Absolute Cinema
This game is truly amazing. One of the best games I’ve played. The story is great, and I love how the game lets you choose a faction. Additionally the ability to capture enemy ships and use them yourself is awesome. The real time events and quests are really neat. Overall this game really captures the pirate life, I would recommend.

I love this a bit too much..
I love the game. This seems like the best thing ever like I like the way I can choose to fast travel to my destination or I can manual do it. Which I like to do it the manual way I love the enemy ships the way they attack. But the least thing that I try my best to do is not by spending too much which I’m terrible at for some reason I have to Grim Reaper even though I have an even completed the task to get it. I think there’s a task to get to that ship… but even weirder every time I killed a ship with the Grim Reaper a number appears beside it every time I change ships I don’t know what it means, but it’s definitely something I don’t know if it’s amount of ships that I’ve killed all the amount of times I’ve played with it either way it’s seems like a cool detail, but I hate the leviathan. I’m just trying to get to a place with a heavily new ship and I keep on getting apartment by Levi’s. I didn’t even know they were in the area and I’m trying my best to do them, but it appears like my dodging steals hasn’t came into you yet since I’m really terrible at dodging and I was really upset like almost lost the boat so I was wondering if you can make the glove I’ve been a bit less OP if you can’t then that’s understandable but geez Jesus Christ, you need to update the map on the first person mode because the maps telling me that you can go on the east side of the map and go to a new area even though there’s no new area on the east side of the map.. so I’m a bit confused if you can update it?

This game constantly crashes now. Please stay away until dev fixes. I bought this year's ago and played it but now it's unplayable.
Review on the newest update (March 2022)
Great game and a good new update but there are some things to fix like the 3rd person perspective. That got worse and I don’t know what happened to the guns, they just don’t work as well as before anymore. That also got worse. But other than that everything else is good. Naval combat got a lot better. One thing though talking about naval combat is when you get a good hit on an enemy ship you can’t use the crystals when the cut scene goes on. But all in all pretty sick game.

In the army, all over the middle east, bought this game to have something to play and turns out it crashes literally within seconds anytime you are not connected to the internet. Don’t buy it.
Good game, bad DLC
I’ve been thoroughly enjoying this game. There’s always something new to do, with many factions and quests, ships to buy, and sea monsters to find. Quality has improved significantly since I started playing years ago. A minor issue: text sometimes disappears before I have a chance to read it, so I could really use a log of some sort. Unfortunately, I believe the DLC is not worth the money in its current form. Land battles are nearly impossible because my captain dies after 2-3 hits. The only possible strategy is a prolonged hit-and-run, which is no fun and still fails if I get shot by an enemy I can’t even see. Many of the new quests (especially Emperor’s Daughter) are blocked by impossible land battles. And the Pirate City just doesn’t really add anything to the rest of the game. Hope the developer will fix these issues, because the core game is a masterpiece.

Amazing game, iOS version is a let down.
I previously bought this game on PC and really enjoyed it, so when I saw it in the App Store I bought it without hesitation. Unfortunately, it's really been dumbed down for iOS. For example, the tutorial storyline is much shorter and the controls have been greatly simplified. Given the nature of mobile gaming, that's understandable, if disappointing. Sadly the same can't be said for the lack of support for either keyboard or mFi controller. There was absolutely no reason for the developers to leave out this functionality and it really hurts gameplay on a larger devices such as the iPad Pro, where this game had the most potential to shine.

Fun Game but it’s ALSO glitchy
I downloaded and played the free version, but I got to a specific part and the app started crashing. I took my chances and paid $7.99 for the “Premium” version and found it to literally have the same issues as the unpaid version AND I had to restart from the beginning. At least in the free version I could watch ads to increase my payout for some missions. But now that I defeated the “Telltale Tongue” and it started giving me messages about a “Ghost Ship” the app has started crashing again. VERY frustrating!!!!! I’m really disappointed that I one wasted my time with the free version, and wasted my money with the paid version, and now find that its wasted my time as well!!! I LOVE this game, but until the bugs are fixed, I’m giving it a 1 star.

