Adding new photos
It allowed me to add one photo. It added it twice. It won’t let me add anymore. There are no directions of how to’s showing how to add them.

AWESOME- One recommendation
Your application is incredible! It would be very handy for my business. You are starting to charge for images right as I am starting to understand the AI part of all of it. Furthermore you are charging for something like 200 images? Give an option for unlimited images and I might be interested. It really is a shame. Will probably call it a day.
Glitchy
I like that I can add photos directly from my camera roll to an item, but I can’t scroll past a certain point without it resetting back near the most recent photo. It’s irritating and defeats the purpose.
User friendly
This is such an easy app to use and to upload to the pictures to the inventory.

This photo edited is awful, non of my photos have come out nice.
Great App but
I use this app for creating product photos for my business. It has so many options, but I do want to say that I wish you could rotate the camera in the app bc I want to use a phone tripod and it should rotate for that.
Needs more background options
I initially chose a background to use for my square online store, a month later that background disappeared and I couldn’t continue using the same style of background. The website lost consistency and I will have to redo all the pictures again. I created some items with a background that was only a base without a backdrop and now I cannot reproduce it
Great with some annoyances
Overall, it does a decent job of knocking out backgrounds. When doing lots of product photography; this is a big time saver. The annoying things are: 1 - pausing any music or podcast you’re listening to on the Choose Style page. This is not a sound app, there’s no reason for this to happen. 2 - going back from the Choose Style page starts a new photo. There’s no warning this will happen. It would be nice if you could go back apply or remove the auto styling. Especially since the results frequently change once you get to the Choose Style page.

Terrible AI and worse customer experience
This app does a great job of removing background, but the AI is worse than most AI image tools I’ve seen online. I tried several times, none of the images being what I wanted. Then, to my surprise, the app wanted me to start PAYING for these terrible images despite the fact that I had downloaded ZERO images. Yep, you read that right - this app charges, just to GENERATE the images, whether you use them or not. If the cost of generating AI is that much, maybe we as a society need to let go of this stupid tool…
Awesome for quick upload but needs 2 fixes
This app is awesome for uploading all my items to my store very quickly, but it needs a few fixes. The first one is I need to be able to upload more than one photo at a time for an item I'm selling. If they could figure this out, all my pics would be on there quick. The second is allow a slide bar we can choose to go ahead and make a link to the item, versus using the sell now feature. I tried to use the retail app to load new items too, but there's too many steps there. This app is faster - it just needs a few tweaks - mainly not having to go back and load more photos to the item. If it's there somewhere, I'm missing it & it's not user friendly.
Sq. Studio’s AI you’ll Pay For
Beware it says it’s free to use Sq. Studio but after several uses AI generated backgrounds it requires Paying for a # of pics. And if you pic 1 of 4 of a type of backgrounds that is generates. It counts 4 of the prints of your # of pic you purchase not 1. And not a lot of backgrounds to pic from that are free. Maybe 5

Best App On The Market For AI
Minimal backgrounds to choose from
Compared to another app, not enough backgrounds to choose from for me to switch to this app. If there are more, there are no clear direction on how to find them.
Good app, with problems
The app is fine and makes good pics for the system. Problems: The app randomly logs out. When this happens, attempting to log in again returns errors a number of times before it will suddenly and unexpectedly work once again.
IA photos
I used to like this app. Not anymore the IA photos should be free with a square’s website. Thats insane
Love the app, but it’s Deceptive
We use square for our business and I got hooked on the app right away! It makes removing image backgrounds super easy and helps create great product images. However, it’s deceptive in saying it’s free. After so many images, it will start making you purchase them. As we already pay an arm and a leg for square’s services, we will not be purchasing more software from them, like this photo studio.
Saves time
This app saves me sooo much time editing and trying to figure out what kind of background I want. All I have to do is take a picture of my item in the right lighting and angle and let the app do the rest! Perfect!
Expensive
Such a rip off. Very pricey. There are alternatives, I don’t know why Square is competing to make money from AI image generation from their customers and another commission for every sale… greedy
Love it but..
I love editing my photo and being able to directly add them to my square, but I wish I was able to create an item the same as in the Square app. You are not able to select modifiers or select more than one category.

Quickest for basic editing
This is probably the most simplistic and easy to quickly use app of this type for generating photos for e-commerce. However, the refine background tool is difficult to use in my opinion. It would be nice if you could see what will be erased while you are touching the screen and then actually erase when you release. Or if there was a way to draw a straight line. Similar to the way a line tool works on digital art programs. Its very easy to accidentally erase areas that need to be left and then you have to undo what seems like a million times to finally get the result you want. All things considered, this is the fastest way I’ve found to prep basic photos for selling items online though.
Decent
This app is a love/hate. I love that we have it. But it’s so glitchy and finicky. Square as a whole is glitchy and starting to be more expensive, while getting less and less. Adding retail can be difficult as it doesn’t show the whole name so it’s hard to add pictures to the right product.

Loved using it until the update
I was using this for my at home micro business to advertise my products and absolutely love it but the recent update removed the AI feature I had been loving. Super disappointed as I can’t keep up with the same level of images for advertising my business.

Loved the AI feature, started using it and then it has been taken away. Very disappointing.
Could be better
I like the background remover function and well almost everything about it. Here is my problem…. When I first started using the app I wanted to edit a photo from my camera roll so I used the option in the app and added all the photos I had to this app. And it worked great. Here is where I have run into issues. I took new photos which are just on my iPad in the camera roll (did not use this app to take the pics as I was doing a mass amount of photos and just wanted to get them done quickly so I used the regular iPad camera app). Now I want to edit them in the square photo app but I can’t figure out how to load them into the app. I feel like I’m missing something. App would have more stars if not for this issue.

Ughh
I can’t decide if I love it or hate it! Awesome that you can quickly upload so easily, but every time I get a on a roll damn thing locks up.
Removes too much
I’m an artist and it removes the background in the painting as well as the background behind the painting which makes it useless. Hope you can make it a little smarter in the future.

Helped me to edit photos for my website. Easy to use, many background und options including AI edits.
Needs to be improved!
Certain things like changing colour of background and shadows etc...) needs work as you don’t see the options properly for some and causes confusion. Another aspect that can be improved is having pictured backgrounds as example a table with options to add a plant or the product without the original background so that it looks like a staged product with a editable background like the way Canva allows you to do. Would be nice to have here on square as well.

Seems since the update when you take a photo directly from the app you now only get a blank screen pic. Deleted app and downloaded again, worked for a few hours now doing the same thing.
