Instructions for Body Measurements
It’s pretty neat. Lots of measurements. Wish there was a way to have multiple profiles like yourself, spouse, and children. Video or picture aids would be nice for instructions. (Also, your wrist instructions are wrong. It references the bicep)
NO INSTRUCTIONS
This has the potential to be a great app; however, even simple instructions are missing. How do I convert my info to a pdf and download?
Not Intuitive AT FIRST!! 😊
I received this excellent developer response to a review I left! (The interface was not intuitive to me, but I am an old guy, so don’t let this discourage anyone! Give this app a try! I will give it another try now that I have this gem): "Once you take your photos, the next step is to tap on the measurement you want and follow the instructions to “draw” the measurement on the exact body part you want to measure. You don’t need measuring tape. It’s a few extra steps more than you were expecting, but it’s what makes our app work accurately with every body type. We’ll make sure to update our support site at dressmeasurement.com with proper instructions soon."
How do you export the data? I paid for it.
Is it just me, or is there no way to export the data even though you’ve paid for it?
Lost access to my account after the recent update
The app keeps upgrading but never actually updates, so I do not have access to my account, what can I do?

App changed yesterday (02-20-2023), and now all my customer infor is gone from the past 2-3 years
Tried to access the old icon it disappeared and and brought up the new icon and all of my client info was gone. Have reached out to support and contacted Apple. If I delete the app, I believe that the info will be gone for good. I can not wait for days for a resolution. And I can’t even reach out to my clients as there contact info is there as well.
Did what I needed little expensive for my use case
I just wanted an app to keep track of my measurements instead of using notepad. Worked well and even let me export pdf! I purchased ad removal to support dev. $7 a little high since realistically I have all I needed but for sure couldn't reproduce an app that has visual aid for $7. Would like to export csv for price of ad removal. Not sure I'd use it for much but would like the option for that much money hmm... Can't really give 5 star since it does a lot more and I'm not going to use this features. Maybe that's not fair to the dev but wouldn't be fair to users of those features either hmm. Maybe I'll give 5 and users can read my review as reference to what I give 5 stars for... seems better for devs lol Gave 4 stars since no csv export for $7 haha

Changed iPads and my previous records and measurements are gone.
App Needs More Measurements
This is a wonderful app. Needs additional measurements added in or the ability to add your own measurements... For both models: The measurement for sleeve length isn’t useful... Need the measurement from edge of neck to shoulder, from shoulder to elbow, elbow to wrist, forearm circumference, and from shoulder to wrist on both sides of model. Since both arms aren’t always the same length. Those measurements are crucial when custom tailoring items and will allow you to instantly know what length to make any possible sleeve variation as well as any kind of neckline. I have one client that only wants boatneck 1/2-3/4 sleeve tops. And another one that wants scoop neck princess cut cap sleeve or long sleeve tops. All the aforementioned measurements are required to make those different options. Leg length needs to have measurements for both legs because just like arms both legs aren’t always the same length. I have a client that has one leg 3.5in shorter than the other. Also a measurement for preferred rise would be very useful as well. Many people have a preference where their pants/skirts/shorts etc sit on their waist and also the length of their shirts/tops/sweaters etc Female Model: It would be helpful to have back length measurement as well as butt measurement like on male model, as well as a measurement from bottom of back to top of the thigh. Those are very useful for creating clothes for women who have large bottoms. Male Model: Measurement on front of model from center of neck to belly button would be very useful for creating custom ties.
Good app! One tweak.
I really like using this app to collect all the measurements for my friends and family. It makes it so much easier to surprise them with homemade gifts later, now that I’ve had their measurements in my phone for awhile. If I could change one thing, I would make it so the body in the app changes to reflect the dimensions when the dimensions are added. So that there’s a visual to go with it. I think it would be so cool if I could basically see and picture how the garment I’m imagining would work on my friend without them being there. It would be great for friends with shorter torsos or curvier bodies, or even my tall family members. It would really help me to be able to see if the item I want to create would work with their body type.
Unable to add measurements
Ive just downloaded this app and when I select the coloring and sex it freezes up. I’m unable to save, edit of go on to next screen?
Additional Measurements
13 June 2022: I opened the app today to record a client’s pants measurements and to my surprise many of the bugs and upgrades have been added. This is a nice surprise. I will work with this for about a month to see how it is all piecing together. Thank you for listening. 24 March 2022: Thank you for your response and showing how to add a new avatar to add additional measurements but the icon does not allow me to add the lines to add the measurements. Please advise when this will be fixed. I finally have an app to record all of my clients measurements instead of using paper. I am using this app for my business and it is working well, but I really need to have some additional measurements added to use for the profiles. I have mentioned this in a previous review but I am yet to see it in the app. I must have the crotch length and crotch depth measurements. Is there an opportunity for me to add these measurements to show on the model. I upgraded my membership to Tailor Made and this is an important measurement for any tailor and/or sewist in making pants, slacks, underwear, swimwear etc.
Missing measurements
There are a few missing: seat, for example. Also arm length from shoulder line (not sure what it’s called), etc. The developer should add other measurements used by tailors to make patterns. Only then it will be a useful app.
Nicht ganz durchdacht
Im Prinzip ist die App genau das, wonach ich auf der Suche war. Allerdings wurden die Füße und damit Schuhe/Schuhgrößen vergessen. Zudem wäre eine Kurzanleitung wichtig. Wie man denn genau misst. Hier ist doch das www so uneinig, weshalb ich genau auf diese App gekommen bin. Also im Prinzip gut, doch wurde leider am Ende noch kurz vor der Ziellinie versagt.
My review
I love this app. It saves more measurements then any other app that I’ve seen. Only problem is that none of my saved measurements are ever saved. It defaults each time I open it.

