False Advertising
The app advertises per-drum step lengths, but each are forcibly retriggered at the global pattern loop. This causes unintended triggers and makes basic programming impossible. I want my 15$ back!
Great But Glitchy, workable, but improvable.
Totally great to compose with, but there are a few issues. First, after the recent update, the effects may or may not work at all (Particularly envelope). Another issue is exporting: separating bass and drums is not easy. Muting one or the other doesn’t work, nor does turning them off. Nor does exporting them individually via the app design work. You literally have to copy the project two additional times and delete each copy down to what you want to have in your recorded track—not workflow compatible, but at least it is a workaround. It isn’t my device, either—it has remained an issue across ipads from Mini to Air to Pro. But overall, it lets me compose in chunks and hear multiple parts at once, which is a great baseline. Aside from these, a few excellent improvements would be to allow X4 rather than simply X2 (8/4) measures. This would greatly expand the app’s usability and allow it to actually be a self-contained solution for bass and drums that performed at a higher level.
Laggy and Buggy
I loved DM1 and was expecting a nice iCloud sync but the app is soo slow and so buggy. I trust the team to be able to fix it !
It's a 10/10 standalone drum machine but has multiple issues as a VST
I often have problems to get DM10 to correctly sync to Logic's internal clock. Right now I'm battling it so the pattern actually starts at 1st beat, for some strange reason it wants to begin at 1-3 even when Logic's playhead is on 1-1. Also when trying to bounce with it Logic crashes. I have to first bounce the track to audio file and then disable the DM10 track so my project can be bounced without crashing Logic. It's an amazing app but sadly with issues
the best drum machine
and always getting better! one big thing id request is the ability to write drum patterns in real time without and without quantization, like we did on drum machines in the 80s. that and the defining feature of the Roland R8- a humanizing function to subtly add timing and velocity “errors” like a real person might do

Not that different from DM1 but a good value
The app does not feel that much different from the original DM1, despite all its new features. It feels like very early days of iOS music apps. That’s because of its rigid grid and no ability to create patterns that don’t sound robotic. Ability to record non quantized notes or at least ability to offset steps’ timing is what sets modern sequencer apps apart.

Midi still is no good
App is great expect when I’m using a hardware midi sequencer it glitches bad and velocity hits are all over the place . It’s fun stand alone but kinda pointless for what I bought it for
Super fun drum app
First, this drum app is not super sophisticated with micro-timing and advanced performance features,*but* it is packed with a massive amount of pre-made drumkits and very good MIDI export/import and AUv3 abilities. If you’re looking to experiment, jam, hav fun, and be creative, this app has a lot to offer. I have several excellent drum apps with more features, but I keep going back to this one for a good time, and zero stress and a very quick workflow. It has also continued to get fixes and many new features recently and the developer has been very responsive and great to interact with, and for me that’s significant.

Ziemlich grandiose Enttäuschung, speziell wie diese Nachfolge-App angekündigt wurde. Habe vor kurzem erst die DM1 App gekauft und finde in der Praxis keine wesentlichen Unterschiede zu diesem Nachfolger, welche den aktuellen ‘Angebotspreis’ von 10 Euro rechtfertigen, noch weniger den angekündigten höheren Preis der später kommen soll.

Sync issues
Can't seem to get it to sync to tempo in cubasis 3. It works for one loop and then it's off beat
DM1の進化版
DM1で遊んでいた人なら違和感なく遊べると思う。ランダマイズ機能が追加された事でずっと弄っていられる。 ただ、画面がアップしたまま固まる、他のアプリからは立ち上がらないなど、バグが多く、バグが治るまで購入は控えても良いかも。 これ単品で曲作りが出来るものではないが、ドラムマシンとしては優秀。シンセ部分はオマケ程度として考えた方が良い。
Great drum app, just need multi-bus for AUM please 🙏🏾
This app is just totally amazing! Been a fan of Fingerlabs since DM1 and love working the app on standalone, as well as in AUM when I’m ready to record my drums. Speaking of AUM, the only thing that would make this drum app top notch would be if multi-bus was added so I can spread the drum tracks out on its own in AUM. Other than that, this drum app definitely shares the same spotlight with Hammerhead. Again, please add multi-bus in a future update if that’s possible Fingerlabs team. 🤞🏾 thank you
Audio Unit läuft nicht
Leider läuft AU nicht in LogicPro und Maschine 3. In GarageBand funktioniert es komischerweise. Ansonsten macht die App Spaß und ist intuitiv zu bedienen. Ein großes Plus ist, das sie auf MacOS und IOS zu nutzen ist.
Chocolate Bletooth midi controller
Chocolate Bletooth midi controller とBluetooth接続できないようです。iPadはBluetooth midiは受信しているので、DM10の問題かもしれません。
external midi clock not syncing
It will sync the bpm, but not the song pointer position (SPP). This is a critical feature that without, makes it virtually unusable as an audio unit within a host DAW. I am hopeful they add support for this soon as I would really like to use this app within my workflows in Loopy and Cubasis. As it is, it gets out of sync and misses notes. It’s like it has a clock delay.
Love DM10
Easy to use and intuitive. Great variety of kits as well. Worth every penny.

