Can’t actually use my feee 6 month subscription for coach
Every time I try to sign up for the 6 month free subscription it says ‘oops something went wrong, try again’. I couldn’t even sign into the app at first, it kept saying my details were wrong. I think I’m going to have to return this

I’ve had two Bella beats and they just do not work after a while. No connecting, no response via email. Go with a more reputable company.

I LOVE the app,I recommend it to literally every girl in my friend group! I love how supportive and amazing it is💕 But literally EVERYTHING is premium so it makes it hard to enjoy from time to time☹️
Doesn't really work with my hardware
This app is designed for the Ivy device. Very few of the functions work with my Leaf. It syncs, but the Leaf doesn't have bluetooth and can't track my heart rate. I know you want us all to buy the Ivy, but I bought the Leaf several years ago, and it was expensive, so there should still be an app that has more than minimal function for the Leaf.
Like the Hardware; App Needs Work
My device works great, but the app needs to retain my height, weight, and birthday. It’s annoying to see that I’m 60kg and 0.3” and born on today’s month and day in 1943. I can’t trust the data on here when it can’t even get that part right.
Life changing and beautiful
I have been using bellabeat products and app for three years. I own the Leaf Nature, the Leaf Urban, and now the Time watch. I adore the style and functionality of these products. The visual feedback that the app provides about my daily healthy habits keeps me accountable to myself. I use the app’s mediations several times a week. The sleep reports motivated me to get checked for sleep apnea, which I now know I have. I will also say that their metals really are hypoallergenic. I have frequent metal allergies to things claiming to be rose-gold, but bellabeats cases, chains, and watch strap have not caused me any allergies, to my great relief.
6 years of data gone
I’ve been using this app for at least six years and I’ve tracked monthly… I’m perimenopausal and the log was very helpful as my medical providers and I navigate this phase of life. Yesterday when I opened the app, all of my data was gone. Hugely disappointing. Moving onto Apple health I suppose.
Lots of bugs
I have a love/hate relationship with this app/product. There are a lot of bugs - for example with pairing, syncing, all of a sudden the water intake won’t record, sometimes it shows that I have hit my step goal but when you look at the details it looks like it stopped recording steps halfway through the day based on the actual step count. However, I do think the period tracking piece is accurate.
Not accurate whatsoever
I’ve been getting more into fitness lately, and have been wearing my Bellabeat on my shirt or pants every day. When I try to sync it, it takes forever and I’m tapping it for like 5 minutes trying to get it to connect. Once it connects, I see my daily activity and it’s not accurate at all. 1.5 hours of nonstop pickleball and the app says I had 10 min of exercise that day.. with only a few hundred steps taken. I’ve been moving into a new house, and walking back and forth for weeks (I literally have not sat down more than 3 times in my new place) and still barely any steps are being tracked. For the price of this device it’s not worth it. I have the necklace/clip on leaf.. which I was so excited about at first.. but now I’m very disappointed. I hope the other products they make work better. 😔
I wish the app worked better
I came here to talk about the app. It’s CLUNKY! They updated it and most of the features don’t even work. Also, the readiness score is kind of confusing… how the app describes the way it calculates your specific data is very vague which makes me think it’s not that accurate… I haven’t tried customer service yet but I’m considering it. Overall I think they could refine the current details of the app, it’s pretty intuitive but glitchy enough for me to want to write a review. I’ve had the Ivy bracelet for 2.5 months now.
Love this cant wait for updates
I have received my leaf and it has been working so well. I love the meditations, the exercise tracker, recording my own meditations- if done without the use of the app, period tracker as i never track it myself, sleep tracker which has been useful for me. I struggle with anxiety and depression as a result of PTSD and this helps me to keep alerted heightened state when stressed or not enough sleep. App is a great help into staying alert to my current state of being, plus a nice accessory.
Oh bellabeat, what happened?
This product and app worked pretty well back in 2017 but nothing seems to work now. It’s a bummer, because the jewelry is beautiful. I hope you take all the feedback from your customers to heart.
App issues
I really like the device but the app needs work. So many glitches especially the sleep tracker. The whole point I got the bellabeat was to track my sleep since I don’t like wearing my Apple Watch to sleep. Fix your app please
Does not sync with Apple health
Update: I have sent an email to support and received no response. Despite setting up the integration with Apple health, the mindful minutes and water are not syncing. Only steps. I wish this app didn’t require so much manual entry and synched with apps that are already automatically tracking. For example Apple health reads from hidrate (water) but this app doesn’t read it. Apple reads my meditation minutes from Peloton but it is not coming over to Bellabeat.
Terrible update
I can’t even enter my period dates. The app just choose to ignore the date I save and change it. It’s no longer reliable. I used to like how it showed the full cycle on a circle with the different phases. Now we can only see the phase we are supposedly in, with a picture of a flower. Useless. They should go back to previous updates.
good app
Leaf is great. It counts steps and so much more. The bellabeat app that goes with leaf is great and really gives you the tools needed to succeed in living a healthy lifestyle.
Don’t waste your money

