What should be simple is made complex
The Rointe D range are great heaters. I have had them for 5 years. Possibly the worst overcomplicated user interface I have seen. It needs on/off and temperature. Everything else should be under ‘advanced’. Whenever there is a firmware update the app loses connection. Reconnecting is manual and again hugely complex.
Delta towel rail
Since Saturday just gone I have lost App functionality to control rad, my other Delta rads unaffected. I have tried to reconfigure towel rad as new product but dialogue box states hearing product has not been configured correctly. Please assist!
Unnecessarily clunky
The app is ok but is missing really basic functionality like being able to just switch a product on for an hour without overriding existing settings. By contrast our little plus in portable radiation from TCP allow me to just click on for an hour to warm a room. It just tries to be too clever without actually delivering the basics.
Worked for a while
I have two Belize heaters and successfully paired them after a bit of faffing around. This worked for a few months. I was able to switch them on and off via the app until today. I opened the app and was confronted by login details to use the app. I can’t remember signing up to Rointe and I can’t see why I would need to. My iPhone app is purely for switching my heaters off and on remotely which when it works is very handy. Suitably disappointed that Rointe have did something to the app.
Battery
The latest update is very battery hungry. It is currently the highest battery using app on my phone.

Possibly the worst smart app I've come across, avoid these heaters!

Failure to pair
On initial set up 18 months ago the product paired successfully and whilst the app was too complex for my use, it allowed me to control my water heater remotely and manage the programme via the app (it’s difficult on the actual product). However, trying to pair again after getting a new phone and a new app installation, it will not pair and so I’m left with a dumb water heater that has to be manually controlled which is less than ideal.
Lacks Boost function
Recently installed competitor product (Ecostrad) for a friend. Rointe a better physical product IMO, but similar to the Rointe towel rails, Ecostrad has boost function as standard. What is stopping Rointe from implementing across all their WiFi connected products, not just towel rails? Also Ecostrad Ecosystem app is way more intuitive than Rointe Connect.
Parfait pour piloter mes chauffages
Après une première année où cela n’a pas fonctionné, j’ai enfin pu connecter tous mes chauffages depuis les dernières mises à jour de l’application et du firmware des chauffages. En plus, les modèles Belize et Olympia ont été ajoutés à cette application, ce qui m’évite d’avoir cette appli pour le séche serviette et Rointe Lite pour les chauffages de la maison. Tout est maintenant centralisé dans celle-ci. Pour ceux qui ont des problèmes de température entre la consigne et le réel, il y a un menu caché pour régler le offset de la sonde du chauffage. J’avais également un écart de 4° à la sortie d’usine ! Les pièces étaient échauffée à 22° réel pour 18° demandé ! Pour rentrer, dans ce menu, restez appuyé sur le bouton de marche du chauffage jusqu’à l’apparition d’un menu caché, faire défiler les différents réglages par la touche menu (celle avec des petits points). Vous verrez, à un moment la température calculée par la sonde, et un menu pour la compensation à remettre sur zéro en général. C’était compensé à 3,5° en sortie d’usine pour moi. En remettant à zéro, les chauffages indiquent bien la bonne température dans la pièce et sont bien précis. Pour ceux qui ont des problèmes avec l’heure, alors que leur chauffage sont connectés au wi-fi avec l’application. C’est juste qu’ils n’ont pas autorisé la localisation dans l’application afin d’indiquer l’adresse des chauffages et donc par conséquent le fuseau horaire.

Contento con la App
Quizá un poco confuso de configuración, pero al final se logra y va muy bien. Solo tengo una sugerencia para la App y es la posibilidad de encender manualmente y que este encendido tenga una duración determinada. Un Timer. De ese modo, podríamos encender y que estuviera una hora o menos. Nosotros lo utilizamos como seca toallas. Gracias

Parfait. La température de la pièce est bien indiquée, il faut cliquer sur le rond en dessous avec l’identification du radiateur, un nouvel écran va s’afficher avec cette information.
Can’t even use the app…..
I can’t even get past the first screen, when I try to set my location it will not let me save it. So can’t use the app at all as it has to be set, which is quite frustrating as all my heating and boiler is Rointe…

Nowhere near as bad as the other reviews would lead you to believe
This app is certainly not perfect but upon reading the reviews I was expecting a real struggle to get the radiator connected. This proved not to be the case. Not simple but not impossible either. Took about 10 mins and mostly because I had put my wifi password in wrong in the first try.

