This is a very awesome app thank you very much Except for one thing after selecting 30 locations or more the notifications stops working When selecting the 30th When selecting the 30th place the notification stops working for the 30th place and when selecting more afterwards The recent places you selected their notifications stops working well the rest of your older places notifications still works Plus in older versions it showed every lightning distance now only when it is at 99 km or Closer it shows the real distance at higher than hundred kilometres it only shows more than 100 km This cannot work just as we can add unlimited unlimited places we want to receive unlimited Notifications for our selected places especially with rural areas Plus for Euro areas always make sure that the app provides weather forecast for each and every place you selected please improve this this will give us a much more advanced lightning experience in time/Lightning Alarm experience add weather forecast to rural areas Plus add unlimited notifications to unlimited select selected places This will give us a real time Lightning Alarm experience Since the app makes a thunder sound add a flash to it that flashes before the thunder sound this will let it feel like lightning strikes in real time Thank you so much for Lightning Alarm we are looking forward to see future updates plus we cannot delete saved locations on the app we need to say outline place as the solution we want to be able to delete saved locations as well if we are tired of them Please improve this give us access to delete saved locations Make sure that weather forecasts are shown for every for every kind of location including little areas area Rural areas Thank you very much for Lightning Alarm we are looking forward to future
Not working
I couldn’t even get past the first screen. The app completely froze and became unresponsive right away. I tried refreshing, restarting, and even uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing worked. Extremely frustrating experience right from the start.
Widget
Can you please create widgets for us to add to stacks on ios!!!
Good
It works very well
New Update 👌😮💨
So much new functions! Great application I use it daily.
Won’t let me in
When I press next for the cookies nothing happens
Works Great…But!
I ve had this app for a long time and it works great. I use it during work hours in case I need to call a 30/30 shut down. Being in the US, I use the imperial system. When I’m in the app, everything shows up as miles. But as of a number of months back, my alerts have switched to metric and I have no idea how to get it back to miles. I’ve deleted the app several times and reinstalled it and that doesn’t seem to work. I’d give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for that.
Worked well until it didn’t.
This app used to be my go-to for tracking lightning for outdoor sport in South Africa, especially in our area where we can have electrical storms without rain. It was accurate, useful and used daily. Until it stopped working. The app crashes immediately on opening. I have an iPhone 13 and have updated my software, updated the app, restarted my phone, and tried any other available solutions. I have considered getting the paid version but I am concerned it will be just as buggy and a waste of money.
Négatif
Depuis la mise à jour elle fonctionne moins bien. Je n’ai plus d’alerte. Heureusement il y a d’autres applications. Très déçu, c’était mon app favorite pour la foudre.
So helpful
I have tried so many storm apps to help with my storm anxiety and this one seems to be the only accurate one I can rely on . Keep up the good work
Update was bad
After using the app successfully for many years, I updated and now the information is delayed. It displays the last lightening gen though it may have been half n hour ago. It’s really hard to irk its now
Location
It will be great if you have a setting to choose current location
App shuts down when opening
Deleted. Reinstall. Accept all. Search location. App crash immediately as well as every time opening it
Bonne application
Bonne application mais ont entend pas le son de l orage lorsqu il passe la cible des 30 km
Love the update!
Love the new update, this app is very reliable and easy to use. The nee features make the app 5 stars
Latest update is broken
Latest update is broken. Open the app and it stays stuck on intro screen about cookies. Clicking the “next” button does nothing.
Storms and dogs.
Perfect use it for my dogs as as one is scared of storms and I can easily see when to start medication. This app is essential for me.
Is the lighting alarm app down?
The app closes immediately after launching. Pls assist. Thanks
App Problems
I used this app for about 2-3 year and was very happy with the features. I used it for my coaching and since the beginning of September 2024 it is giving me problems. I open the app and it closes itself and tried all solutions to fix it with no satisfaction. Please fix?
Kids swimming
With my kid always wanting to swim, I use this app everyday when he’s in the pool to ensure there’s no lightning close by. It brilliant & I find it so user friendly & convenient to use.
