Notifications are back!
So happy the new update dropped. Did I watch way less TV when it wasn’t 100% working? Yes. But TV is back now with Hobi reminders just in time for fall. Thank you, Hobi! I’ll just do push ups while the episodes are on or something. Balance it all out.
Messy
The amount of adds is annoying especially every time the app is opened. The feature of marking things as watched is also so clunky and messy that it legitimately gets frustrating. Only here cuz tv time died
Love but needs one update! Please HOBI!!
I love this app however i wish that when a show comes out with a new season it bumps it back up to your most recent watching. I have to scroll down or search to find the show again.
Stop asking me to pay for premium!
I like the app however every single time I open it up, the ad to “upgrade to premium” appears. I would absolutely love it if there was a way to STOP that from happening every time I use the app. Please fix this! Thanks!!!
App Issues
Updated the app to version 3.0 and subscribed to the premium version. The watchlist / TV tab does not refresh correctly - constantly getting the “something went wrong” page. Also, marking an episode as watched takes the app a long time to update. The Watchlist / Movie tab also does not refresh correctly - after marking a movie as watched the remaining group of movies does not refresh to the top of the page. The actor / actress credits page with their credits cannot be sorted by release date - all of their respective credits are out of order making it difficult to locate titles to track. In addition some of their credits are missing from their respective profiles. The profile / my tv shows watched tv shows broken down by “airing, waiting, ended” however the shows cannot be further sorted either by alphabetical or by date/year. The profile / my movies page have all movies watched and not watched lumped together and cannot be separated by watched or not watched and additionally also cannot be further sorted alphabetically or by date. The profile / Archive page also does not allow for sorting as well. Also, can you please advise why the “Archive” page is not in the “My TV” page with the rest of the shows?

Why did you all remove the find new shows?
How am I supposed to keep using your app if I can’t find new shows easily like the last version had. Loved the new/upcoming shows that I had yet to add to my list, they were easy to find now it’s all this “suggested” showing me the same stuff I already have added. Let me find new shows on the app, please! Everything else is fine-ish except for that.
Nice update…but
Nice that movies are now included. But we can no longer see where the series can be watched. Is it on Apple, Netflix, Prime, Hulu? Please bring that back. A great feature would be to allow us to type a short note that is only on our device.
Paid Promo on Each Launch
I understand that building app and maintaining it is not cheap at all. However having this paid promo on each launch is extremely annoying UX. I could even help with AB testing it if needed but for sure it is hyper annoying and i am very close to abandoning the app.

I really hate this update. Too many things changed at once, everything is harder to navigate, and we don’t need movies added in. I had over 700 shows logged and now it shows I’ve only watched 94 shows?! What happened to the rest of it? The last version was way better. Please fix it

Why not add a “Rewatch” button? So we can log how many times we have watched our favorite show or a specific episode of a series? And to even make that more interesting, you can show the most rewatched shows anonymously. Also, this app REALLY needs a “Director page” so we can find similar movies from the director we like. And also make adding new movies to “watched” section easier. For example if i have recently watched 10 movies of one director, it would be much easier for me to just go to that director page, and add the movies i just watched, instead of searching them one by one.
Movies added?
The update says they added movies. Well, they don’t tell you how to watch them. Also support brings up a note saying the page of does not exist.
Disappointing update
Used to be amazing, snappy with a couple a features missing. However, now it got an update, everything is slower/less smooth, everything is smaller including checkboxes, certain views look worse despite more “modern”, now the price is per month/year and the pop up shows up EVERY TIME YOU OPEN THE APP. And lastly, the only feature I wanted still isn’t here.
New favorite app
I lost my old tv app and was sad but then found Hobi and I love it!
Updated app is terrible
The new update made the app super slow, they changed the way to swipe an episode as seen. It requires internet connection all the time and takes ages to load. Truly terrible experience, bring back the old app please
Keeps me on track…but
I was a TV Time user. What I really liked about that was the comments that I and others made about episodes. I miss that. What I like about Hobi is I can know what episode I have yet to watch. I watch quite a few during the Fall/Winter and I have difficulty keeping track. This sure makes it easy. I just miss the episode chats.
Slow, slow,slow
Slow to mark anything watched. Or search. Or anything else. Nearly unusable. Probably won’t pay after trial period.
Great App!!
One suggestion though…The only thing missing is letting us know which platform the show is on. Everything else is perfect and well needed.

The concept is great, but the app constantly crashes on my iPhone 17. Until they fix that it’s not really a useful application.