Issues Old & New, but I still LOVE you!
I wanted a Bellabeat for years before I could afford one. I have an old Lilac, purchased used, and if it ever kicks the bucket, or they stop supporting it, it will probably be several more years before I can afford to get one of the new devices, second-hand. Hoping it’ll hang on for a few more years at least. Anyway, some of my gripes are about the updated app (like LOTS of other reviews), but something I’ve wished since I got my Lilac is the option to record sleep beginning before 9 p.m. In the winter, especially, I fall into bed at 7:30 some evenings. I understand if the device itself is hard-wired, but the app at least, should allow for manual correction to a time earlier than 9 p.m. My new gripes are in a similar vein to many others already published here. I’m not a fan of the wellness score. I wouldn’t mind it so much if it were possible in the app settings to choose what data to center when opening up the app and right after a sync. Personally, I’m most interested in my sleep stats, so it seems like I should have the option for the detailed sleep info screen to pop up after a sync. It would be great to have this kind of control on the home screen too. I would probably choose to view sleep, meditation and activity/steps and hide the wellness score as well as water intake, since I never intend to use this app for tracking that. Also, whose idea was it to have yesterday’s wellness score be the first thing you see after a sync? To me, that makes ZERO sense. If I’m syncing info on a Wednesday (which includes sleep from Tuesday to Wednesday, (why on earth would I expect the thing I see as soon as the sync is over to be a score including sleep stats from Monday night? It’s not just after morning syncs either. Every sync is followed by a display of “yesterday’s” stats. So even syncing on a Wednesday evening is going to conclude with a reminder about Tuesday’s wellness score, even if you’ve already synced a time or two throughout the day. I had a hysterectomy last year, and from the complainants in other reviews, it sounds like the frustrations of dealing with that functionality on here is one more reason in the growing list to be grateful for that. I’m giving 4 stars, because honestly your product (your stylish fitness jewelry) is really lovely and quite amazing in its functionality. Time to rectify some of the issues with the app, both old and new. Thanks ~Juliet
Beautiful product, clunky app
I love the way the product looks. I was never a fan of being super connected to a watch and getting too many notifications every hour, but I did want to track my activity. I would imagine that most people who buy this product feel similarly about not being glued to tech. However, the app wants you to be invested in it all the time to get your “wellness” score. In addition, the data obtained from the app doesn’t Correctly sync to apple health or other apps. It literally only syncs the step count even though it can track the mileage. I’m Also not a fan of having to manually sync the app with my leaf. If the Leaf is supposed to fit seamlessly into my wardrobe I want the app to also be as seamless in my life. Hopefully upgrading the tech is a high priority item. Until it improves, I recommend this product to others with a “well, it works okay…”
could be improved but ok
annoying that the home page is an ad for a device when I just purchased a device - from you! would prefer to open right to my stats. would also be nice to be able to customize more. for example meditation is not personally a goal of mine but i can't turn it off or name it something different? The wellness score isn't very useful if I'm losing points for something I'm not trying to add to my life. a widget or shortcut to add water would be helpful too, it's a lot of steps right now. I like the simplicity and the design, just find these elements frustrating

I bought their leaf nature in 2015 when it first came out, and been using Bellabeat ever since. But once i put in my password the app (and period diary) completely crashes and won’t even open. Please fix this!
5 years and going strong!
I've had my leaf for about 5 or 6 years now and I'm still loving it. There have been a few hiccups with the app here and there, but they always work themselves out. The fact that I don't have to charge it and change the battery every 6 months is a huge plus! The sleep tracking could be better, but for a fitness tracker, I love how simple it is. The new update has some serious wrinkles to iron out...every time I enter data, I have to restart the app to make my wellness score reflect appropriately. Not a big deal, just annoying and I'm sure it will get updated soon! Can't wait to see the reviews on the new device and potentially upgrade!

