Again great idea but they need to work on the app and improve the resolution of the pictures.
Simple and easy for 360 photography!
It's really useful to make 360 degree images. But you need a turntable called foldio360 to use this app.
Don’t Buy
Terrible! Never worked properly. Reached out to customer service twice with no response. Waste of $!
Easy but buggy
I love the foldio setup. Hardware is great. Super easy setup and intuitive to use. The app however is a bit buggy and crashes often. It's not a deal breaker for me but something they should focus on improving.
Just got this at PDN Expo
I picked this up at the PDN expo in NYC last week cause I was impressed. Though the hardware is nice the app needs serious attention. It has froze on me while editing and it doesn't allow me to do some simple tasks. Now I still bought it cause it has tremendous potential that is unfulfilled at this time. Better cropping for one so I can eliminate some of the sides that I had to include when taking a wider shot. A few more editing tools and definitely needs higher res images.
