I really enjoyed this
Going into this I was like ughh I don’t know. I’m so Glad I at least tried and I enjoyed everything, and all the emotions I went through. I feel like a new person being able to recognize certain triggers and getting through them from my experience with this app.
The best module was the last one
The riding the urge was the most on point one. It should be the first one the middle one and the last time one. It is after all the entire point of this program. How to make it through? Is it real? It feels real! How can I make it through? I could have used this one when I first started. But I am here now and this one I listened to and I would save it to re hear many times If I knew how. I love this app. I really do. Thank you!
Wonderful program but a lot to do
Probably should not have tried to start this program with so many other areas of my life being so intense and keeping me so busy. I am repeating the first four weeks because it was just too much to absorb the first time through, and I am still struggling to incorporate the techniques into my life.
Eating not always just a habit
I did ERN for 2 years and I didn’t lose a single pound. I did everything and totally bought into the idea that eating was a habit. I think it is too simplistic for such a complex problem. I lost a lot of time doing this program. It did however help with simpler everyday habits.
Great idea, not so good app
I am new here and I truly believe in the possibility of change. I am eager to start the plan but I can see some of the limitations already in my trial week. First, it seems there are bugs tu fix. Every time I pull up one of the training videos, I get stuck and I have not been able to pass from the 5th. This defeats the purpose of organizing my day around my 10-15 available for this. Second, I tried to watch the meditations and they would not open. Third, when I open the community, is hard to follow the thread of the conversations in the journals, not sure yet how to follow and in which order, I guess is not intuitive. Many of the reviews are >2 years and I am not sure if the app was updated and in that process it became slower/developed glitches or who knows… I read the book and this is a great opportunity at a low cost that’s is easily accessible everyone, including those who have health care barriers, but the app needs much improvement for it to continue working, and sadly, I am not sure if I would purchase the subscription because it already feels frustrating.
A Surprise
When charting my weight recently I was surprised to see that I had lost 40 pounds in my three years in Eat Right Now. I used the app and tools and journal, but didn’t diet. Maybe people will think that this is not much weight, but I know I will never gain it back and I know I will keep losing weight.

Content is good
The content with the app is good. The reason for the 4 stars is that one of the modules was unable to play on my phone. I couldn’t move on until the module was completed. I tried many things that did not work. I finally moved to a different device and was able to watch the video. It was only 1 video that would not play.
Not For Weight Gain :( Only Weight Loss
I’m a little disappointed with this app as I was recommended this through my insurance company. Losing weight is not the only issue people have with food. There is a large community of people with eating disorders that WANT to eat, and are having trouble, and I was hoping this addressed both spectrums of the problem. :\

Amazing weight loss tool and equally effective meditation app
This program is the best I’ve ever tried for weight loss. It’s effective, and I feel better about myself than I have ever felt using another app or program. It’s strengthened my meditation practice, and I feel the effects in other habits throughout my life because mindfulness doesn’t only apply to eating and this app encourages you to look at all of your habits and patterns. It’s really wonderful. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Buyer beware… Subscription Scam
I subscribed to the premium version of this app (annual membership) using Apple Pay. 6 months before my subscription ended the app stopped recognizing my premium subscription. I tried sending a support request and was told that they can’t do anything on their end and that I needed to hunt for a “restore purchases” link in the app. The person providing support could not tell me where in the app this link was. I am familiar I with “restore purchases” concept and have searched the app’s menus with no success. If you don’t mind losing your money, I recommend this app.
Amazing app!
Amazing app! Freezes every now and then but it’s worth putting up with that. Loving it!
Distracting animations and background noises, toddler style
The book, The Hunger Habit, is incredibly informative, but the intrusive toddler animations and sounds that clatter while Dr. Brewer is speaking continue throughout the core modules and are so distracting, it interferes with my concentration. This would be vastly improved if there was an option for listening to the voice only without background noise. Fortunately the theme week modules have no distractions. The zoom meetings were forensic when Dr. Brewer was involved and were helpful understand how to use the program effectively. Now the meetings are much more like WW meetings, supportive but not insightful in the same way. As long as Jacqui is still involved, they still have value to me.
Content is good; experience is not
I learned a lot from the guidance in this program, but unfortunately the app itself needs a lot of attention and updating. It’s glitchy, difficult to use, and aesthetically feels tired, think public university online portal ca. 2014. If it were free, fine, but not willing to pay a monthly. Luckily, Jud Brewer has a new book on the topic which you can purchase for the price of about one month’s membership to this app, and it outlines the whole program.
SO helpful
I have gained and lost 50+ pounds twice now, and trying to lose for the 3rd time. This app has been more helpful than anything I’ve done - successful and unsuccessful - to lose weight and more importantly, become happy and in control of my eating habits. Right combination of science and down to earth analogies to keep it fun and actionable. Could not recommend enough!!!
Too bad it wouldn’t let me register
To use the app you have to create an account. Fair enough but when I repeatedly tried it wouldn’t let me insisting I needed to “check all fields and try again.” Hmm. All fields contained valid info so I guess I’ll try another app.

I’ve been a life long snacker. No longer.
Content good but tech of app is bad
Unfortunately this app requires that I log in every day I use it, which as my membership is sponsored by my health insurance, is a multiple step process. I contacted the help support a month and half ago and the issue is still not resolved. This is not user friendly or motivating.
A Big Blind Spot
This program seems deeply researched and well organized. I came to it ready to fully participate but I’m put off by the persistent use of the word “unhealthy” to describe habits and food, particularly sweet food. For a program that’s all about mindfulness — essentially, paying close attention in a nonjudgmental way — this is a tremendous blind spot, subtly encouraging users to constantly judge themselves. This is distracting and disheartening. There’s just too much right and wrong/good and bad built into this app for it to feel truly welcoming, especially for people who’ve worked to recover from eating disorders. I’d recommend doing some research into recent science and scholarship about eating disorders, food justice, intuitive eating, and the ways that diet culture is frequently repackaged as “wellness.” This program would work so much better with an upgrade to remove the judgmental stance.

