Brilliant
I have used this app for a few years. Seems to just get better and better all the time? Love it!!
Not satisfying
I am very disappointed it won’t read it won’t do it for you. You have to literally memorize the freaking book in order for it to play the sounds, which is absolutely stupid when you’re blind and just want to hear the story because you’re curious when you find out you have to memorize the book just to hear the sounds absolutely pointless.
Great but need more Spanish!
I love this app so much but it’s just so sad that there are not a lot of Spanish books on here. I’m a bilingual kindergarten teacher and do read Spanish books in my class daily. Wish the selection in Spanish was larger.
Highly disappointed
My daughter has been begging for this app for months. Unfortunately, the in app ebook selection is extremely limited (even with the paid version.) Any book worth reading gives you a link to buy the book separately. Additionally, there is no easy way to search by reading level. I was really hoping this would inspire her younger sister to read, but the app really isn’t designed to teach reading. It’s impossibly hard to find easy books. There is no assistance if the child reads something incorrectly. You have to read loudly and clearly to get the sound effects to work. The idea is adorable, but the execution leaves a LOT to be desired.
Hoping for a small change
Please change the settings so we have options to remove the starting chime. Make it more friendly to children with autism/ADHD/sensory challenges. Mine mainly gets scared of the ready to read chime. When we try to turn down the volume it glitches 2/3 the time and pushes us out of the book we’re trying to read.
Interrupting Chicken
What an adorable story! Novel Effects brings to life, Chicken! I will be giving Novel Effects and Interrupting Chicken, as a gift to my next birthday party invite! What a treasure! LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hate it
Hate the fact that I don’t have any of the same books 😡😡😡😡
Great idea
I think this is a great idea. I wish there were more books for older students.
Soundscapes
For some stories the soundscapes don’t go all the way to the end of the story and I’m left reading the last couple of pages without any sound.
Great but pricey
There are tons of great titles if you pay- if not there isn’t many. I wanted to use it in my classroom but just can’t afford one more thing. Think about adding more free books for teachers- or better yet a way cheaper option for teachers to use it.
Best App
This makes story time so engaging and fun!! I love this app
Just awful
I tried to reach Eid the sound effects of all the places you’ll go and then it asks for a payment to do any of them makes me so mad😡
Microphone issues
The microphone and voice detection is sometimes finicky. I love when it works but often times doesn’t pick up my voice and I’m reading the whole story before it catches up. Would give it 5 stars if it was more consistent.
Money
It sounds cool but they always make you pay for this stuff. You may be able to read some books for free but you have to pay for every good book
Payyyyyyy
…
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Fantastic
Stole my money
Offers a seven day trial, then immediately charged me 50$. Has denied my refund request twice.
The ONLY thing that makes my class be quiet
I use this every day with my class of 6-7 year olds and they absolutely love it. Fairly good range of books which they have added to a lot since I first started using the app last year. My class love a story anyway, but this keeps them engaged on a whole other level. I just connect my phone to a Bluetooth speaker to make the sound better for them as opposed to playing through my phone. Missing a star just because I would like to see even more books to choose from, as my class get disappointed when our book isn’t on there.
Ok
A lot of locked books you have to buy premium for a lot of books
Don’t get this game
Limited amount of ebooks available and some books are locked .I will find a book I like on the app and discover that it is either locked or I don’t have the book in real life .😭
Love it but
Needs a lot more stories.
Charge immediately
You will got charged once your download and sign up! $63 HKD was charge. There is no free trial. I report to Apple immediately and luckily I got refunded.
Is there a french version available?
This app is amazing, loce the sound effects! Unfortunatly, there is no french version... it would be great for my daycare if it were!
Wish it was more accesible
We used to love this app, but now that they charge a membership, we can’t afford it. Won’t let us use the 5 monthly free reads.
Good app but cost is too high.
I am completely understanding that this is a great service and it is a company and they want to get paid for it. But I find as a teacher the price is too much. Teachers often pay lots of their own hard earned money on their students and I definitely do that, but this cost is too much, and even with the cost in general, if I were to purchase it, it takes up too much of my classroom allowance. I really wanted to give it more of a try, but there is virtually no unlocked books to try on. I know there used to be more and they’ve blocked them all off again.
Grandmother’s Fun
One of the best apps for a toddler who loves to read! Keeps her attention and adds so much to the story.
No French options
On line it says that I can choose a language preference when we launch the app, but once in the app it’s nowhere to be found. Is it even available in French or am I wasting my time?
Always searching....
I wish there was a good to save or categorize the books we’ve read and enjoyed. As a teacher I’d like to be able to keep a library of the books that I’ve enjoyed with my kids :)
Great idea but…
Out 100 books we tried only 2 came up. Hopefully this will be a lot better in the years to come, right now however it’s isn’t worth the time it take to try find a book we have that actually in the app, and especially isn’t with the money. Lots of potential, just not ready for the high fee with the lack of books.
Great but so quiet
I have 3 children that wanted to listen and in order to do that, they had to hold the phone to their ears. I couldn’t hear it as I read. I also did the sound test to enhance it and it was still way too quiet
What are the best?
But I have to pay this year from samuel could you make me make it free for me? I found another app to do it for me. Thank you for free bye and I'll delete the score and put it

Application crashes
The app is great when it works but it constantly crashes and freezes. Needs an update
All the books
are great, says my grand daughter
Zero stars
Couldn’t find one book that I read to my kids daily.
It’s so good I
I love this app. It’s so nice. I just read a book that’s so relaxing and it makes me fall asleep like a boom. I love it so much perfect chefs kiss
Disappointing after Shark Tank Pitch
I was so excited after there shark tank pitch. I was raving about it to my husband, and he said to go download the app. After three stories I was instantly disappointed, there were no character voices, and the music was loud and annoying, we could barely hear the sound effect with the music. But the biggest disappointment was no character voices. My husband sucks in the voice department so we thought we had found a solution. Sadly not.
Love but recent TA issues
Me and my daughter love this app but recently had issues downloading the ebooks. The pages are duplicating and not including the full book.
