Everyone injecting insulin needs this!
I downloaded the trial two nights ago, and in 36 hours, I can tell my BF management has improved. I love the coach tips, and the BG predictive tool. Now I can see what my choices now can result in later, and make better decisions. I can also drill into why the results are different from the predictions. I usually will ride out a trial, and even if I subscribe, I’ll wait till the last possible minute. However, with this, I’m seeing so much value in subscribing now because of the very valuable tools in the paid version. Usually I think paying for a free app is a ruse, but in this case, I feel it’s so valuable I can’t wait to do it. What a great tool! I don’t know where this has been during my journey with LADA, but man, am I excited about this.
Spamalot!
If you download this app, be prepared to be smothered in spam by this developer. They keep sending spam even after I told them to stop and they agreed. The spam keeps coming. The irony is that their app is USELESS!
Jade runs my body
With Live CGM data and Jade life is starting to come under control. Extremely powerful tool to help you dial in the app to you. Exercise,stress, pain, it just understands you.. I wish the app received more small feature updates as it could probably replace everything that’s out there….. That wish list would be allow me to see my 1hr 3hr 6h etc at a quick glance on the home screen versus the 24hr standard view Also maybe pulling in data from IOS health such as BP and oxygen levels heart rate to help incorporate those others factors into my own decision making processes for “custom” amazing stuff as is thank you!! Amazing website also for all the data in the world you would ever want….
Jade Apple new user
Update as of 01/16/26. Dexcom is now working. I’m going to test this app for next 3 weeks. Compliant: Well so far I thought this was going to be the best thing ever. And it probably would except for no personal help or support. I receive numerous emails “let me know if you need help” only to be followed by another email stating same thing. My issue is with Dexcom 6 connection. And yes I have tried all suggestions that Jade has sent - even to changing servers on Dexcom app. Yes, the user name and password is correct, yes I am using 4 of 5 allowed apps following me, and yes - Jade would be my 5th. An app is only as good as service or help. I have asked for help multiple times. I guess it won’t work for me. I have spent 2 days on this.
Great app but outdated
It could be a great app but very outdated, I haven’t found an app that is as good at working out your cab ratios as this does and gives you recommendations but it’s too outdated for me so I stopped paying for it and switched to another app which is not as good but at least it gets updated. If it got updated I would definitely switch back also the Libra link is amazing.
An Excellent Option For Multiple Daily Injections
I had been on various insulin pumps for years. Jade has enabled me to get off the pump and just use my CGM. All of my carb ratios, correction ratios, insulin on board are logged on Jade. It’s a priceless tool enabling me to achieve great A1C’s without an insulin pump. I love having the app calculate my insulin doses.

LOVE but wish it was free
I LOVE this so much!! It has helped me (less than 1 year into T1D diagnosis) learn about how certain carbs affect my sugars and has been a lifesaver with calculating IOB (MDI only right now). IOB calculation has truly saved my life several times when I misdosed for food and could see where I was headed on the graph in relation to how many units I had left to work through my system. My biggest complaint is that I’m not able to use this app more than a month because I cannot afford to pay $60 for 6 months subscription. I have to spend that money on insulin now. I tell everyone about this app but that is the one improvement that would get you more customers.
Great app, has some bugs and support is very poor
Been using this app for over a year and it’s concept is great. Lately I’ve been having more bugs and the couple times I’ve had to contact support over the last 1.5/2 years it’s been an awful experience. I asked why the app is so buggy since iOS 17 update and it keeps crashing, they replied asking me if I’ve purchased a paid plan. If you aren’t on the paid plan they don’t really care what issues you’re having. But, all in all it’s an insulin calculator and luckily for them the market for these is quite small so I keep using it.
Overdue for an update
This app does a decent job however, for a paid app (and a pricey one at that) this is in serious need of an update. The graph is very small and difficult to read or navigate and the user interface is very clunky with too many settings and features handled via a website rather than in-app. This has a lot of promise but the app’s design and user experience does not live up to its potential. Great things could be done with a simple clean redesign, utilising widgets and an Apple Watch app but, with no updates from the developer for over two years, I do not hold much hope for any improvement.
