On the way to be the best Gin app
Great app, design, collection. But when searching for what gin to buy, there are almost 5K option with no search/filter option, only sorted alphabetically. At least a sort by rating option would be great to see the ones with higher rating. Following that if we could filter the gins such as “smoked” ones, it would be very useful
Keine Reaktion
Keine Reaktion auf Vorschläge oder Änderungen. Gin fehlt, keine Reaktion. Tonic hinzufügen, keine Reaktion. Wo bleibt der Sinn?
Great app! But have I an idea…
Love this app! Great for learning and finding out what goes perfectly with a gin and it’s great for serving when hosting/ inviting people round. I would love something that when you click on a tonic (for example), the gins that you’ve added to your cabinet would come up first rather than scrolling through seeing if something works. Otherwise really useful app and will continue to use in the future!
UPDATE!!!!
Its getting old!
Fairly disappointing
I was REALLY looking forward to this app to maintain my inventory and rate them (better than an Excel sheet). It’s mostly better than an Excel sheet, but by inly so much. * As I started entering my collection, I came across one that couldn’t be found, then another, then another. In total: 6 of mine were not found. While one of them is from a smaller distillery, so I understand that, the others were not. This includes a flavor of Tanqueray and one of Hendrick’s. * There is no way to add a Gin that’s not in their list, nor upload a photo… let alone a way to reach out to the author. * it would also be nice to have couple status options for gins in your virtual cabinet, such as Available, Low, Empty. * Community: Why not have a way to share your Cabinet/profile with friends? (which would encourage others to download the app. I’m sure I will come up with more, but in the first 30 minutes of using the app, that’s my initial finding.
Great app for the gin lover
No gin left unturned
Was soll das Ganze dann?
Search feature
Great app. For me, being able to search by country would be a great addition.
Not updated
Actually a good app - but it isn’t updated and you can’t provide input for new versions.
Sehr schade.
Fab!!
One of the best apps I’ve ever downloaded! So helpful and the variety is amazing 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Veraltete App
Kein Update seit 2016. Ich wechsle....
Great app but needs updating
This is a fab app with so many gins to choose from however it doesn’t seem to have been updated in 4 years which is what’s letting it down. With so many gins being released in those 4 years it’s be fantastic to have an updated version with more recent releases
Could be even better
This is a great app but it isn’t kept up to date unfortunately. I have a large gin collection which I keep adding to and try find the gins on here but no luck! If it was kept up to date it would be perfect.
Love this app!!
Very useful for gin lovers!! Would be great if we could add friends on the app to compare their collections and reviews and view their wish lists.
Veraltet
Great app but no updates!
Such a great app and use it religiously but no updates have been had in years and no responses to any recommendations sent. I have a large gin collection but many of them are not showing on this app. Disappointing but still use this and recommend to friends & family.
Needs improving :/
Needs to include more gins. So many gins I’ve had and not been able to register and they’re not even obscure. 2 Whitley Neil ones and a Bombay sapphire one all not on the app. Also agree with another review about having the social element like untappd!
Dated I’m afraid.
This used to be amazing but over the last 6-9 months it hasn’t been able to keep pace with the newer gins on the market- gutted as it was my go to app for all things gin and mixers and garnishes
Great clear app!
Great app, clean look and easy to use. Cabinet is partially helpful as is the garnishes. Just what you need to navigate the increasingly complex world of gin!
Letztes Update 4 Jahre her
Nearly 5 stars
LOVE this app - would be 5 stars if you could see how many reviews a gin has had to help understand what the star rating is made up of ☺️ other than that I love the perfect match recommendations and having the info about a gin at my finger tips
Not Updating info anymore?
I’m disappointed as there have been no new updates for over a year? Is this app being manned? Never respond to my emails. I am a member of a successful gin club - originally, members used to regularly mention this app but are now aware that it seems to have stopped? Can anyone elaborate?
Leider u.a. Noch nicht auf iPhone 11 Display angepasst usw.
Great
Brilliant app. Could be made better if only you could search your gins (cabinet) once you have found the garnish. It would just help you work out from the garnishes you have available which of your gins would work best. Apart from that very useful and user friendly with a huge database.