Dolomite Area Vital to receive accurate Alarms
This app use to be fantastic 100% accurate but now keeps closing and No alarm. We live in a dolomite area in a small rural village and the alarms were life saving . I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times but still intermittent. As we approach lightening season I’m becoming more and more concerned
App keeps crashing
I updated to v1.5.1 and the app crashes when I open it. Nothing I do helps. Please fix this bug! In summer, I rely heavily on the app to provide advanced warning for swimmers and summer is near.
Crash
The app keeps crashing i cannot use it
Stopped working
I used this app last summer to follow lightning, it worked wonders and very accurate, this season after hearing the first thunder of the summer, the app just bombs out every time i want to use it. Can the developers please fix any bugs that may be present
Amazing
It works like a charm
App does not stay open
Wish i could leave a less than 1 star…. App closes immediately on start up every single time. Deleted and reinstalled numerous times still does the same
Florida
This app is very helpful in pinpointing dangerous lightening hot spots even when there is no rain. It is important to know if there is lightning close by while doing yard work. I have been utilizing Lightning Alert for several years now.
Doesn’t Work
Wont open 4 out of 5 times. When it works it’s great.
Alright
So this app is nice, but I was trying to use it as a means to know when it is safe for things like sports and for physical education classes. The app would improve if there was a way to adjust the alert rings. Alerting with a 30 mile that lightning is in your area. At 20 miles you are under a lightning watch. Finally at 10 miles you are under a lightning warning would be helpful for this application. Not a bad app for casual usage but could be improved for a more broad application.
(5) Star
As an outdoor youth basketball development coach, T’is reliable app has become so handy, exactly what I needed
Not Staying Open
App Opens and closed immediately. Only the notifications work
Sport and tech
It’s very useful for children’s sport as many have said. We once got a direct lightening strike on our house. This is very useful to know when to unplug certain tech devices.
Now quits all time
No problem until now, but will now not work- just quits at launch. No luck from reinstalling etc
Good up until now
This app has been brilliant until recently where it just closes as soon as you open it. Can’t seem to contact the developer to report the issue.
Golfers friend
Every golfer should have this app on his phone particularly if you play in countries, susceptible to storms. Eg South Africa, Australia, USA
Crashing on iPhone
Please check why app is crashing on iPhone application
Awesome app
As a teen im scared of lightning storms but with this app im fine
Disappointed
I love tracking lightening but this app was disappointing- the alerts don’t work and can’t work out how to limit the radius
Won’t let me open the app
Been using this app for years now and just recently it will not open. It always force closes after I launch it.
Accurate
Very accurate. Well done
Bug
This app was great whilst it worked. But now it has a bug and auto exits immediately on trying to open it. This is despite deleting and reloading the app multiple times.
Crash once open
The app is very intelligence and it is helpful But my experience with it is always crash and not working Quick fux will be good ,,,
Ok
Zooming in and out plays up a lot. Sometimes the app switches itself off. Does pick up lightning though.
Helpful but not accurate enough
It’s helpful, but it doesn’t always give the information from where a person is at.
Awesome App
Lightning Alarm is an outstanding app that has become an essential part of my daily routine. Its real-time lightning alerts are incredibly accurate and have helped me stay safe during storms. The user-friendly interface makes it easy to navigate, and the customizable notifications ensure I never miss an important update. I highly recommend this app to anyone who wants to stay informed and safe during severe weather conditions. It’s a must-have!
App not working
This app used To be good. But it does not even start up anymore!
4 stars app
For a kid with heavy anxiety I hate storms and this helps I would of have a five star but it’s not your exact location
Potential
This app has potential but needs some attention. When zoomed out to give a wide view, rain clouds (if appropriate) show up. Zoom in to a specific region and the clouds disappear. Zoom out again and .... no clouds! Exit the app and go back in .... no clouds. Force close the app or power cycle the iPhone and .... clouds reappear on the zoomed out screen. Notification alerts are also very hit and miss. Otherwise, and ok app.
Useful App
This has been a useful App but the update 18.6.16 now causes it to crash rather than open. Hope they sort it out!