The app will not open even after turn phone off and on twice and then I uninstall it and reinstall it and still will not open
App: info stored but not displayed correctly
This is a review for the app, not my Time watch. I really like my watch. I give the app 3 stars because I can see it has my data entries saved, and with some work I can look back and find it, but it is the display that is often inaccurate. 1, After I sync my Time, I have to close out of the app and reopen it to see an accurate display on the dashboard area day-of. 2, when going back to look at previous days, the dashboard display is inaccurate. Most of the time I can click into the topic and actually see my data, but it messes with the display and again will need to close out the app and re-open if I want to see accurate display of the current day. I have hope these will get fixed! It’s not stopping me from using my Time, it’s just little extra things that are small annoyances 😅

App gets worse with every update…
I’ve been increasingly disappointed with each update over the past year or so. The ability to track data gets worse and worse over time! The most disappointing thing I’ve noticed with the most recent update is the “Log A Nap” feature. Need to log a nap of more than 60 minutes? Now you have to log each hour separately as the max “nap length” is now only 60 minutes. Ridiculous and the least user friendly app update I’ve ever had the misfortune of encountering.
It’s nice
I’ve had my Leaf for a month now, so I feel I’ve given it a good trial. It’s pretty, I wear it as a necklace, and it tracks my steps and sleep. Oftentimes I go without my phone so I like that it’s still counting. I would appreciate a bigger focus on sleep. More pages of sleep data, more viewing options for comparisons. Also, more exploration around poor sleep data: the app counts my restless nights as sleep and so “reduces” my stress susceptibility graph thing. One more practical thing: the leaf comes off of the chain fairly easily. I’ve noticed at least five times in the short time I’ve had it. I regularly sleep on my stomach, and in the night I have gotten up and it falls to the floor! So, something for the design team: as a necklace, make it less likely to fall off!
Not feeling the new app
I hate that my app opens with an advertisement for the new device. I’m never going to wear a bracelet. There’s no setting to change the default tab or remove the advertisement for the product I’m not going to buy. Please fix—it’s sooooo annoying!
The app changed
The app use to be simple and you could put in what you wanted and leave out what you wanted. Now it has a wellness score and you have to put everything in. I don’t like the new changes. The leaf it’s self is still great.

I enjoy using leaf app every single day. Period tracker is accurate and sleep patterns help me focus on my sleep which I find very important. Can you please add period symptoms?
Second one was terrible
Had one for a little more than year and it worked fine until it didn’t any longer. Ordered a second and it hasn’t worked. Tech tried to help but I wore it maybe half a dozen times and then tossed it in a drawer
Love
For the most part I love my leaf! While I wish it wasn’t so big because I find it moves around my wrist too easily and if I tighten it it’s too tight then, otherwise it’s awesome. I would like to see a better selection for activities such as dishes and folding laundry though. I know there is the cleaning activity however I don’t find it’s as accurate.
Battery life is about 3 months, no option to pair leaf version
I’ve had my leaf for probably a year. The app will say that the battery is charged but when nothing is tracking and you change the battery, which in itself is difficult to change due to the very very tiny screw sizes, you find that it was the battery that is dead even though the app said it wasn’t. And to sync the leaf to the app you need to double tap the leaf. It goes through periods that it won’t respond to sync, and that’s when you think the battery is dead also, when it’s not. It really could be a great app but there’s so many little issues that it’s annoying. Update: I got a response from Bellabeat that their technical team can tell the battery level if I want to know. “ Also, the technical team can see the exact battery levels on their end, so it's best to rely on their support with fixing the issues. All the best, Bellabeat" They are based in France and it takes a day for the response. How about the app just showing the correct level?
Used to love
I liked this app a lot. It Used to work great when I had my iPhone 8plus. Now that I have a new iphone 12pro, I can’t edit my sleep. It keeps freezing on me.

Love bellabeat app so much, once you start using it, you cannot stop. Sleep tracking is so accurate, sometimes it is even scary I ask myself "HOW DO YOU KNOW?!". Really nice to have leaf. THX!

Truly downloaded the app just to leave this review. If you live in a state where abortions are illegal etc. DO NOT use this app. No matter what the company says about data encryption you can still have this data subpoenaed. That means it is not fully safe!! Use at your own risk but do so knowing this IMPORTANT information.
Steps Off
Everything seems to be working fine except for today Dec 2 the steps no longer functional. Please fix. Thanks. Dec 3 and today the step count is much more accurate so I think it was a wrist placement issue as it was on the side of my arm rather than the top of my wrist. Thank you for your quick response.
App Updates Ruined It
I have purchased two of the Bellabeat Leafs (Leaf Ivy) and I’ve loved them both. But since the app update, syncing to the app is a nightmare. The double tap doesn’t register and it takes forever to sync, often crashing halfway through. I preferred this fitness tracker due to its pretty appearance and functionality but now, I’m just unhappy with it.
Was good now with iPhone 12, not so much
Bellabeat sleep records do not sync at all with my new iPhone 12 Health tracker/consolidator. This is very frustrating. There was no problem with my old iPhone 6. It seems to sync for steps to my iPhone 12

Hey hubby got my the leaf 🍃 for Valentine's Day ❤️after lots of heavy hints! And I love it, and the new updates are making it even better! One thing that would make it better, is the sleep tracking! This week I have been having night shifts etc, so I come back and sleep then sleep later that same night, but it can't track meet re than one lot of sleep! Update: thank you so much for listening to your customer base and adding the nap sleep option! I also love the upgraded period tracker!

