Would be helpful if you could flip the camera so it’s not in selfie. Super hard to get a kid to look at the camera and not their own face. But this is way better than paying three times as much to get glasses at a brick and mortar store!
Expensive for single use.
It’s a good app and I am sure that it has taken a very accurate measurement. It is expensive for an app that has a single use. Also, which is really annoying, it does not save the measurement values for future reference, hence two stars.
Positioning arrows
It is a bit cumbersome to position the arrows. Too sensitive and hard to grab them. When I would get the red arrows positioned and then remove my finger, they would move just a little, throwing the positions off. Also, sometimes I was unable to make them move because they are so small that my finger was not right on top of them....
The best PD app I have found
There are a lot of PD apps in the webstore & I have tried a few. This is the best & easiest free one i have found with quick accurate measurements
Not accurate
This app isn’t accurate at all. Most of the free apps are more accurate than this. For $6.99 I thought this measurement would be accurate due to the fact the free apps I’ve tried are at least close. I wish I could get my money back.

Worked great when first installed, now freezes at 0% and does not read anymore on iphone x after first day of using?
Unable to refund
When I got this app I thought it was free but it costed 7 bucks so I thought “oh I can just refund it” but I wasn’t able to and that’s why I’m giving this 2 stars I would of given 1 star but I think it’s a good app.
AR enthusiast
Within 2mm, so not bad, but not great. Works when I shut my eyes, so that means it’s a guess at best, no? ARKit eye tracking and estimation? Not really a PD measurement but nice idea.

Took 3 different pictures and it came up with 3 different results.
Doesn’t work well for droopy eyelids
It is difficult to hold a credit card, a phone and take a picture at the same time. Droopy eyelids complicate things. I put some masking tape on the front of the credit card and stuck it on my upper lip. So I was able to get a measurement and since I wasn’t confident that I had good results, I measured again with a ruler and got the same result. I am a complicated case since several problems with my eyes and face that make the measurement difficult. For the average person, this would probably work fine.

Wish I had read the recent reviews first
My optician ended up giving me my PD for near and for distance. The app was off for both. I have a newer IOS, so the process was automatic and didn’t involve using a credit card. The only instruction was to tap on the screen. It didn’t say where to look or how far away to hold the phone. The results were consistent but clearly incorrect.

It’s awfully hard to get the card & eye targets lined up — they tend to move as you release them, so it takes a few tries. After that, I got measurements that varied by as much as 2.5mm. The problem is NOT taking the picture, the problem lies in trying to target up the edges of the card and the pupils afterward...the movement is jerky and there is no option for fine tuning.

Older iPhone? Do **NOT** upgrade app!!
Older version from few years ago still worked just a few minutes ago, but seeing this new version claimed 'better accuracy', I upgraded and now it crashes each time I try to take a face pic in it.. Sad... iPhone 6 IOS 12.49
Major waste of money.
Phone is on tripod with my sitting in chair. I have now done 17 different readings with 14 different results. Don’t waste your time or money!
Good... However;
Little concerned why you need a credit card as opposed to another sort of card? Other than that, quality!
Difficult to use.
It is not easy to hold your credit card horizontal. Reflection of light in yoyr pupils make it difficult to find the pupil’s centre. The red crosshair is difficult to place precisely.
Suggestion
Not to be paranoid, or anything, but I really think a credit card is a bad idea. Credit card numbers can be deciphered from the back of a card. Use a rewards card or something else with no numbers in the back. Alternatively, shield the numbers with paper or a sticky note.
The automatic feature is amazing
No more fiddling with measurements with a credit card. It locks onto your pupils in seconds Optometrists won’t give a pupil distance because they claim that it would depend upon the frame and lens you get. Sound like BS. The amount of space between your eyeballs is a constant. They are just trying to get you to buy glasses on their place, at a cost of 4 to 6 times that of the online vendors.
Not accurate and misleading
Don’t waste your time or money. 1st the website says it’s $5. Apple store says $9.99 but it charged me $17. Second the website shows using a credit card and aligning your pupils. The app doesn’t do that. And it gave me a reading of 68 when my PD is actually 64. Overall unhappy with the entire thing.
Not accurate
Works well but I didn't trust it so I went to an optician to double check and it was 4mm out which can make a lot of difference. Glad I went to my optician to check.
Easy
Needed something quick to order my glasses thank goodness I found this. It was very simple to use, sounds like a few people have had a hard time with this app but I don’t understand why it’s pretty easy to take a selfie.

Works great!
This is a great app to use if your eye doctor’s office is refusing to give you your PD. I had gotten my exam done and ordered a pair of glasses but after receiving them I was not happy at all and wanted to return them and look into buying online, but you need the PD. So I called and they said that it changes with each pair of glasses so it’s not part of my prescription and they can’t tell me, which I knew was crap, they just wanted to keep me buying from them. So I downloaded this app and did it a bunch of times and took the average of all those and then when I went and returned my glasses they pulled out all my paperwork and sure enough my PD was listed and it was the EXACT SAME as what I had averaged on here. Well worth the price when you’re saving by buying online.
Mono PD
7/3/21 I thought it would give mono PD for someone who has two measurements. Sadly, it just gives the PD divided by 2 and allocated to each eye. 1/20/22 Your response about it measuring mono PD has not been my experience. My son was diagnosed as having different PDs but I only got one reading with your app. Either it doesn’t support mono PD or it doesn’t measure accurately.

Doesn’t work anymore
When I got the app the first time, it asked for your credit card as a reference as long as you just cover the sensitive information. It worked perfectly then. Now it’s absolutely horrible and gives you wrong reading over possible 2-5mm
