Doesn’t work
I’ve had to make four separate reservations and different hotels and each time I show up, they either don’t have a room available or doesn’t have my reservation. Don’t waste your time or gas on this app.
I love this app

When you want to cancel the confirmation button always looks like it’s not working.
And then you have to check your email to see if it went through! also: on iPad the back button is constantly covered by the three coloured buttons on iPad when the windows are in multi mode.
Love the concept
But needs to be upfront about what we actually pay at the hotel desk. My strong opinion would be to just show us the price WITH taxes and fees. No other booking sites do this for any type of reservation. If you're unsure what the customer is ACTUALLY going to be charged don't be in the business. Definitely getting over on people presenting one price when you’re looking for a place to stay when you go to reserve it doesn’t tell you how much taxes and fee fees are until after you book it. Yes, you can cancel for free, but that’s stupid and backwards.

Useless App
This app was worthless. Flew all night from the west coast to Boston and the Holiday Inn Cambridge just said “Sorry we’re sold out!” Left us exhausted and never tried to help us get a room at 7 am in the morning. We had to get on our phones and try to find ANOTHER hotel. And we were also stuck paying for ANOTHER Uber ride. The App offered us a discount NEXT TIME. There will be no Next Time. This appears to be a “space available deal”. Which is useless. We lost $$$$
Modify res. Doesn’t work
Currently the app works as intended. You can save using this app if book daytime use of a hotel. The app says you can modify a reservation on the app. This is NOT true. I had to contact support from Dayuse. It was the same hotel but a different date. I still had to pay the booking fee of $6 dollars although it seemed like I wouldn’t have to pay again depending on the modification type or hotel rules. Dayuse should be clear about whether I would be charged another fee. I received an email stating Dayuse changed my reservation without confirming the details with me first. They will run into customer service problems this way…
Fails to list reservations as a way to search
App used to be more useful and allow me to search my reservations. Now it does not and causes me to make multiple identical reservations to be sure I did. Wastes lots of my time that way.
Cool idea but little available
I used this app to find a place where I could recover from an oral surgery and had to wait in the area for 4+ hours to go back. The hotel room day rate was 30% less than the total cost of a full nights stay. We were only there for 31/2 hour and when I asked to extend the room for an hour due to having to wait a little longer they quoted me 20$ for the hour. After paying the taxes for the day use rate the additional 20 would have been the total price for the room for the evening. Kinda disappointing and really annoying. I wouldn’t suggest unless it’s a really good deal. The hotel also had to take out a security deposit of 100$ that will be refunded back into my account in a couple days. So having the security deposit with the day rate plus taxes we paid 182$ the site promoted a price of 70$.
Actually improving
Easy app to use, has improved over the years. Happy it exists. Rarely if ever glitches.
No actual rooms
I’ve attempted to book on two separate occasions, yet when I get to the hotel, they say they don’t have any rooms available and that Dayuse should not allow people to make reservations. When I call the help number, it says the customer service is closed and the AI will help me but then it just ends that call. Yet I’m being charged the processing fee. So make sure you call the hotel before making any reservations through this app.

Needs more locations in the Tampa area .. it’s only 4 maybe 5 .. need more locations in Tampa, Fl
Not as promised
We arrived at the appointed time (11am) and were told that there were no rooms available and we should check back in a couple of hours. If they have a room for us then, we will be paying $158 for 3 hours in a room . This is not acceptable, but I knew the whole idea of Dayuse was too good to be true.
My experience
I love this idea of this app. What’s not good is that my reservation never made it to the hotel and I didn’t have a reservation or room when I went to check in. Fortunately the hotel had a daytime space for me. Please fix this glitch with Super 8 Monee.

Just what I needed a place nice, clean quiet, and easy to relax.

They don’t check for availability, or send any sort of reservation. I don’t recommend using this god awful app
App crashes
I love the app and its purpose, I was able to book a few rooms needed for the day. I have not yet reached my check in date so I can’t comment on how smoothly check in is and if the reservation is honoured. My only complaint with the app is that it keeps crashing. I’ve tried reinstalling and still same thing keeps happening.

Great service, but app needs work
I use this service quite a bit, but I’ve found that the app can be clunky. More often than not my reservations don’t show up until I force close and restart the app multiple times.