Configuración WIFI a la primera. Si no os enteráis de cómo funciona, leeros bien las instrucciones o llamar al cuñao que se entere, porque está claro que sois unos paquetes. El producto y el software funcionan de maravilla.
Dreadful Rubbish
The heaters may look good but the app is totally hopeless. I have only managed to get one heater out of three to connect to the app and the one that is connected is very flaky and unreliable
Easy to use but lacks finesse
I have found using Rointe control to be very easy. Setting up, programming and monitoring all work really well. The interface is slick and easy to get the information you require from. However, there are a couple of functions that seem to be lacking. Firstly you can only control one hour timeslot which makes it difficult to minimise the warmup time for a heated zone. Other heating control systems will allow you minute by minute control making timing far more accurate. The second issue is that I can see no setting to make the automatic programming override manual changes. This means that if the temperature is adjusted it will remain at that temperature continue manually switch the zone back to automatic. A better solution would be that the control app overrides manual settings so that a zone drops back to its programmed temperature, and follows the programmed schedule rather than remaining set at the manual override.
Poor App
The app really does let down these great radiators hugely. The lack of a boost feature means it’s too easy to switch to manual and then forget to turn back to auto - such a basic function as Hive etc have. Timing slots of 1 hour rather than specific timing another demerit. No holiday mode to switch on when away. And trying to use a manual controller(for those without a smart phone or the app) with the tiny radiator screen is well nigh impossible. Surely a update to address these fundamental capabilities is required, or is that somehow impossible with the inbuilt software - a worrying thought?
IMPORTANT information to make the app work
I left a 1 star review for this app, but I’ve now found workarounds for most of the bugs and updated to a 3 star review. The most important thing to note is that when you have completed the set up of your radiator it says “wait at least 30 seconds before pressing the button”. DO NOT PRESS THE BUTTON until you’ve waited at least 3 minutes. This is so annoying because if you press before 3 minutes the app gets stuck and you have to start all over again. Also if you choose a password with special characters it will tell you that your password is incorrect when you try and log in again. Just use a simple password. This applies to your WiFi network password, it will omit any special characters if you choose to save the password to add multiple radiators, which is a pain. Setting up the heating programme is clunky but you get used to it. It’s annoying that if you switch to manual it never switches back to auto again. With a bit of work this app could be very good.

Terrible - total lack of control over heating
As the title suggests. Really have to be alert to keep on top of the heating. No time-out function after manual adjustment of temper is particularly annoying
Control consumo no funciona
Todo bien menos el control de consumo que no funciona. Espero que lo resuelvan pronto.

Falta la opción de saber que temperatura hay en este momento en el espacio. No la temperatura a la que queremos llegar, que eso evidentmente si se puede configurar. Los otros fabricantes indican que temperatura tenemos ahora.

My use is simple
As the title suggests, all I need it to do is turn the heaters on and off with my phone, and it does that, but what I’d really like to do is do that with Siri, NOT Google or Alexa. Just add Matter support, then I can create my automations in Home and life will be simple once more…….

lack of boost function
Like many others the lack of a 30/60 minute boost is a major major major letdown on an otherwise great product. Until a boost function is available I can't recommend these radiators to others. How can something so simple be excluded.
Dreadful app
You are letting down your products. Love the radiators but your app is awful. - needs a boost function for say 30 mins 60 etc. don’t rely on users having to manually switch on or use timer - app doesn’t show if devices actually on or not. Often shows off or on within the app when device is opposite. There doesn’t seem to be a validation that what the app is saying is correct. A worry as I just don’t trust it - app looses connection regulation with devices and I have to reconnect some for no apparent reason Please look at hive / nest etc (or pay their developers) as it probably is the worst app I use regularly I would give the radiators and towel rails 10 out of 10 (we have purchased 15 at serious cost) the app though probably 2.

The radiators are excellent, but the app is incredibly unreliable. When it works, it is ok, however, it works inconsistently. The timer function does not work at all and there is no boost function. A great shame that this substandard app lets down the excellent hardware.