AWESOME! app
Most enjoyable! Still dialing it in! Love it! Helping me find joy in managing a difficult health condition. I have struggled with Diabetes for too long, but this makes it a breeze! Thanks very much to Team Jade!
The buggiest
I’ve used this for over a year as it met most of my needs. It costs if you want certain features but they aren’t mostly necessary. DO NOT PAY FOR THIS APP. The bugs are insane. I’ve had to uninstall reinstall as it gets stuck on the “get started” page over and over. Occasionally a logout login helps. I’ve lost months of data as it decided to not sync online.
It’s was good until now
This app was great until now. I liked how you could see when you may go low. It can calculate you ratios (carb to insulin). But now it won’t stop asking me to input my settings like I just created my account. It has the potential to be really awesome.

So much promise but so many issues
I really needed a good IOB app and Jade seemed like a good one to try. It has promise but there are sooo many issues; constant email and in-app spamming, features that don’t work (notably several under the user profile, which the app constantly nags you to update), ongoing email spam, integrations like with LoseIt that aren’t reliable, etc. I can’t even log in to the web site properly and get this - the developer charges you to reset your own password! If the app were free or very low cost, I might pay for it in hopes that it would improve, but the developer is IMO gouging diabetics for the yearly plan price, especially given the many issues with the website and app. BTW - put in a support request 2 days ago (after I paid to reset my password which still didn’t allow logins) and haven’t heard back. But I DID get multiple Lisa-bot emails asking me to pay up for a subscription. Cool…

Broken promises
Even though you give them proper credit cards for billing, they will turn off your application just for no reason without even a warning first. It’s best to not have this at all. Just stops when you need it most. Do not seem to be concerned about customer support.
Pretty good
I like jade. It’s a bit of an old looking interface but functionally it works for me. I’ve been using it for about 1 year. The main reason I use it is for dosing call as it calculates for insulin on board as well as normal carb to insulin dosing and target level adjustments. My diabetes nurse was impressed as well as my 6 monthly HbA1c came down from 7.5 to 6.6%. That’s about a 12% reduction and I am fairly confident this is down to jade. This is a massive improvement when you think about it. I have now adjusted my targets down from 13 mmol/l to just 8 and so far so good. It beeps at me earlier so I add top doses as necessary. So more improvements on the way I think. I use it with Dexcom and it integrates well. Support from jade has always been good the few times I used it. I have to admit there are a lot of features that I don’t use. I was surprised how few reviews there are for this great little app. It’s pretty unique I guess so sells itself. Thanks Jade!

Kind of annoying
The features are good, but when you tap on the new dosing button, my screen keeps blacking out and it’s really annoying. They really need to update this feature because it prevents me from putting in a new dose. This problem dose not happen on any other app besides this one. I don’t understand why it does that but whatever.
iPhone app glitch!!
Yes there is no other app like this out there. I’m type 1 and this app is an essential tool for managing my diabetes. (The following is for iPhone app only) I’m writing here because the “email support” function doesn’t work. The app still resets itself to first time it’s opened, I have to go through every welcome screen and “how to” screen before I can actually USE it. Luckily all my data is still there, but this glitch has been there for months! Can you please fix it or re-upload to the App Store the OLD version so it will function properly?
Crashing a lot with Dexcom G6
I just, signed up for premium and linked my Dexcom G6, and the app continues to crash. It’s very frustrating when I rely on the calculations.
Very helpful when personal data correctly added
Gray AMD thoughtful app made for conscientious type 1 diabetics! I use it daily to assist my dosing challenges! It provides great guidance on carb ratio calculation and insulin dosing. Trouble is that I seldom eat the same meals or have the same exercise each day so my BG remains a challenge. I do recommend the app and I purchased it at a 2 years for price of 1 around Christmas time. The developer obviously has to pay for the development and improvements so the price for value is reasonable in my opinion.
Latest app update
The latest app update has ruined the great experience that I was having with this app. I hate it now.
