This app was barely functional to begin with, but now it’s been pushing ads that seem spammy and are super disruptive to the user experience. It’s not safe or trustworthy. No thank you.

I have been using this app for over a year and it is very helpful with reminding me to remove and insert my ring. I have it 4 starts because I pay the annual plan and still get ads.
Not very user friendly
The app can be kind of hard to work with. A lot of things don’t really work if I try to update something in the past, it’ll mess everything up on the app
Limited schedule editing options, errors, but low cost and a nice minimalist design
I struggled with this app for quite a while. At first, the problems came from the limited functionality of the free version – you could only change the schedule by resetting it. In the paid version, you can adjust the schedule, but this feature doesn’t always work as expected. For example, say you remove the ring one day later than planned. You open the app, and a pop-up banner appears asking if you’ve removed the ring. You can’t close this banner and mark the removal later in the calendar tab. The paid version gives you options like “removed as scheduled,” “removed on another day,” “skipped break,” and, I think, also “shortened cycle”. You choose “removed on another day” to mark that it was a day late. After selecting this option, you can’t pick another day, the screen only shows the date when the ring was supposed to be removed. You can’t choose another date or close the window; the only option is to agree, which records the wrong removal day. This problem could be ignored if the app allowed you to change the removal day in the calendar, but that option doesn’t exist. If the removal day was yesterday and the calendar now shows a break, you can choose “skip break,” “shorten break,” or “insert new ring.” But there’s no option to “extend break” or change the removal day. If you need to edit earlier dates (for example, if your schedule changed before and you forgot to record it), you’ll get a message saying “date in past. You could not change ring usages in the past.” On one hand, that’s logical, but on the other, it’s very inconvenient – the app doesn’t let you make corrections in real time and forces you to stick to the preset schedule, even when you need to record different dates. In the end, you have to reset the cycle, just like in the free version, and when you do that, you lose your cycle history. On the positive side, the paid version is inexpensive. If you always strictly follow your schedule and don’t need flexibility, this app is a perfect option. And the minimalist design with the dark theme is also nice. I hope this review helps fix the bug, but as for me, I’ve decided to switch to another app due to a ton of small irritating inconveniences

Reminders messed up
This app has been consistent with sending me notifications of exactly when to take my ring in and out for years but then one month I did not receive any reminders and realized I should have taken my ring out over a week prior. After messing with my settings I realized now you have to PAY for the notifications. Ridiculous, use another app or track it yourself in your calendar.
App öffnet sich nicht mehr

Not the best
I use the app really just to keep track of the days. When it notifies me I need to insert a new ring it glitches and never actually allows me to update it for that day. Then with the dairy I can never actually document for the day of if I wanted to. I can only document past days.

app stopped working
I’ve been using this app for the past 6 years and it has its issues in terms of notifications but i would just regularly check the app to make sure i was staying on track with my ring dates. However, this most recent update messed everything up!! the app won’t even open up for me and immediately forces out as soon as i click on it. Now i’m not sure what day i’m supposed to take my ring out bc i relied on this app for my dates and it won’t even open! My phone is also up to the latest IOS. The latest ring app update ruined the app. very frustrating and disappointing , especially because i did pay for it.

Make sure to read these reviews before trusting this app for your birth control. According to other reviews this happens a lot. It sent me a notification to take my ring out. When I opened the app, it said I still had 9 days to go.

Had this app for years and used it reliably. The app has since completely stopped working and it won't even open up so I can see when I need to remove .
Used to be perfect
This is the only app that I really like for this, but lately it’s really been screwing up my cycles and not reminding me at the proper times to insert & remove, please please fix this... obviously it’s very important for us to get it right..

you literally have to pay to do anything. it’s ridiculous. birth control is hard enough to navigate and this app doesn’t make it an easier.
Periods shouldn’t have ads
This is a great app, with excellent visual aids for remembering the timing of your ring. But the ads are the absolute worst. I need to know how to time my birth control, not how to gamify my life. I cannot handle having to wait for an extremely long ad to play when I just need to know whether or not to take my ring out.