Prepaid online-No Reservation
I pre paid online and was sent a confirmation that the hotel confirmed. I get to the hotel and not only was there no reservation, the hotel itself doesn’t accept online payments

The app has become worse due to hidden prepayment policies
I used to love using this app because it didn't require any prepayments and offered true free cancellation. However, the recent changes have made it very frustrating to use. Even when a room says "free cancellation," you are now required to pay a prepayment fee that varies wildly depending on the hotel. To make matters worse, if you cancel, that prepayment is not refunded at all. It feels very misleading to call it "free cancellation" when you end up losing money anyway. It’s no longer as user-friendly as it used to be.

Love the concept of day use. However, when I used the app, it kept closing off/restarting and I had to redo the tasks again and again right from the beginning. Please fix it. Thanks!
Bugs are minor, but often confuses front desk staff.
My only complaint about the app’s functionality is that sometimes previous reservations disappear. Overall it does what it’s supposed to. I do find, however, that a lot of hotel staff don’t know how to process your check-in. I’d say that unless I’ve stayed somewhere before, about 90% of the time the front desk person has to talk to the manager, and even the manager seems to just make something up on the fly so they can issue keys. They’re also frequently confused about whether I prepaid and if that includes local taxes. At smaller places it’s not so bad but I once used it at a major chain’s local flagship and it was half an hour of the guy and the manager pointing at the computer going “try that…hm…no, try the other thing. No wait, try the first thing again…”
FIX THE BUGS!!!!!
The app is great the concept is amazing I love this thing. Makes traveling so much easier I love it. Now the issue it’s the SAVED hotels it’s been an issue since day one for me I’ve been trying to get there attention but man do they lag. FIX THE BUG WITH SAVING HOTELS!!! Come on!!!
Misleading pricing
Be very cautious about hidden taxes and fees. They are listed but buried in the details, so unlike hotels.com, the price you see in big numbers will be much more than posted. Seems silly they don’t just post the final price so we can easily compare apples to apples. Each hotel has their own extra fees.

Worthless
Even though your reservation is “confirmed”, it doesn’t mean the hotel has any room. Arrived at our hotel to be told our reservation was worthless and there was no availability.
Reservation unavailable
My reservation does not show up on the app. To verify, I had to go online to make sure my reservation is current.
Convenient
It’s very convenient to be able to get a day hotel for a few hours during the day. If you need somewhere to do the deed then it’s perfect.
False advertising
Booked a hotel for $160 (obviously i expected taxes at time of payment) hotel was $300 and a completely different time slot! Not sure if this is the hotel or the app but the app should have a better way to indicate prices and confirmation of time! i felt totally scammed but needed the room really bad.

A Photographer's Dream
I'm a local photographer in the Phoenix area. I don't have a studio, and renting photography studios starts at $50/hour. I stumbled onto this app, and thank my lucky stars for it! I can rent a hotel room with access to many amenities for photo shoots at a fraction of the cost of much more restricted photography studio rentals. If you have your own lighting, this app is a game changer for photographers looking for studio rentals!
No privacy experience.
We paid for a day at Holiday Inn in Hollywood FL at 2905 Sheridan St. Around 1:30 pm, a maintenance man walked in on us during an intimate moment. Apparently no one told him about that room being booked. (We weren’t the ones that called or needed him). There was no DND sign in the room either. That was traumatic enough. Then, at 4:30 pm, someone came to the door asking us when we would leave. What?! We were booked until 5pm!!! We had planned to check out 15 min early so all of this was unacceptable. I felt like my privacy was invaded and I was rushed out over their error!! The room was nice but that whole experience made it unforgettable (in a bad way).

Great concept , however the app constantly lags for me. For example - I search for hotels and add a filter - the map option takes me back to one hotel whenever I click on a hotel. Very frustrating to use. I’ve also been a hotel that’s listed as having a pool and then been told it’s shut for the year - very disappointing. Other than that it’s a great app and I hope they develop it further.

Good concept but it doesn’t work
It’s a nice concept. But in my area. The prices are often a bit higher on this app, than if you just purchased for a whole night. On here it will be listed for $100 but I’ll find it on for around 80-90 somewhere else. Also it seems like this app has a habit of making fake reservations.
Maybe use a live system ?
Would have been 5stars but several times I have checked in only to be told we have no reservations for you !! Makes it a little embarrassing ...
Great for cheating spouses
Found out my wife was cheating on me for 8 months. Ended in a divorce but luckily she was using this app weekly to find a cheap place for her infidelities whilst I was looking after our disabled kid. At the end of the day I guess I saved some money through the discounts she received in app. 10/10 app discounts 0/10 cheating wife Total: 2.5/5 stars
Love the app but…
…why does it revert to a different selection when I press on a price on the map. I have to scroll through numerous hotels to land on the one I want to look at. It is very irritating.