Nice App but Fees are excessive
I like the features of the app and is helpful in predicting my glucose levels based on bg, carb, and insulin. I would rate it higher except that my problem is the additional fee which seem to excessive. My insulin and supply expenses are high enough with out another fee. For the features this seems like something that should be a one time purchase fee as I still don’t know what extra services couldn’t be covered by a one time fee.
Every T1 Diabetic needs Jade
I’ve been a T1 Diabetic since 1973 , just days before my 8th birthday. When iPhones came out and BG apps started popping up on the App Store , I tried them all and wasted a lot of time and money. The apps either didn’t do what they said it would, or if it did work, it wasn’t accurate. Accurate numbers are essential for BG control, and Jade does it well, plus so much more. I’ve literally tested my BG to compare to my Dexcom G6 and Jade is closer 9 out of 10 times. You can’t get results like that with any other app. Now I don’t even bother looking. This is the one that does it all.
Stopped my plan
Not sure why but they stopped my plan automatically and ask why I didn't renew. Um.. excuse me. Oh well on to something else.
Great App, but way too expensive!
I enjoyed using the free trial for 30 days. This app syncs easily with Apple health and Dexcom G6. The blood sugar predictions were much better than I myself could do. I would leave 5 stars, but the app is not worth the money. However, I would be willing to pay $49.99 one time for lifetime access.

Are you looking for the BEST T1D app for you!
Having T1D is hard, but with PedectBGL I think I have finally found the correct diabetes app to help me control my numbers. I think for me the biggest help has been when I am dozing ... the app gives me the BEST suggestion, better than I could estimate. The Predict BGL has been key, in discovering that it is possible to maintain my numbers within range. This is THE app! Best Regards to All, Wren Grigore
Nightmare - website and app broken
I downloaded this app to see if it would work with my particular diabetes situation. It didn’t. And that’s OK. I deleted the app from my phone. Then the daily email started happening. I logged into the website and there is no Place whatsoever to change your email address, stop the daily emails or cancel your mandatory account. I read download the app and couldn’t find it anywhere to cancel. There was one place where they did say “cancel account”. You’re feeling the contact form and then they have a captcha anti-spam button before you send the email. The link is broken. So you can’t even contact them through the app on the cancel page because the capture of anti-spam verification isn’t working. This is a total nightmare. So to recap… You have to “sign up“ see the features of the app. Once it takes your information and if you decide this app doesn’t work for you, all the features of canceling the stopping the emails are getting off their system are either broken because they don’t care or intentionally disable. You can’t even send a message to their health department to opt out of this. Just be very aware. Either they abandon consumer help on this, are they canceling disabled us to collect your data and information. And trust me, it’s a whole lot of information you have to give medically. I’ve also noticed that a lot of reviews are from 2+ years ago. Doesn’t this violate terms of apples App Store agreement if you can’t opt out of collecting data? You can’t call customer service because I’m in the United States and they’re in Australia. User beware. I’m sorry for a bad review., But it’s the truth.
Fixed dark mode issue
The most recent updates has fixed the issue that caused the app to not load the date settings when trying to add/edit an entry whilst the iPhone is in dark mode.
Nice app, unaffordable monthly charge
Let’s see, if I pay in 6 month installments, that comes to $130/year, or a little over $12/month, minimum. I may as well be buying a ridiculously expensive app each year. This is definitely not an app for people struggling just to buy their insulin each month. If this were covered under health insurance it would help. It seems to me to be hand-in-hand with with pharmaceutical companies along with insurance providers taking advantage of the fact people will die without their insulin. Surely that’s not the case.