Unable to cancel
Buyers beware! This app is notorious for making it almost impossible to unsubscribe. They will charge your credit card without warning. Even though I had changed my card number, they were still able to charge my credit card. The program itself is condescending. There are other programs that are better and for free.
Don’t bother buying 6 or 12 months upfront
Don’t bother buying 6 or 12 months upfront, the amount of effort they put in to the daily lessons significantly drops off after the first month. There’s no more videos and instead its all audio files. Also some of the weeks are really basic knowledge of exercise etc and doesn’t discuss mindfulness at all but you can’t skip them. First month was great but if I hadn’t paid up front I don’t think I would have continued after that.

Great content. The login process is onerous - especially since I’m logging in many times each day. I wish the app would keep me logged in.

Non-responsive
I am glad others enjoy the app. I think it’s terribly expense decided to give it a go and I had issues with the content loading. I couldn’t get one particular video to load in the first module and couldn’t proceed past that point. Of course, this happened the first day I got billed. I tried several times over a couple days, nada. So I tried logging out and then couldn’t reset my password because CAPTCHA just sat there spinning. I’m very disappointed and now I’ve wasted $25.
Glitches! But love the overall idea
I think it has a lot of potential!! Love the evidence based approach. Really cool videos and activities. Great idea to have a craving and stress test. However, the technical issues are making it really hard to appreciate fully! It has frozen more than once while I was taking the stress test and only restarting my phone got it working again. Also, yesterday was my "day one" and I did all the videos and exercises and used the check-ins etc, but this morning I am STILL on day one and nothing I do can change the apps mind. Furthermore, it doesn't always store my progress so I've had to replay videos just so that the app can mark them as "watched" or completed. Very very frustrating. I am so eager to get started on my day two and motivated to use the app, but the major glitches are holding me back!! So far it hasn't taken "only ten minutes of my time" because I can't get it working properly. Please please please fix this!!! I'd like this app to be a success.
Make this usable on iPad please
I know this is not an iPad app, but please at least do the very minimal work it requires to allow this to be used on an iPad in landscape orientation. A major part of the function of this app is its user community which is only currently accessible through the app. I cannot type on the small keyboard of a phone, so I’d need this to work on my iPad with keyboard to be of use. As an Apple iPad developer I am aware that the effort required to make this app adaptive and work with the keyboard on iPad is pretty minor, so please make this otherwise valuable app work for those of us who cannot type on a phone.
I am learning about MY body
I can’t believe but I am actually figuring out how MY mind works and how it’s tied to my body. Not only in regards to food but throughout my life!! I can relate to the examples throughout the program when I thought I was the only one who would starve oneself all day and then make bad choices from 5:30-10:30. It was affecting my sleep and then I would punish my self the next day by repeating the loop. It was not working and I would just continue as I didn’t know any better! I was mean to myself and continue the punishment. This program has taught me true self love and understanding how my mind and body are connected. I have lost weight but not by counting calories, not starving myself, not restricting myself to only eating certain foods. I have lost the weight by implementing mindful habits not only when I’m eating but throughout the day. Most important being kind to myself! thank you so much! Now 55 and I have been on this roller coaster for my entire life and now I feel free and empowered. Thank you again.
BE VERY CAREFUL
This app continuously charges. I signed up for 6 months only - yet I keep getting charged. I think it’s cancelled yet they end up charging again and I have to go through the cancellation process again.
Great science- clunky interface; expensive if you choose long term
Some tech problems with loading videos and interface functions detract from the science. Overall running subscription cost not made readily clear at the start.
Remarkable
I spent a lifetime and a good deal of willpower dieting. Inevitably I had to look for a next move. I’ve been doing Eat Right Now for close to three years. I eat reasonably, enjoy my food , am not hungry and maintain almost all the weight I lost initially on this program. An added bonus, as I found out on a visit to a cardiologist, I eat healthily without giving it a thought. Need I say more.

Too fast
Great concept but all of the exercises are ruined by the fact that he speaks way too fast. This makes them feel rushed and, to be honest, the opposite of relaxing. If they were re-recorded at a much slower pace then I would use again.
Loving it!
This app may seem pricey, but I will be using the insight and tools from it for the rest of my life, and so I think it’s a bargain! My relationship to eating has changed to one of many moments of freedom and deep enjoyment of tasty food. I’ve learned how to support myself in a kind, patient way instead of using harsh self talk to keep myself ‘in line’. The combo of learning to observe my behavior and habit science is effective and can be applied to anything I want to change in my life. Way more useful than any self help book, therapy or coaching I’ve had before.

Eat Right Now Changed My Life
This program has changed my life, and I'm very grateful. Eat Right Now combines mindfulness, reward based learning, mobile applications, an online forum, and weekly group therapy. These tools helped me to identify, and then remedy unhelpful behaviors. As a result, I've lost over 75 pounds. I can now enjoy a much more active lifestyle with my family including hiking in the mountains and participating in all-day theme parks with my grandchildren.
Forgot your password? No way to reset and no way to contact them
I was unable to view some of the initial videos which I wanted to rewatch. Thinking it might help to log out, I did so. After doing so I realized I had not saved the password and didn’t remember what it was. I’ve hit the “forgot password“ multiple times and nothing. Nothing in spam, nothing is m trash, nothing at all. Then noticed that there is no “contact us“ …. All in all a very frustrating experience.