Name of the app
I use the app once every few months and can never remember the name. “DM” isn’t the most intuitive when it comes to remembering the name of the body measurement app. I hope the dev will update what words will pull up the app when searching. “Measurements” would be a good start.
Home sewer
As a home sewer this ap doesn’t really do more for me that what I can do with a notebook ap or excel sheet. What would make it valuable is it the app could make a calculation based on measurement inputs and advise me what size patterns I should buy from given manufacturers for different kinds of pieces. Or if it could suggest alterations to patterns to get a better fit. For instance: buy Vogue pattern XYZ to get best fit for dress bodice, adding 2 inches at waist to achieve better fit.

Just what I was looking for!
I was very happy to be able to support the app with a one-time fee to remove adds. I’ve been using this app for a few years now and it runs much more smoothly since the last update. The easy-to-read diagrams have come in handy many times when I’ve had to explain measurements to non-tailors and it’s been invaluable in helping me keep and update client measurements. Thank you so much for the update and continued support of the app, devs!

Probably awesome if it didn’t crash every 2 minutes
I currently own a fashion design business and this app almost came in handy except that it crashes every two minutes. It’s exceptionally frustrating when I’m trying to record a clients measurements and have to keep getting back into the app. I tired the trial of the premium plus version where you can keep notes but I cancelled it immediately after the app crashed over and over. Could be great but needs worksheets app crashed the same before and after the ios12 update.
So-so
Unable to edit a clients name (or what you have titled a particular profile). You must build an entirely new profile if you want to change a name or title...if they get married, change their name or you have a misspelling etc. Also, no place to record weight.
App needs more and annual price option
I recently downloaded the app again (free version), and still think it’s a great app for basic body measurements. However, it’s still missing several measurements needed for designing gowns, corsets etc. it would be easy to add these along with the others. I was paying the $4.99/month previously, but I really didn’t see enough benefit for that price. I already have a folder in GoodNotes for all of my clients information, including photos and I simply add a screenshot of the measurement screens into their GoodNotes file and add any notes there. That system is paid for with a one time payment and I have a ton of options for my clients information. There’s an open source pattern software that has measurement option, but many many more measurements, but the downfall is I cannot use it on my iPad which takes me back to DM I simply cannot justify the very expensive $4.99/month for just the ability to take notes and photos. Exporting PDF isn’t that big of a deal as I take screenshots. It’s easier and faster anyway. There’s other programs that are much much more in depth that don’t charge this. Look at Procreate just as a software example, a one time super cheap purchase fee and they just did a major free update. There needs to be many more options to justify your charge. And if so, annual needs to be an option
What does this app do?
I can record measurements in my notes. I can’t tell that this app does anything else. I can also convert from inches to cm. Why would I pay $4.99 a month for that?!?! While I like having my measurements, if it does nothing else...?!?!? It’s just as handy to have it in my notes!
Good, Great with small enhancements
Overall, this app is good. To improve, I suggest adding a measurement for crotch, calf, and front and back length measurements for suit blazers.

You forgot
You forgot high bust measurement maybe a note section per person to add additional type written words. Also, I would like to see young kid body types. Great start I like the app.
So close to being a perfect utility app!
Great concept, very convenient to just pick up my phone and have any client’s measurements on hand, I now use it as an ‘ice-breaker’ tool and get new clients to enter the measurements as I take them! This app would be a valuable tool if it were to cover aspects like finger/hand measurements for gloves or rings and foot measurements and shoe size. I’ll anticipate the addition of these options in future updates! A super easy to use, simple to read, to-the-point utility app that is sure to impress :)
Great App for Tracking Body Measurements
I love using this app. It’s easy to use and has a nice, simple design. I use this app to track my body measurements like my waist and bust size to make online shopping easier. Highly recommend this app if you want to save body measurements for future reference.
Instructions
As someone who doesn’t sew, but shops online where measurements are needed I thought this would help me take my measurements. Maybe I misunderstood the description. But if that is one intent of the app, one thing that would really help is INSTRUCTIONS!
Great app- just needs one thing.
I love this app! So convenient and I’ve never seen anything else quite like it. However, I would give it 5 stars if it allowed you to input measurements not listed. For example, the app includes the measurement for neck to bust, but I prefer to take a shoulder to bust measurement. Other than that I think it’s great!
Good app
I would give this app five stars if I could customize the measurements and add notes to each profile! These additions wouldn't be worth signing up for a monthly charge, but I wouldn't mind paying a one time fee for an add on!
Feedback
Love this app…would be even better if it automatically dated each measurement to the date when you entered it. I keep track of my growing kids’ measurements here. I never remember when the last time I measured them was.
Complete scam
It’s a quick advertisement cash grab app. It doesn’t have the ability to take measurements using AR. Nor is it beautiful or user friendly (it’s basically just the iPhone notepad app). There is no user guide. It’s marketing is a complete lie and it’s positive reviews are most likely company employees or paid reviews. Complete waste of storage and bandwidth.
Good but needs instructions
The free version is good but is missing instructions on how to measure the different parts of the body. For example, when measuring around the neck, does one measure at the base of the neck, under the Adams apple, with the tape resting on the skin or one finger under? Information on how tailors measure the body should be included.
Good app but can be better
I wish it was possible to edit the measurement titles. There are some measurements that are not on the app which are also useful. Examples are Nipple to nipple necessary when drafting apex points on women Also bust point which is the highest part of the shoulder to the nipple. It would have been a perfect app if it allowed users to customise measurements. It seems so fixed.

Great for measurements. I also wish there was a notes section - it would also be handy to have a 'sizes' section. I use this for theatre and having a dress, shirt, pant, and shoe size list on a page would be very beneficial to this app. Still better than any other premade measurement sheet available.
