Food & Drink Holliday Edition
Very disappointed in this issue. No sparkle, No excitement in the recipes just lots of adds for very expensive wines and spirits. What happened to family Christmas?
Sue
I have been living in Vancouver and no longer able to get the LCBO magazine love being able to get it online. Thank you
Keeps crashing on my iPad
Love the content but can’t read it because of constant crashes.
No need for another app
You can already find the magazine in PressReader so why do I need yet another app? I like the magazine both in paper format and digital.
Food and Drink
I’ve been collecting and trying recipes from this magazine for years… I used to get a new one and curl up on the sofa Sunday morning with a coffee and just enjoy! I’ve tried a few of the drink recipes on special occasions.. Christmas.. new years… summertime on the patio! One time we took all the recipes from your thanksgiving dinner and made them for our thanksgiving.. it was so much fun.. I don’t get to Ontario often, but when I see a new one out I tell my girls who both live there that it’s time!! I still prefer the paper copy! Keep it up.. please!!
App display frequently corrupted
app needs to be killed and relaunched to correct.
Very convenient
On IPad, this is just great. Better then having to save all the paper copies, of course. It would be nice to implement hypertext linking to the web sites in the articles...would save having to switch to Safari. Still, a great app.. Update 2019: app freezes on all my iPads. I don’t want to restore it as I have 2 years of issues downloaded. Also, recent update requires wifi on, keeps “reminding” you of it...I loved using it offline, now...darn
Food & Drink
Ce serait bien si la revue en ligne était disponible en français.
The food and drink has lost it!,,
Over past two years the mag has lost its way. I have looked forward as many readers have, to each issue, since the first issue. The resipes have been depleted greatly. The mag should be renamed Drink and Food. Let’s hope we can resume to the past standard.Thank you Roy Bradshaw.
New Flavours
Enjoy reading about wines and cocktails that I haven’t tried. Like trying suggestions as there’s so much in the store. I’ve no way to know without your magazine to guide me. Some recipes are to complicated and I would like simpler suggestions for main courses. Not necessarily appropriate wines but more about after dinner drinks. Could use as a replacement for desserts making the meal more exciting.
Consistently great recipes
I have piles of Food&Drink mags that I have collected since moving to Ontario 20myrs ago--every issue has at least one keeper recipe (some many more), and I revisit them seasonally. The ingredients can be harder to source in smaller towns (certainly at the cottage I don't have the same access to international ingredients), but in the city, I love trying new things.
Only works in portrait mode, unreadable on an iPad
Useless on an iPad because it works only in portrait mode. I am unwilling to disconnect the keyboard to be able to see this magazine. other publications get it right and re-format content to suit the device layout. Why can’t this one?
Convenient
Much easier to download rather than dropping by the LCBO & easier to save issues (or re-download them).
The best magazine
Over the years I have made so many great recipes for dinner parties. The magazine is great quality paper. The articles and pictures are wonderfully presented.
Won’t connect
Would be a 5 if it would connect when every other app on my phone can!
Pretty good!
Although I love to pick up the print version in store, sometimes there aren't any copies left and I miss out. Now I don't have to! I just wish all of the previous editions were available online, that way I could clear out my old copies on the shelf (which my husband would love!).
One of the Best Magazines!
With the change of each season, we would watch for the newest edition of Food and Drink Magazine to hit the shelves. I signed up for the electronic version several months ago and I’m so glad that I did. It’s a great format of all my favourites delivered right to me...and it normally arrives just as I drink my morning coffee. Thanks Food and Drink!!
Doesn't work for iPad mini
Can't register or synch with iTunes account. Did you bother with testing first??
Love it!
Really nice app/magazine show casing drink and food. So many good recipes in this mag. I like not having to keep paper copies or recycle so much. Cheers!
Doesn't work well with One Note
The best part of the app vs the printed version should be the connectivity to apps that allow you to save recipes. Unfortunately, when sending to One Note it sends low res images that can't be read.
World class
The “newish” format has taken the Food & Drink to an outstanding level. Although I am still beholden to the printed version, I love to fact that I can go back in time electronically and peruse older recipes and articles
Great Magazine
Cooked a lot of recipes from this magazine over the years. Thank you for making this possible.
Each Issue...
...Is full of fabulous recipes, decor and of course suggestions for beverages for entertaining. I eagerly await each new issue and am super happy it is available electronically now so I don't miss a copy by not getting to the store in time! Thanks you for a really great Canadian magazine! 👏🏻👌🏻
