Not only does login and password come by snail mail, when you try to log they give you an option to trust the device via BestSign or verify each time you log in. Turns out my Face ID is not good enough, for BestSign they need to send you another login per snail mail. Ok fine, so let’s use the other option. Turns out there is no option and you’re forced to wait for your letter in the mail. Slow, convoluted, and illusion of choice: Germany
Face ID broken
Since the most recent update, I have been experiencing issues with Face ID authentication. I am still able to log in to other application for example, Miles & More credit card without any problems. However, the Deutsche Bank app no longer allows me to use either Face ID or my password. After adding my Bank ID, the password option disappears, and tapping the Face ID button does not trigger any action. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue.

Where are my English version and saved transfer information?
I opened my recently auto-updated app just to realize it all went back to German version without an easy language setting icon to be found. Plus my saved transfer data are gone as well. Fortunately I found this before the month end when I have to pay all those bills. But surely this is not a very satisfied update should be.

Es wäre ratsam und Kudenfreundlicher gestalten, eine Benachrichtigung zu erhalten, wenn das Geld eingeht, damit nicht jedes Mal in die App gehen müssen, um zu überprüfen. -Farben von virtuellen Karten in Wallet ändern, weil die weiße Farbe verschwimmt ist nicht wirklich gut sichtbar und schwer erkennbar ist... . Warum nicht z.b. blau, reguläre Farbe von Deutsche Bank ?

Awful Registration
They send you a letter with your user name. Then a separate letter with your access code. You login and set up a personal password… just so they can snail mail you a third time with an access code for their BestSign. By the time you get all these letters via snail mail, it took WEEKS to gain online access! Ridiculous
Push-Benachrichtigung
Es wäre wirklich wünschenswert, wenn man in der App Push-Benachrichtigungen für bestimmte Kontoumsätze aktivieren könnte – z. B. bei Zahlungseingängen ab einem selbst festgelegten Betrag. Ständige E-Mail-Benachrichtigungen sind dafür einfach nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Andere Banken bieten solche Funktionen längst an.
Nearly unusable
A total mess. I can’t see what I spent, or on what. The credit card interface has been broken for years. There’s a ton of useless chrome and junk in the UI and it’s nearly impossible to find anything. And 2/3 of the app is in a language that I don’t speak. It barely functions as a banking app.
Welcome to 2020!
Sincere congratulations to the developers making it to 2020, it’s been some time since 2012. This app is NOT ready for Liquid Glass (I bet development will skip that trend until 2030). This app features labels such as “Scheduled executions”, you mean >executing< scheduled [transfers] right? Compulsory use of “Finanzplaner”, as useful and effective as the CO₂ calculator. The custom UI icons are nice though. Good job. You need to hire/emphasize UX specialists. This updated barely scratches bare minimum expectations. Could have been so much better. Who asked for light mode? I know consumer banking and digitization are not priorities at Deutsche or Deutschland for that matter. But retain some of the infamy and mystery of the upside-down world. Feel free to reach out to me for pro UX feedback.
Access Failure
I am having issue with online banking to transfer money. It is giving error of TAN even I haven’t reached to that part. I contacted Kundenservice, I was told to close and open again the app. Really? The old version was much smoother! Hoping for sooner bug fixes!

Mediocre at best
Compared to all other banking app DB is so clunky. Most information is static in pdf, no real time information. No verifying purchases. I don’t know why they keep using the weird phototan for verification instead of just verify with sms or email, you can’t customize your pins. Just an outdated, useless app. Hire some good designers, maybe with experience in banking apps. Look at bank of America!! I was abroad and I bought a new phone so I couldn’t access the app without my printed phototan!!Wake up DB it’s 2024!

The app is alright. My bank account number keeps getting cleared from the login screen and I don’t know why. It sounds silly, but it really increases the friction of using the app. Would be nice if this could be fixed.

“Modern” banking that’s aged poorly
Good lord I hate this app. I hate this bank. I hate everything about the customer experience. Nothing works well. Saved accounts for transfers get erased from time to time which is always great fun when bills are due, there’s no consistent ability to copy a previous transfer (sometimes the plus button is there, sometimes it’s not!), log in information randomly cleared often in the name of “privacy is our passion”. So passionate that they keep your accounts and features private from YOU their customer! Customer has no control over account access, and it’s all managed by post. Look, I know I’m an expat and have different standards, but come on, this is just masochistic.

Suddenly my iPad and iPhone are not able to take photos without problematic messages. Pity It normally works so well.
Erases login information regularly
I really hate this app sometimes. It has some good features (the photo transfer feature OCR works ridiculously well), but the stupid thing frequently forgets my login information. When this happens, I have to go to my password manager and manually copy over my branch number, account number, sub-account number, and pin since the login fields aren't recognized by the password manager. The login fields don't allow pasting, and if you make a mistake in your account number and try to correct it after a failed login, hitting backspace deletes the entire account number so you have to start over from memory (which just failed you). Why oh why does this stupid app keep forgetting my login details???

This app makes you launch a second app to verify all transfers. You also need to scan a physical piece of paper to log in…and you need that same piece of paper if you get a new phone. Last century technology.

I’m not sure why the app switches to the German language - due to contractual reasons. If there is ONE bank in a Germany which is supposed to operate globally, then this is Deutsche Bank, no?! So I am more than confused why the Deutsche Bank online banking platform is not made for the international user, and offers the option to communicate in English?!? Best regards, Sabine Dworak. I am sure that the Bank in 21st century shouldn’t look like this. 1. I need to remember 15 numbers just to log in!!!!!! You are definitely trying to irritate me as much as possible. 2. How can I contact support team besides phone???? I was scrolling my app up and down to find any contact information. But you want me to contact you only if I am happy!!! I am a Marketing Manager so I know this trick. For you to know in Modern banks you can contact them via messenger bot along with email and hundreds of other methods. 3. Next. You make me enter 15 numbers to identify me by Telephone. Really? Have you heard about voice recognition?!?! 4. Next. Your app can perform just one function - money transfer?! So for you to know, in modern bank your can transfer money by phone number, tax ID or other stuff of beneficiary not only IBAN. Honestly that is the time in my life I have to add 16 numbers of IBAN for transaction. And I could open more accounts just via the app. And hundreds of other functions a bank app can do, but not yours!!! 4. Any good bank app allows to change daily transactions limits. Where can I do it in your app??? So I totally disappointed. You guys are totally outdated. And of course I will attract Apple Review Team to your manipulation with reviews!

Missing many features
I’m a US expat. System is safe and reliable just has so few features. Cannot see pending monthly payments for one. Perhaps its my US banks offer so much lore detail.
Student blocked accounts.
I am a student studying in Germany. I have a blocked account made in DB. Everything works great. The apple pay is awesome. However, I just dont see the total amount that is unblocked. I see the whole amount that is blocked. It would really help to manage finances per month if DB app shows the total amount that is unlocked and can be accessible for that month. Sparkasse has that feature. To check the remaining amount for that month I have to go to DB bank every time which is redundant. So please fix it.

Photo Tan does not work for me
I have online Banking in the US and Great Britain. I never have any problems. I spend 2 days on the phone to get help. When i am part to the explanation nothing happens and I am disconnect4ed. Th videos have not been helpful
