What people like
- Calculations are very accurate for long range shots.
- Great variety of reticles and ammo libraries.
- Easy to use even for beginners.
What they complain about
- It crashes and won't open anymore.
- You lose all your saved data when it crashes.
- Support emails go unanswered for weeks.
Spot on
I got this app while I was at the range. Forgot my IPad with my information on it. Fired two shots with the chronograph. Entered the info and it was spot on the target at 500 yards. Can’t complain for that. Will be keeping it.
Not accurate for 22LR
The velocity chart was not accurate for 22LR giving not accurate readings at 200 yards. Off by over 6 MOA.
Great until it wasn’t.
Having the same issue as others with it crashing on launch. Worked previously, but I was hoping to get some use out of the app since I’ll be shooting out to 1,000yds this weekend. Oh well. Edit: I uninstalled then reinstalled the app, and it seems to be working as expected for the moment.
Closes randomly
The app is cool when it works. But it often won’t open when all my other apps will. I have to delete the app and reinstall it from the App Store, Then I have to enter all the info and billets again. I have sent help requests with no answer.
Constant crashes
I really enjoy this app but it often crashes and won’t open. Especially in times of need. Please fix this.
Pretty dang close
It’s pretty dang close out to a grand. You just kinda have to play with the app some to figure it out then it works nicely.
WTF
So I pay to get the app only to discover MY scope is “in development “ and not available. Maybe they could have MENTIONED THAT . Pi$$ed off . They better reared it me card.
App won’t open anymore
I love this app very much but it won’t open for me anymore. It does the initial loading screen and then just closes. Tried deleting and reinstalling, it open the first time but after that it won’t open. I’m on version 5.8 if that’s helpful in any way. Other than this problem I’ve loved the app, just a bummer.
The app quits
The app works great once initially downloaded, I try to reopen the app and it force quits. I’d have to redownload and re-input data to use the app again. Hopefully there is a fix for this
Keeps crashing
Great app but keeps crashing. You enter all the data just for it to not open anymore.
Love this app! There isn’t another like it.
However, it doesn’t open on my new iPhone. Hoping an update comes soon.
Won’t open anymore.
App is terrific but it doesn’t open anymore.
Crash
Start-Up crash
Great app. I want to come back and give it 5 starts. Unfortunately, I have to delete and redownload the app every time which causes me to have to redo all the ammo and rifle selections.
Please UPDATE
I really like this app, but it keeps crashing and doing a hard lockout. DEV PLEASE FIX!
Been great for me
Iv been using this app for the last year now and it’s been 95% right on for me with all of the information I put in it’d dead on for me
App Doesn’t Work
This app doesn’t not run on the iPhone 17 Pro Max. It quits every time as it is loading up.
Great but crashes
Love the app but it crashes and then won’t open. I have to uninstall and then reinstall only to have crash the next time. Please update!!!
Crash
App is great but after using it a few times I am forced to delete it and download again. The light version does not have this issue and has caused me to get other companies ballistic apps.
Great app, but has big problems
It has a lot of features and would be/is worth the price if it wouldn’t crash. With a fresh install, works great. After a bit, it crashes on boot. I’ve tried closing it and rebooting the device. Only way to get it working again is to reinstall and lose all the load data and rifle setups
It’s so useful
I love this app
no work to iphone 15 pro max
no work to iphone 15 pro max
Won’t load rifles right
App copies loads into wrong rifles.
Nice layout, easy to use, but lacking for long range
A couple of items that are an issue…the ammunition library is extremely lacking and more importantly, the ballistics calculator doesn’t account for spindrift!
Good APP with a few bugs
APP has great features that allow for multiple gun configurations and a good library of cartridges . Great array of scopes to chose from and ability to toggle between MOA and Mils offers good versatility. My only complaint is that this APP would fail to load every 3-4 weeks and force me to delete and re-install it. After doing this 3 or 4 times and losing all of my preset data, this only caused me more work to reconfigure each and every time. If they get the bugs fixed I may be back but for now the light version is more than adequate.
Great
Had the SBC lite for a long time downloaded this one now I use both to compare back and forth and love being able to have data quick and store hand loads and all the other features been using these two apps for years
Not working
The app keeps crashing
I really really enjoy the app but it’s got it’s issues
I’ve used this app on and off for a few years. I enjoy everything about it function wise. Biggest issue is sometime the app get hard locked out so it’ll crash any time I open it. I haven’t been able to figure out what causes this but it can be extremely annoying to lose all my data and then have to re enter it. Would also like to see more Schmidt reticles like the MDRT6.