Simple Features no Longer Free
You can no longer sort your added tv shows by newest episodes. It is now a paid feature. I previously used this app to keep up with my current tv shows but needing a subscription for what was a free sort feature makes the app kinda barely useful now. Save your phone space and just use the Trakt website in your browser.
“Add Movie” ERROR
I have trouble add films in my watchlist. After selecting “add movie” the subscription list pops up
Do not update to version 3
Version 3 has more bugs than any app I have ever encountered. Took years to release and to be honest, wished I stayed on version 2. Version 3 needs binning and update everyone back to version 2
Too pricey!
I got Hobi to replace the free versions of TV Time. I like the app but think the pricing is out of whack. Not sure how they evolved from $10 for lifetime to $25 annually is a few years. Pretty much the only reason I’d upgrade to premium versions would be for the ability to sort alphabetically. Don’t see it happening at the quoted price.
pretty but lacking
i really wish you could sort between watched and not watched in the collection :( it gets hard to keep track of and understand when everything is all together. good app i just yearn for filters!!!
V3 looks good, but just removed features and skyrocketed prices
You can no longer sort TV shows by anything other than recently watched unless you pay their latest price hike for premium. The biggest issue with V3 is the developer publicly lying about keeping all free features the same from V2 to V3 while paywalling all sorting options. On top of that, premium used to be $10 for life, V3 changed that to $20/yr without warning. It’s definitely not worth it for free users now, and do you really want to risk paying for premium when developers have shown they will be dishonest, raising prices without warning and removing features? You’re better off finding any other dime-a-dozen TV tracking app. And Eran, even though you banned me from the forum after asking you to keep your word, I’ll happily change this 1-star to a 5-star and purchase premium if you restore the free sorting option like you publicly stated would remain free.
Came from TV Time
Moved from TV time and of all the tracking apps I must say this seems to be the closest to what we had. But there are a few features I would love to have. 1. A way to sort based on shows that I have started watching and those not started. On watchlist tab. 2. Way to find new shows and movies. Seeing new upcoming and popular. Happy to have found this app!!
A Few Kinks
Since updating to Hobi 3, there are many kinks. The sort feature no longer works. Shows seem to be randomly sorted. Also having an issue checking off when an episode has been watched. Get error message - Episode unavailable, check your connection.
Recent update
Not happy about the sort options being locked to recently watched as the default in the recent update. Not sure if it was locked before this but the default was previously alphabetical which is preferable. I really don't want to spend $10/mo. Please unlock the alphabetical sort option.

I’ve been using for years to keep track while using streaming- the new upgrades are very helpful!
They took my money!
I bought their lifetime subscription for $10, but just a few days later my subscription suddenly disappeared after the app updated, to make things worse, there was no costumer support available to contact!
Worth it but….
A very good app and worth downloading. Would get 5 stars but found a mishap. Tried to find a way to let them know, but couldn’t find a link to message them. They have a show listed ( Canadian tv show) as end, no longer. On line and on tv ( the network that airs the show) they are asking for people to signup for the new up coming season. Search on line and everyone is listening the show as still on.
New isn't better
This was one of the best apps I had ever seen, clean simple interface. The new update ruined that, it is cluttered and a mess.
Glitchy Update
Hobi is very useful but latest update is glitchy. The app keeps crashing. How long will I have to deal with the upgrade to premium screen? The series no longer say what network they’re on so I have to guess. It would be great if the showtimes could be set for my country and time zone. Also would be cool if release dates were for my country. I’ve tried in the past to contact app tech support but no joy, so I’m trying indirectly through this review. I wouldn’t mind upgrading to premium but I want to be assured the glitches are fixed and I can set my country and time zone for receiving series and episode release dates—and please say what network the series are available on. Hope to hear back. Thanks!
Best TV Tracker on App Store
I moved to Hobi after TV Time shut down. I tried multiple other apps for tracking TV shows, but none of them are as good as Hobi. I do wish there was an obvious way to mark shows as abandoned though.
The older version was better
You took away the best feature and bombard us with a subscription fee. I want the old version back.

MISSING SHOWS
I like the colours. The user face is ok. Unfortunately this would get better ratings if the shows were on it. Especially since I paid for the app and it’s up to date. Y: The Last Man Standing is a recent enough FX show that it should be in there. Going to use TV TIME instead.

Not saving shows
I’m having a few issues with the app, I bought the premium version of the app but it hasn’t changed from the original version,it’s still showing advertisements and not saving my shows after I leave the page. I’ve tried to restore the app but nothing happens and it is starting to get annoying and frustrating trying to get the app working again the way it should.