Hasn’t been updated for years
Was a good app but now is way out of date. So many Gins missing.
Needs more features!
An amazing start, the producers should be proud of themselves!! Two things I think this app needs are: A way of viewing the highest/lowest rated gins, most popular gins, fruity, dry, floral etc. This would be amazing. Also, when you ‘like’ a gin, you should be able to get a list of gins that are related to the ones you have liked. A list tailored to your preferences. However, this app is great so far and is like a gin bible!
Als Datenbank enttäuschend
Danke, dass es die App gibt. Aber die Suchfunktion ist leider nur rudimentär. Hier mal zB Vivino gegenchecken. Warum keine Anzahl Bewertungen? Warum keine Texte? Warum keine Suchfunktion nach „Zutaten“ ? Naja. VG
Not updated often enough
I love gin and this app is very well done. However over half of my gin collection isn’t even on the app, they just don’t keep it updated enough.
Great App!
I’m a manger of a cocktail bar in scotland and I love using this app. Really helpful for my expanding gin collection. Used this app when I was creating a new gin list for the new menu. Just wish there was an option to search for country of origin.
Limited database
I have a good collection of quality gins. Most aren’t featured in this app. And when you suggest one for inclusion, it just disappears into the ether. Not impressed
Mainly good
A good, easy to use app but needs an update as so many more gins now
Keep this going!
As a gin lover, kept wondering, “why didn’t I think of this?” This is an app with real promise. Add in the ability to connect with other users, tasting notes, review counter, the ability to submit new gins and you’ve got the makings of a good thing. Keep it going!
Almost there!
Fantastic app. But it really needs 'Friends' feature and an option to compare your and your friends' ratings/collections etc.
Very Poor
Terrible App. Woefully few gins listed. No way of adding a new gin and no response when messaging the developers to include other gins. Why does rating start from 6 and is not weighted? You can’t see how many reviews have been given. Too much scope for negative scoring, why is this not based on a conventional rating system? No response to any messages. A poor app and a poor experience.
Good but could be so much better
Some suggestions- make the gins searchable via tasting note (floral, spicy, botanical etc) When searching for garnishes and tonics, put the gins that are already in your cabinet at the top so those can be found first.
Nice but not enough
Nice list and set up, but without the option to save personal tasting notes, it leaves something to be desired.
Perfect
Would love a version for Vodkas, Whiskeys and Rums!
Missing data
Nicely designed app, but lots of missing data: “No perfect serve”, too bad...
A good start
This is a beautiful looking app which lets you search, bookmark, rate and buy a large variety of gins. However, it needs to include a social element like Untappd does for beer. Being able to follow gin lovers and friends as well as being able to check in to various locations so you know where you sampled each particular gin would really enhance it in my opinion.
Am I missing something?
From what I can see, you can only search for something you already know about. That's great if you're familiar with n number of gins already, but what if you're knowledge of gin is limited? How about being able to browse through this '1100+' list of gins and see what makes each distinctive? As it is, it doesn't really help me expand beyond the few gins I already know.
Excellent!
Such a lovely little app, so handy to have for a gin lover such as myself. Love the wishlist feature!
Used & rated
Leuke app maar "the list is long but incomplete" Spijtig genoeg vaak gin's tegengekomen zonder perfect serve, zonder bijhorende tonic...
Great app, but room for improvement
I really love this app in terms of coverage of gins and how you can easily find good combinations. I would however see improvements in linking up accounts with group of friends, you have one stop shop of finding new combinations and quickly share with your mates. Also, it would be interesting if people could comment with their ratings, give a more personal flavour to the gins. But overall, already a great app!
Please, develop app further!
I'm tuned-in...waiting for the 1st database-update! Suggestions: (1) allow user to keep a "tasted" list of the gins in the database...along with the various & suggested perfect-serves; (2) allow user to rate the gin & add descriptive note; (3) allow user to rate suggested perfect serves...and maintain history of pairings tasted; (4) add interactivity As a user, I want to develop, maintain & reference...a list of what I've tasted. Further, I'd like to develop a wish-list of what I hope to taste in the future! ...inspired by what I read about while perusing the app.