Purtroppo mi è poco utile. Su prescrizione della dottoressa faccio la pausa di quattro giorni ogni 2 anelli (sarebbe quindi un 21 gg + 21 gg + 4 giorni di pausa). Non è possibile impostare tale modalità. Spero venga presto aggiunta, per adesso sono soldi buttati.
Suggested Change to the App
I love this app. However I accidentally logged the wrong date for the removal of my ring. Now I am off track on the calendar; I still take it out on the correct date. The app should allow you to correct the date in case of an error in logging.

So i genuinely love this app!! i just recently got my ring and this helps me to remember when to take it out and do a new one :D i also have very bad memory so i highly recommend this one! and the subscription is only 99¢.. a month i mean plus tax..? but its so doable

Für die Wechseljahres finde ich, das die App eher nicht geeignet ist, da man nur 6 Zyklen speichern und dokumentieren kann. Wenn das über mehrere Jahre geht. Muss man mit der Hand wieder einen Kalender bekritzeln. Vielleicht könntet ihr das ändern. Ansonsten ist die App wunderbar. Vielen Dank

I like the app, but I’m having an issue with the settings the scroll to change setting isn’t visible so I have to guess what numbers I’m choosing. It’s real annoying. I even paid for the monthly thinking it will fix the issue it didn’t. Please help

Erased history
This app erased my history twice now. It’ll work fine for a couple months then all of a sudden ask when was the last time I replaced my ring. I don’t know?? That’s literally the apps job lol. Switching to a different app 🫡

Worked great for a short time
This app was working well, but recently something changed. I need to be able to change my cycles between 3 weeks to 3 weeks and a break week, since I don’t keep a set schedule. There used to be an option but it doesn’t come up for me anymore. Its the one thing almost no app can seem to get right :-(
What happened.
I purchased this app a few years back and it was great but this month, I didn’t receive a reminder and messed up my cycle. I’m going to have to look into another app. So unfortunate!

It was fine until it wasn’t
Idk what happened, but 2 months ago this app stopped sending me notifications. I have relied on this app to remind me about my ring for the last 7 years, so when I didn’t get my reminder 2 months ago I didn’t remove my ring for a whole week. Messed everything up. Still messed up. I’m getting rid of the app after giving it 2 more months to work properly, but I should’ve received my reminder at 8 AM this morning and I didn’t. Over it. Just put “ring in”/“ring out” reminders in your calendar. It’s not worth the risk, I’ve been a mess for 2 months and now I’m vindictive. Don’t use the app.
Alerts stopped coming in
The app worked great until sometime last year when it just stopped giving me alerts that it was time to take the ring out. I’ve tried checking all the notification settings on both my phone and the app, and I reset it a couple months ago. Didn’t make difference.

This app stopped working during start up. They said that they fixed that bug, but the app still will not open. I relied on that data, and now I have no way to access it.

Was perfect.
This app used to be great. I purchased it a few years ago and it was a savior when it came to reminding me each month. Lately my reminders don’t pop up as they should and because I rely on it, it’s messed my cycles up pretty bad the last few months. I ended up having to set reminders myself in my calendar. Ive tried to reset it and the same thing happens. This should be looked into.

I like it, but it’s got bugs.
I’ve been using this app for over a year. The one big issue I’ve found is that it sends ring remove/insert notifications at the wrong times. This last cycle it sent it the day before, and I didn’t realize, removing my ring. It has also sent them when I still have 17+ days before removal. It’s annoying to have to double check the reminders.

Doesn’t do what it’s supposed to
The app told me to take out my nuvaring 10 days early and it threw everything off. I used the app for a while and never had any issues, but now it doesn’t even work for me. I highly recommend getting a different app to keep track of your nuvaring.
Needs work
I just downloaded the app and everything was going well util I didn’t see an option to add notes on the days that have passed.. i click on the dates but nothing pops up to prompt me to add note for that day or anything.