Buy the free version then the “full version” DLC, it often gets updates 1-2 months faster making this version feel somewhat ignored

I took a day from the game and I had made significant progress in the game and i went into the game and it had restored one of my earliest saves so if you can get on that issue that would great but for now I’m kinda angry because of this and again I enter the app later and it loads my earliest save

Good Game, Disappointing DLCs
I am tempted to give a lower score, bing currently annoyed by the DLCs, but that would not be fair. It is a very good base game, and. Have gotten hours of enjoyment out of it. Sadly, the DLCs do not really seem very well-thought-out and are not similar to the base game. The land quests are just a bad idea. Melee combat is not very deep, already, and the DLCs add a LOT of melee, land combat. I don’t want to spend 5 minutes running through boring, procedurally generated jungle, doing nothing but running, only to then die in combat with a camp of 20 enemies shooting at me (especially since mobile controls are imprecise and clunky). Why would a pirate captain with a giant battleship full of battle-hardened crew be trying to heroically take out camps of enemies all by himself anyway? If the DLC had added more quests like the lengthy “legend” quests in the main game, a new faction, and basically just a new map with quests comparable to the other maps, it would have been perfect. PS. Also, who thought it was a good idea to make all of the artifacts and high level items you spent hours acquiring easily buyable in the new DLC? After I spend hours following a long chain of missions to get a fancy artifact, I don’t want to roll up into the DLC towns and see it just sitting there, for sale.

以前、iCloudとの連携がうまく取れてない。 と、レビューした者ですが、 試行錯誤してみました。 テンペストアプリを、 ダウンロードし直しただけでは、 ゲーム内のオプション画面の iCloudのマークはグレーのまま。 なので、 端末本体の設定画面から、 Apple ID => iCloudをタップして、 iCloudと連携してるappの一覧から テンペストの連携onからoffに 切り替えて、さらにiCloud Driveも onからoffにする。 iCloud連携しているapp一覧が 消えてから、 もう一度、iCloud Driveをonにする iCloudと連携しているapp一覧が 表示されたら、 テンペストappを探して、 onにする。 あとは、テンペストゲームを起動させて、オプション画面の確認。 グレー表示だったiCloudマークが、 白色に表示が変わってると思います。 これで、アップデートしなければ、 ゲーム進めても問題無さそう。 アップデートさえしなければ。 iCloudにセーブデータが、 残ってるとして、 アップデートしたときに 妙なタイミングで iCloudのセーブデータを上書き してるのでは？ 一応、次回のアップデートまで 少しだけゲームを進めておいて、 放置。 アップデートして、 セーブデータが生き残っていたら ゲームを楽しみます。
Mission progress bug
I love this game,it is very fun to play and pass the time with. It has one big issue though,there is a bug or glitch that makes some missions unable to be completed because they suddenly disappear from world map so I no longer know where I am supposed to go because mission objective is nowhere to be found on map.one example is the emperors daughter mission,right now I am stuck on it,I am supposed to gather info about a fire dragon or serpent but I can’t because there is no mission objective on world map showing me where to go,it’s just gone so I am unable to complete mission.if you could fix this bug or glitch I would be eternally grateful. Updated: I am still stuck on this mission for the same reasons as stated above,please fix this bug.
Great game
I love pirate games and I got this game a few days ago and couldn’t stop playing it. It’s great for mobile and would be great for any other consle to I believe. Mechanics are great, but sometimes when your fighting white or sword if you tap the screen it goes away and I don’t know how to equip it again. It does it randomly. Beside that on e flaw great game!
Cloud Save
I played the free version without any clue that the premium version even existed. I spent hours and hours of progress, bought all the DLC, and explored every port etc etc. So, imagine my surprise when the cloud save option (which SAYS it's already automatically on) DOESNT transfer my save between the two versions. So even though they're basically the EXACT SAME GAME (just the premium with more frequent updates), all my progress basically null, and the DLC I bought doesn't even get restored. There is seemingly no way to get all my progress to the premium version. Tried looking at the cloud save, my gamecenter is logged in, tried clicking the facebook button, tried pressing the restore purchases button. Nothing. Why is the premium version so obscure anyways? When you search tempest it shows you the free version first and hides the premium one all the way down. I bought the premium version days after playing thinking I'd be able to move my progress over and have a better playing experience with fewer bugs. Waste of $7. ************************************* Response to Developer Review: Okay, but why? They are essentially the same game just that the premium version gets more frequent bug updates. I already bought the DLC on the free version, so you're telling me I'd have to buy them AGAIN on the paid version to enjoy them? Why is the premium version buried under the free version? Why would you allow DLC to be purchased on the free version when the premium gets much more attention and you can't transfer progress between the two? The free version gets treated like a demo with the much less frequent bug fixes. Why would you NOT allow progress to be transferred between the two? This just shows me a complete disregard for customer-care. Waste of my money, and waste of my time. It's a shame, too, since I really enjoyed this game. I won't be changing my review until you provide a feasible method of transferring progress, because that makes no sense. The premium version is listed lower, premium version isnt even advertised or mentioned in the free version, purchases between the two are separate, bug updates occur less frequently on the higher-listed free version, transfer progress is unavailable. It's scummy.