Leaf addiction
I have had the leaf now for 6 months and love it! After I figured out that the settings needed to be changed when you changed how you are wearing it, I was set. I wear it everyday as a bracelet (more options there please!) and clipped on my pants when I'm walking and active- it is great and seems to be pretty accurate. I realized how much I liked having it when I lost it in the garden for TWO days I really missed it! This was during a few quite chilly days which included some light snow ...so I wasn't sure if it would still work when I found it. It did! I also like the meditation tool and manually track my sleep as well. I get a lot of questions and compliments about it when people see me wearing it and I always have good things to say. Great product - keep up the good work. 👍🏻
Bummer
I have used this app religiously to track my period since my very first leaf ivy that I had preordered and really depended on it as it was very accurate. As a mail carrier who walks 9 hours a day it is mega important to be prepared. Since the change in design, I cannot trust the app to even be keeping track at all. Currently it says it has no info for this month and doesn’t show last month in a manner I even understand. I am very disappointed in the recent changes and am feeling stressed about having to find and adjust to another app. I don’t understand messing with something that is working- we need accuracy and simplicity over whatever you are going for here.
MyFitnessPal is better
Hello. My boyfriend got me the Bellabeat because I wanted a peripheral to help me with both wellness and weight loss. This seemed preferable because it was a clip-on rather than a watch that wasn’t water proof (now the Versa 2 is out...). The app does VERY little. Maybe if I subscribe it does more, but I already have your product on me. (Odd that I had to choose How to wear it?) I would like to see features that MyFitnessPal does. Track food and calorie intake paralleled to calories burned, track workouts passively rather than me needing to tell it I’m doing a work out when it’s already tracking me?? The period stuff is okay. Seems this all needs a large update. Maybe the later versions are better but so far seems like this device needs to be recalled and refunded worldwide, unless the app gets an update so large it changes the way the data is processed for the better.

Most recent update has completely screwed up my cycle tracking! I’m using this for IVF cycles so I need it to be accurate and now I have to find something else. Considering switching to the Apple Watch even though I loved a nice looking fitness tracker. I’ve had this for 3 years, please fix it!
Leaf Urban -- functional and attractive
I just got the Leaf Urban as a replacement for my Fitbit One, which was losing battery power without warning and apparently isn't supported any more. Since I don't care for wrist trackers (especially ugly plastic ones) I wanted one that could be clipped on. Features I like: The Leaf is attractive! While a bit on the large size for my small frame, it works fine as a clip (which is how I like to wear a tracker most of the time) and it does not bother me once it is on. I will also enjoy it as a pendant now and then. It syncs easily and seems to record steps and sleep quality even more accurately than the One did. I also like the meditation feature and the option to set alarms to warn about inactivity. Plus, it's reassuring to know that it's splash resistant. I am past menopause so don't use the period tracking but I love that this is included since it is such an important aspect of women's health. A few improvements I would like to see -- I'd like to be able to add steps to my count (in case I forget to wear it for a while) and have them show up as steps rather than just extra calories burned; I'd like to be able to track exercise as well as steps with some kind of indicator (i.e. like the little bars used for sleep, steps, etc.) In other words, I don't want to choose between tracking active minutes or steps; I want to track both. I try to get 10,000 steps *plus* a workout multiple times a week and it's nice to see the number of highly active minutes as well as mere steps on a graph. I'd also like to be able to set exercise goals (as on Fitbit). Overall, thank you for an excellent product and I will look forward to continued improvement.
Not useful for tracking period cycle
The only thing I use this app for is to track my period, and it used to be effective for that, but now that feature is garbage. Even their latest update to fix whatever bug there was seems to have made it worse. I tried to enter the dates for my latest period and got a “period cannot start during another cycle” error message, though there was no overlap that I could see. I also don’t see why they would impose strict parameters when many women have irregular periods or bleeding/spotting that they would still like to track for health reasons. I gave it two stars instead of one bc I haven’t really used the other features of the app, which might redeem it. Oh, also, the last time I tried to use my leaf, it was pretty terrible at accurately measuring exercise and steps and transmitting them to my app.
Loved it until it suddenly stopped working.
I loved my leaf and used every aspect of it except the meditation part for well over a year. Received many compliments on it, found it was accurate with activity tracking and sleep tracking as well. My family is complete, so am not concerned with ovulation, but am having issues with my period, so I found the app great for keeping track of that. It never got wet, dropped or damaged. Tried changing the battery a couple of times. It just stopped working.