Noch zu wenig…
Ich frage mich, warum eine komplett neue App entwickelt und veröffentlicht wurde, anstatt den DM1 einfach per Update oder In-App-Kauf zu erweitern. Die neuen Funktionen wie die Bass-/Synth-Erweiterung, zusätzliche FX und polymetrische Stepsequenzen sind zwar nette Ergänzungen, aber insgesamt rechtfertigen sie den DM10 nicht wirklich als würdigen Nachfolger des DM1. Besonders enttäuschend ist das UI der iPhone-Version: Es ist nur noch im Landscape-Modus nutzbar, wodurch alles unnötig klein und unübersichtlich wirkt. Ich hoffe, dass die angekündigten Features nachgereicht werden – dann gibt es auch mehr Sterne. Stand heute (13. Februar) kann ich den Kauf nicht empfehlen, insbesondere nicht für Nutzer des DM1, für die diese App derzeit keinen echten Mehrwert bietet.

so sad because sounds are good but unusable in a daw edit : good to have midi in plugin but miss the undo button for each randomize action edit 2 : the replace function only works once....then it goes into "add" mode.....you have to switch to"add" then go back to "replace" again...
Sinning example of a modern music app
I’ve been eyeing this app since release and finally got it last night. It’s very intuitive to navigate and it’s incredible to play. Definitely a fan of the big pads on the drums. The graphics have been what keeps drawing me back to the app. The graphics make it feel like an instrument and not a flat UI that could easily be a minimalistic menu system in an indie video game. This and MooMu have been great examples of modern apps with charm and robust features. Shining examples of what premium music apps should be in 2025.
Great Drum Machine
So far I love this app. It’s easy to use and understand. However, one issue I do have is I can’t seem to remap midi noes going out to hardware devices.
Nice app but need some updates
It's a cool app for drums but for bass and lead it's almost impossible to use, at least on iphone: it's not yet possible to zoom on the steps (piano roll). So, edit notes is too hard. Also it's not yet possible to pre-listen to notes on the keyboard in the piano roll.

Easy Fun with Nice Features
I like DM10’s interface and general approach and design. It doesn’t handle 6/8 and 12/8 correctly, as the step rate remains 4 per beat, regardless of the time signature. Should probably change to 3 or 6 steps per beat instead. Or just get rid of those sigs.
More New Kits Please
I really like and use this app. Does it need more newer kits? Maybe, but you can certainly get a lot done with what’s here.
Good, could be great!
I’d actually like to give this 3.5 but it’s not possible. I’ll give my suggestions first; It would be nice to be able to choose between 2, 3 and 4 hit ratchets for steps. Not just triplets. Currently if I want a 32nd note I have to double the tempo and the length of the pattern, but this results in only having 16 steps (in practical terms) or splitting the beat between two patterns if I want a double length pattern with 32nd notes in it. I’d also love to see probability per step, maybe as a long press option or as an option for the step parameter edit window in the mixer. A random kit builder would be fun too. Just a dice icon that will pick from a different drum machine per drum category. Otherwise this is a lot of fun. I use my iPad over USB-C with my Macbook so it’s really cool to write beats and sample them in as audio. Included kits are punchy, samples are good quality and consistently levelled and edited.
So many things to love about this app
First thing I love about this is the included sounds and the ease of switching between kits Next I love that this has been brought into the AUV3 realm which is huge. Third, I love that it is regularly being updated and new features added. It feels like a passion project at this point. Love for a classic app. These automatically make it worth 5 stars The classic app was great. I love the dynamic of switching between patterns quickly. This app carries over some syncing (Link or midi drift) issues the original standalone had, but only in standalone. When it is hosted it syncs which is stellar! I’m excited about the addition of accessible parameters, midi, and pattern change when it is hosted. If the bug of dropping the first beat gets fixed (fixed now), and I have access to parameters (added 😎), this will be endless fun and most importantly INSPIRING. It’s already inspiring. If you’re into the iOS AUV3 plugin world, just get this 😊
Worth Every Penny
Using DM10 in AUM to throw down a drum track on the fly is so great. I’ll come up with a synth sequence then load this and fiddle around until I’ve got a perfect beat. If youre in the market for an AUV3 like this, look no further.
