Support no longer exists
The email listed for support on the app store is no longer in service and returns a bounce back. The app randomly disconnects from trakt, completely losing information without notice and tract support hasn’t responded to multiple emails for support over three weeks. I rebuilt my data on this app once after a massive bug deleted huge chunks, but this clearly is time to jump ship to a functional and supported app.
Improvements are finally making this app what it should have always been.
Update 6: The creator messaged back on Twitter to let those who reported the issue know he'd resolved it (very quickly). I confirmed it's back to working very well as expected. Update 5: I'm now on iOS 26. The app has worked well and I increased my rating to reflect as much, but it has one again started to see stability issues. Whenever adding or deleting a series the app crashes. Hopefully this is something they quickly fix and I can once again increase the rating. Still the best app out there for tv show tracking but it also still could be much better. Update 4: I keep having to reduce my rating. After iOS 13 this app is trash. It stalls when marking things as watched. It is now crashing and that is after it marked everything not mine as unwatched. So now I'm lost on things I still have to watch. So what's the point?!? I want to like this app. For the lounge of God. Fix it already!!!! Update 3: They fixed the crashing issue and much to my surprise after saying earlier that they simply wouldn't do landscape mode because it was "so broken" they've finally decided to add it for both iPad and iPhone. The app is much better overall now. Their Support staff is still lacking and does not reply (running 1/3 times I've contacted them). Update 2: Newest version crashes constantly. Now near unusable. Keeps getting worse somehow!!! Update: Now some shows are continuously coming back as unwatched even after meeting them watched dozens of times. I'm about done with this app. I use this on both my phone and iPad. The decision to remove landscape mode on iPads because "it was so broken and was a quick port to the iPad" is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. Fix the program correctly don't limit it. This shows a total lack of commitment to the program. Also it is very annoying you can't change time zones still to reflect the proper show times. Get it together guys. This could be a great five star app if you did.

Missing Features
I love this app to keep track of TV shows, but one thing it is missing is the ability to mark all episodes as watched or mark certain seasons as watched.

Seems like this app is no longer in service, having lost most working server connections. A real shame as it remains my very favorite implementation of a Trakt-compatible interface. But currently it won’t even load its “discover” start-up screen, and it crashes if I try to add anything to my show list (and this whether it’s linked to Trakt or not, on multiple devices). Unless the developer returns to service the app, seems like it may finally be dead for good. Update: Seems like it’s back? Hope it lasts!

I was happy with the app for the most part but out of a sudden (app update?) several hundred shows I keep in it got messed up beyond recognition and Trakt is of no use to fix it.

The trakt.tv sync is abysmal. Watched episodes come back as unwatched 24 hrs later. Shows don’t archive. This thing is junk now.
Please Fix Archiving!
I love this app but it’s having trouble syncing lately to my Trakt and archiving is undoing. Update: Still happening May 2026. Archived shows no longer archived.

UPDATE: The app is now working correctly again. Back to 5 stars with big thanks to the developer! PREVIOUS REVIEW: Can’t archive or unarchive shows any more - when I do, the app crashes every time. I’ve used this app for many years, have tried others, but this one’s always been the best. Sad to see it abandoned. Wouldn’t mind paying so the developer could keep it working.

Abandoned app
I’ve been using this app for a very long time, at least 8 years. It used to be amazing but recently- over the last year or so, it’s gone downhill. Tv shows that I archive always come back to the active section as soon as it’s refreshed. Furthermore, episodes that I’ve marked as watch will unselect themselves so I need to remark them as watched. It’s disappointing to see the developers have just abandoned it.

I've tweeted at the developer, and still no response. Hopefully they fix this asap.
Not Happy!
As of this morning, the app just crashes completely every time you try to open it. It launches briefly, then just crashes! Please fix ASAP!
Broken
Broken (again). It’s impossible to add new shows now as it crashes as soon as I try to add one. This app has been experiencing this kind thing in the past, too. On two separate occasions, the app wouldn’t launch and it required a complete uninstall and reinstall which erase the entire watch history and losing that data. The developer fixed those but now the app is crashing again when attempting to add new shows, but it might never be fixed now as the app is probably abandonware now.

Was Excellent
I did love it until about 2 or more months ago when anything I’d do including marking episodes watched or moving finished shows to archive, upon reopening the app, it resets any of the inputs I’ve made. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling and using backup log, very reluctant to re-add everything and start from fresh. Previous review: Love it, great to help me keep track of the shows I watch and find new ones to check out.
Needs an update
This is my go to app to keep track of my TV shows. Fast, accurate and works very well. Only thing now the app crashes after a few seconds of using it. Started having after I updated my iOS to 26. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.
Love it! Just a few issues for me
I’m really enjoying this and it definitely helps me keep track of what I’m watching. But there are a few things that I think should get fixed. Sometimes when I try and archive something when it refresh or close the app it gets puts back into the what I’m watching section. Slightly annoying to have to change that every time I open the app.
Do not BUY, Abandoned App
This was one of the best tv show tracking apps but it’s been abandoned now. Last update was 2 years a go and lot of the features no longer work. Also the app crashes constantly. Essentially it’s become a useless app. Don’t waste your money.
Good App for free
This would get 5/5 stars if it didn’t keep asking me to re-log back into Trakt. Every couple days i have to reconnect it. Mildly annoying. Also sometimes when i search a show, it’ll find it, but then won’t let me add it.
Beautiful app, bad customer support.
The app hasn’t been working for the past week or so, whenever I mark something as watched it gets unmarked when I close the app. And there’s nowhere to contact customer support for help. The app doesn’t get updated frequently either
Shows Not Archiving
I have been using ShowPal for the past 8 years, back when it used to be called ‘iShows’, and was extremely happy with the app. Lately, I feel due to the lack of updates I have been facing many bugs in the app. I am no longer able to archive shows. Whenever I archive them they just glitch and revert back to my ‘Active Shows’ dashboard. Would love it if this issue could be resolved!