Most powerful and accurate tool
I have used predictbgl for years. It helped me get my a1c from 14.1 to 5.7. Empower yourself to take control of your diabetes. The coach portion of this program is the gold. When you enter a blood glucose level and carbs eaten, the program compares its prediction to the actual results and gives you immediate feedback as to potential changes in your ratios. This is taking control and giving you and your doctor valuable feedback to adjust your treatment if needed. The program accurately predicts your blood sugar levels for hours into the future. The dose calculator takes into account carb ratios and correction ratios. Impotant things like insulin on board and insulin stacking are prominently displayed. The program does EVERYTHING it says it will do plus so much more. Type 1 ot type 2. On pills or insulin..shots or pump..this program is for all. Very valuable calculations for the impact of sickness, menstruation, alcohol etc is easily set up for your time periods can automatically adjust your insulin doses. Customer service at this company surpasses expectations. They care about their customers. It is well worth the paid features offered in the program.
Won’t save data
Doesn’t save my data. Every time I open the app I have to re-sign up and all my sugar readings and such are gone. Deleted.

Needs some polishing
Well it all seems cool at first glance, BUT: 1. You need to $$$ to see what this app even does. Plus there are ads. So unless your willing to dish out cash to demo stay away. 2. No apple health integration. 3. Don't see much of a benefit over Dexcom G5 app that justifies $15 a month.
Huge part of our daily life
I don’t know what we would do without this app helping us manage 9 year olds T1D. We’ve used it since his diagnosis a year ago. Customer service is excellent as well. Could not recommend more!!
Complicated
This app is absolutely not user friendly. First, you need a microscope to be able to read anything in it. Secondly, navigation is too complicated for us older users. Think I’ll stay with the Libre app tor tracking. Calculating my insulin needs is not that difficult with BolusCalc app and it works.
The best of its kind.
Spectacular app. It truly is the best of its kind. It needs some work though. A lot of its features are a pass throughs to the website that is poorly designed. The app crashes regularly, especially if using third party keyboards to input data like notes. Wish the main prediction graph could be scrolled left and right to look at past and future predictions. It would be great to be able to set different active insulin times for different rapid action insulins (I use 2) and also different active insulin times for the same insulin but injecting it either subcutaneous or intramuscular. Being able to add more than 2 bolus insulin would also be a great addition. Some times I use rapid or regular founding of the GI or fat content of the meal. Unfortunately it's not payable to select the second rapid insulin through the app when loggin data, only through the website. Most of the time when clicking the add and save button and when going back and forth through the different screens I have to click the buttons several times until the app responds. Other than that it's an amazing app. Great job 👍 PS: The monthly fee for the pro version is really high. It should be cheaper and it should be a one-time fee.
Can't use it until I do this
It won't let me properly use the app until I "finish" my profile. Even still it's still showing its only 33% finished.
New Type 1 - This Got Me In Order
Have been using the app for about 2 weeks now and it's gotten me in order as a new adult onset type 1. Cool reports and a dosage calculator as a double check. Main piece of feedback would be to finish the development to allow for emailing reports to my doctors. Right now you have to share all data with the docs and they can pull reports themselves.
Not good enough to ask for money
This is a messy bundle with features already included in other free or vendor apps, and lacking insulin dose calculator.
Great App
This is a great program for those who need tighter management of their BGL levels. Before I started using this app, I was using a 30/70 twice per day (30 in the morning and 10 at dinner) and found myself spiking and dropping uncontrollably. After only a few days, I am now down to 15 units in the morning and 10 at dinner (I usually have a large bedtime snack) and my numbers are between 7 and 3.5. This program allows me to watch my program and provides me with fairly accurate predictions, which I rely on to eat or exercise, even if it is only a taking a light, short walk or having a Nature Valley bar. As I said, I have been using the program for less than a week now and am swing great results. The program states it needs 14 days of data to create accurate predictions. I don't think anyone needs to ask if I am looking forward to what I might see after a couple of weeks committed to this program. This is an app and computer program accessible through your browser that every person with Diabetes should consider. Thanks team.
Lacks polish
Despite working through all of the config options the app still argues that they haven't been completed and won't let me add any results. I have a wireless glucometer (Bayer) that transmits results to my pump. It'd be good if an app could collect that info automagically too and alert users to projected problems but it seems this one doesn't. If the app wasn't so flaky it's be quite good. Tested on an iPhone 6+ iOS 9.2.