This is a great game but can you all make an update where sea monsters attack randomly please, I have played this game for a month now and it is really fun, but I have never seen a boss and I think it would be a really better game if you all could fix that

Love the game but...
I love play the game and I love the new add on to it where you walk on land and stuff... but The lost Provence mission with the princess is IMPOSSIBLE idk if it’s you saying it’s not ready yes or you haven’t completed the rest of the story but you expect me to believe that your character is able to walk into that hoard of pirates with flint locks all aimed at you some how defeat them and bring back the princess. I can’t manage to kill one before I’m dead to possibly 13 other pirates . I highly suggest making it so you can bring your crew on land with you. Without them it’s just impossible Been quite a while Nothing is changing And ya still impossible You need to be really lucky Cmon developers

Crashes after 10 minutes! Unplayable
The game constantly crashes after playing for about 10 minutes. It then starts crashing as soon as the game loads and I’ve tried restarting this about 10 times. I’ve redownloaded the game, updated my phone, restarted multiple times, nothing has worked. I would honestly like my money back for all I’ve purchased.

I know for a fact I’ve had this game in the past and played it a fair amount. I was checking the App Store for new games and this one popped up, but with a $7.99 price tag. Thinking it was a game I haven’t played before, I bought it, and was enjoying it until I realized that I’ve played it before but didnt know how if I just had to pay for it to reinstall. Hey really love the game. I just bought the Pirate City dlc and i have acouple of questions about it. First is which island is mine ive been all over the maps and cannot seem to find it. If you could include like a littlw tag on the map saying your island that would be awesome.

The game is okay, but the mechanics are not always well explained or not explained at all. After trying over a dozen times I still have no idea how to board a ship and win the fight. I enjoy the open world, the lack of being pushed towards in game purchases, and the general game, but there seems to be a lack of "flow" for better words.
DLC trouble
I can’t get past the enemy pirate camp because I keep getting gunned down by pirates with semi automatic pistols. Please fix, I really like this game though.

Definitely feel like this is a “scam likely” type of thing. Got it because I thought my progress and purchases would transfer over but no. Now I’m $9 broker and more disappointed than I was before. No stars cause this is trash.
Great game with one issue
Definitely the best pirate-themed game for the iPad (by a large margin). Picture it as a very polished Sid Meier’s Pirates! but with 25x the missions, stronger graphics, a fantastic score and 100% less redundant ballroom dancing. So why only 4 stars instead of 5? In a word: land. This game has about a half dozen land quest types (they rotate randomly). And its during these quests where the polish is tarnished. A prime example: on a mission to save an Emperor’s daughter, you run to a pirate haven to save her. Often, the haven doesn’t render until you’re in the middle of town where you promptly get blown apart or trapped in geography. Likewise, some trees don’t render and you’ll get stuck on them. Perhaps the most common issue is the camera panning 180 degrees in the opposite direction of a fight because of some object behind you that you’re stuck on. Additionally, your pirate will move a bit oddly through the land missions as if on rails (randomly). If the developers could fix the issues with land quests (giving them the same polish as the vibrant sea battles), this game would be an easy 5 star winner and one of the best games on the iPad.
Not yet ...
With a complicated tutorial, a lack of clarity in the map ... and some annoying UI features, you end up dying a great deal in this game. I've given it a good go today, wanting to love it, but the fact is it still needs more work. Frustrating narrative glitches while you play result in your being pulled out of the story, or missing bits, or seeing the same segments of story repeated over and over. Too much still to be fixed, and the price is far too steep. ATM, find something else to do!
Menus are complicated and confusing
Game looks cool but it's way way too complicated to navigate the menus, selecting quests etc is jus annoying and detracts from the playability of the game.