App not being supported any longer
2 emails to ask for support of a reticle resulted in no response so i assume it is no longer being supported. Too bad as i think it could be useful.
Great App but fails on IPhone 16
The app worked great, now crashes prior to starting when I changed over to the IPhone 16, I’ve temporarily been barred from my logged ballistic data. Please help resolve!
App crashing iOS 18.6.2
Love the app but App is failing to open on iOS iOS 18.6.2
Unusable after the recent iOS versions
I’ve been using SBC Ballistic Calculator for a long time and it used to work great. Unfortunately, ever since the last couple of iOS updates, the app has become completely unusable. It crashes instantly — it either closes abruptly during use or doesn’t even open at all. With hunting season right around the corner, this has been incredibly frustrating. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app multiple times but the issue still persists. No updates or fixes from the developer in weeks, so I finally had to switch to another ballistic app. Really disappointed to see a once-reliable tool go downhill like this.
Permanenter Absturtz
Grundlegend eine super App. Nur leider lässt sich diese nach dem ersten Öffnen nicht nochmals öffnen, sondern stürzt immer gleich ab. Was die App unbrauchbar macht.
Worked once and crashed
I used this for 20 minutes, opened it back up and it looks like it’s loading, then shuts down. I just got my new iPhone 15 a few days ago. It’s terrible that it won’t open anymore. Looks like I will be deleting this app as it won’t work.
It's ok
Not the best app out there it does less than a lot of others app out there that is a lot less money. I bought it cause it works on the Apple Watch. It works on the watch but it is tedious and the watch and phone doesn't sync so you have to do everything twice and it doesn't line up with other app that I know works. Personally I wouldn't buy it again if I knew what I know now. 3 stars cause it's the only app that is stand alone on the Apple Watch.
Excellent Dope App
I am new to long range shooting what I have seen and used with the app it’s great!🤙
Won’t open
This appears to be a very good app however, once I set up the rifles and save them, and the app is closed such as when the phone restarts when I go to open the app, it won’t open the icon pops on the screen spins around once and I’m returning to the home screen support has yet to respond to my request for assistance. I have to remove the app from my home screen from the phone and then I have to re-download it but when doing so it tells me I will lose all my data when I re-download the app after deleting it. The app opens, but my data is gone. Also, there is no way to save different rifles with different ammunition types if I save and set up a rifle in 308 and then I create another rifle in 65 Creedmoor the rifle that was set up in 308 is now showing 65 Creedmoor. Is this app supported any longer?
Update Factory Loads and Reticles
Great app - definitely worth subscription. The reticle and magnification function is a huge help. My only complaint is that factory loads and reticles are very slow in development.
Great when it works
I purchased this app when it first dropped, and it was exactly what I needed when I decided to get into long range shooting and hunting. After about a year, they did something with how they charged for the app, and completely dropped my purchase like it never existed. I was able to get a hold of them, and they did the right thing with restoring my purchase, but since then, the app hasn’t been reliable. It just won’t load.
Reliable and easy to use
I had tried a few APPs but this one won the award for me as it was accurate and easy to set up A winner !
Easy to use
Great app, easy to use, fast in switching between options
Was great but crashes on startup
Have to delete the app and reinstall every week just to use and of course none of the data is saved.
Stürzt neuerdings ab
Moin, eigentlich war ich bisher ganz zufrieden mit der App aber seit heute Morgen lässt sie sich nicht mehr öffnen! Was ist da los?
Great App , but…
Awesome app when it stays up. Never seems to be reliable we needed behind the rifle! It is inconsistent and crashes most of the time. Please fix!
Bug Fix
Version 4.0 freezes totally on my IPhone 6
Such a great ballistics app
Great variety of reticle & ammo.
Sc
App never works, always have issues trying to open it up
Satisfied
But I’m an olde guy. I changed the font to enlarge it and now I get lines of data written over each other making things hard to read. I wish I could correct this. Otherwise I’m very happy. We had a lot of fun on the range shooting small cartridges at gongs out to 400M. Some we were hitting and couldn’t hear it. I might change to another app to eliminate this font problem but I’m used to this one.
Needs angle moa
Needs angle moa
Watch App Doesn’t Work
App won’t load on watch. Only reason I purchased the app.