Needs help- update Oct 29 2024
Recently a bunch of my old shows started showing as unwatched, thousands of episodes of tv, and because it’s sporadic and not the whole show there isn’t an easy way to manually fix it. Clicked the need support button and it goes to a dead link. Hopefully this will be fixed soon… but I’m sure all my old data will be gone and I’ll have to manually complete everything again Edit: October 29 2024: issue happening again where once you select viewed, the information resets as soon as you exit the app. Tried to go to support link from here and you get “403 FORBIDDEN” error

Crashing is getting out of hand
I used to love this app , but now all it does is crash. I guess I have to switch to another . It’s sad because I have had it for years .
Does it well
Great app for keeping track of all my tv shows. The updated app is very good. My only complaint is you can’t move the shows in the feed. Sometimes I might not watch a show for a while and might want to push it to last but you can’t do that any more. Otherwise it does what it does very well

Best tv tracker app
One of the nest tv tracker app I’ve used. In future update, it would be great if the app can use trakt default feature instead of using a seperate list for this app. Also, a little tutorial on the gestures and other features would be nice.
App Abandoned
This was the best app for easily tracking shows. You could easily mark an episode as watched and get a clean interface. Now the app crashes when opened. Completely useless. It will be missed.

Won’t let me login. I tried several time and it did the same thing over and over.
Stopped working
On all devices has now stopped loading any recommendations, trending etc. Just grey tiles on the screen with no names. Will only load shows I’ve previously saved. Deleted and redone loaded. No joy.
episodes becoming unselected
this app is great other than the fact that episodes become unselected frequently, almost each time I open the app. episodes I’ve marked as watched are deselected! seems to be the same shows too. please fix this thanks!!
Easy and on point
This is well organized and keeps me organized which I am now. Totally love this I have even discovered shows I would not have normally come across, also have not experienced any technical issues
No support option
Please fix. When I search for a show it’s greyed out and I can’t add it. If I can add it, I have to add it to all my devices it doesn’t sync like it used to
Just needs an ‘order by unseen episodes’ function
Ties in well to Trakt, looks good and easy to use. Two improvements I could recommend are 1) a way to separate out ‘new’ shows which haven’t been released yet from those I just haven’t started watching and 2) the ability to order programs by the amount of unseen episodes, then it would be 5 stars.

Good nice clean interface, reliable app, slightly on the expensive side when comparing to other similar apps (some of them are for free). Tutorial is not working. No direct contact to developer hence feedback cannot be sent. Notifications does not work as per local air time (it looks that they are working as per original air time - which for me is 02.00 in the night). Also what in my opinion is the biggest downfall of this app is the split of shows into three tabs (favourites, watched and archive) - this is very confusing, what is where, which notifications are working and which not, from which tabs. This is not required as it unnecessary overcomplicate things. It would be much more useful and have better user experience if there will be only two tabs (currently watching & upcoming shows with correctly working notification. Currently it’s not worth paying for it. Also as per other users feedback it looks that there is an issue with syncing to Trakt.

This is my favorite tv tracker, and I’ve tried them all. Simple, clean, attractive, satisfying to check things off as we watch.

For some reason, everytime I archive the show I have finished watching, it remains on the active tv shows page, & recently it doesn't mark the episodes I watch, & every episode I rate isn't being saved, and I'm tired of the app not working because I want to see it do well, but it's no longer functional

What went wrong
I have been using this app and even paid for full content for over a year , I had listed hundred shows and it was all working brilliantly until last week , when the app crashed , all my show that I’d watch suddenly come back as I watched , the app opened then closed , worked then didn’t work , it such a mess , now I’ve had to delete cause it just will not work , what went wrong.
Needs Work
I’ve been using this app for a while and, unlike a lot of other reviewers, I quite like the interface. What I don’t like however is when I mark an episode as being seen and then check back later to find it’s still showing as unseen. If it didn’t sync with Trakt.tv then it would merely be a minor nuisance. Given that it does though makes it a royal pain for someone like me. I like occasionally look at Trakt.tv to see what I watched on a given day but now the data is unreliable because this app is unreliable. If you’re thinking of purchasing then I’d hold off until the developers have made the app more reliable.
