I PASSED THE NCLEX!
The CAT exams are so helpful! They mimicked the NCLEX NGN 2026 exactly and made me feel comfortable with the format of the exam. I passed the boards on my 1st attempt with 85 questions in around 2 hours. Did the 60 days membership that came with 2 self assessments and it was about $170. I think this was so worth it. The study plans were a little confusing so I suggest ignoring those and go straight for the CAT exams to really prep for the NCLEX. Uworld has definitely prepared me well!!!! I’m OFFICIALLY A RN!!!!!
Don’t get it if you plan to use the app
The app refuses to load so much of the time. And then they “fix it” and something else quits working. Emailing them about all the lost study time won’t get you any extension on the time ton paid for either so it’s a waste if you plan to use this app study. It might be fine on PC. The questions are great but being unable to access them means I cannot recommend spending your money on this.
Nclex RN Study
Custom quizzes with the thirty day plan was all I did to pass the Nclex on the first try!! My friend did the same and also passed the first time!! Highly recommend! John 3:16

App Works Now
They fixed my issue promptly
Intermittently unable to access app and poor technical support.
After spending several hundred on this app was disappointed to find I couldn’t log in, at seemingly random times. Repeated error on the splash screen saying “the app requires an active account”. As I’d paid and successfully logged in with my same credentials on other occasions, I was stumped as to why I’d get this randomly. Tech support basically consisted of telling me to delete the app and restart. After trying this to no avail, tech support has washed their hands. According to their email, this app is “not meant to be the primary access.” And I should just log in on a computer terminal. Which seems scammy, as why would they sell access to an app that they don’t expect to function as advertised? I have weeks of paid subscription time that were unable to be used, and am still paid up for several future weeks that I am likely unable to gain access. Customer service refused to reimburse for the weeks that the app has been inaccessible. They tell me I am the only one with these issues. If that’s true, and the app itself is not buggy, the company might have let me know what I can change in my end to get a more reliable log in. I received no such help, just basically, I’ll paraphrase, “if it doesn’t work on your phone, don’t use it then.” It’s an incredibly expensive app for something so buggy and devoid of tech support/ customer service. Doesn’t matter the quality of the product: if you pay for it and cannot access half the time, it’s really not worth your money. I do not recommend.
Love it but would like picture-in-picture feature
Would love a picture-in-picture feature for the videos. I swap back and forth out of Uworld while taking notes on my phone, but it has me restart the whole video when I go back to the all. And on iOS, sometimes you can’t skip forward because the video controls are so close to the bottom. If there was a picture-in-picture feature, it would be much much easier to take notes on the video content Otherwise I love the app :) great content!
Could be better
The app tends to lose connection a lot. The videos are informative but they pause a lot. Sometimes when watching the lectures, the audio will still be playing but the image on the screen will be still for 3-5 minutes depending on the length of the video. It would also be beneficial if there were transcripts on the videos. Another thing I don’t like about the app is that sometimes when taking a test or a quiz or whatever, if you’re spending too long on a rational, I guess the system thinks that you’re not on the app anymore and will lag. So all the questions answered following that will be unsaved despite showing that you’re answering the question and will still give you the rationales. But once you get the end and try to submit, it shows an error message and the only fix is to remove the app from the background and reopen and redo all the questions again. I wish there were lecture notes on the app because some of the videos aren’t long and it would be nice to have something to refer back to that’s built in on the app rather than me opening multiple apps and thus leading to me losing connection during testing.
Great questions, terrible UI/UX
The questions are great compared to what other apps offer, especially the next gen ones. However for the price, it’s not worth it. The mobile app interface is horrendous and antiquated. The filter functionality is severely lacking and it’s not possible to customize the exams in the way I need them to be filtered. Although, many of the apps have that issue, so that’s not a unique problem to their app (unfortunately). To give an example of one that excels in this area, the Lecturio app has the best filtering functions I have found; however, even that is not perfect. UWorld is hardly trying. Btw, how is filtering by “basic care and comfort” helpful? Those are just arbitrary categories and useless buzz words imo. They’re not actually useful categories to filter by as a nursing student though (and by not useful I mean 100% useless). Most of those categories like “physiological adaptation” and “infection and safety control” are always applicable, from the first class to the last. We don’t actually get tested on those subjects individually, so it’s worthless. Filtering that way creates exams that have questions that are way past what we’ve learned or way beyond it. It’s the equivalent of a junk drawer. “How about filtering by patho type (pancreatic, liver, neural, etc) or pharm type (antidiabetics, analgesics, etc) and then combining any which way you want. Also being able to save those parameters for future quiz creation. I don’t think any app has that, sadly. Makes me want to build my own. As an aside, I was a developer in my last career, so I am analyzing this app from a programmer’s mindset as well, not just a nursing student standpoint. Anyway back to the problems with their app. The max questions per quiz is 85 which is cheap of them. My guess is that they limit data storage or connectivity. Assuming they’re part of a fiber network, that would mean they just aren’t buying enough storage on whatever servers they’re renting from whatever data center they’re partnered with. That’s so cheap and lazy, especially taking the price into consideration. They have ample money to cover the costs of more uptime/downtime and/or data storage and still maintain a great profitability margin. An app that isn’t being cheap would be the Mastery NCLEX app, which has no limit on quiz questions. I’d recommend doing what it takes to remove the limit. Speaking of the Mastery app, their UI/UX is nearly flawless and responds at lightning speed. UWorld could learn a thing or two from them. Another annoying thing is the only way to “mark” the questions is to flag them. The system remembers which ones you marked but if you create a new quiz with the marked questions, they will appear as being “unflagged.” This causes me to waste time flagging all of them again because that takes less time than verifying if I have previously flagged them or not. That’s an easy fix and it seems lazy to have not done so already. Also should switch to a star or bookmark instead of a flag. Flags are usually intended to notify the company of an error within the question. Again, just points to a lack of understanding of their dev team in regards to UI/UX. Finally, the app seems very heavyweight. Their system is slow to respond to every input by the user. Whether this is a server issue, lack of code optimization, or both, I do not know. However it is obvious that there is an issue and they need to work on speed. It shouldn’t take ~5 seconds to load the next question. Why is the uptime/downtime 20+ years behind current tech capabilities? Get with the times or charge a fraction of what your company currently charge and then I can give it 5 stars. For now, they get 3 stars — average; because they have better questions (5/5) than most apps but it’s offset by their archaic, slow, non-mobile friendly, non-user friendly, unintuitive platform (1/5).
Very good test bank
Had lots of questions to test from. Lots of rationales to read and were well written and easy to understand. Most importantly, I passed my RN- NCLEX using this lol

4 Stars because I was never able to use the iPhone app as the “login” buttons never worked. I used the website to use the question bank. I finished about 52% of all the UWorld questions (including nextGen style questions) I averaged a 76% overall. I took the NCLEX this passed Monday the first time and passed. I study for 1 month everyday studying between 50-100 question and reading every rational with every question and every video that was attached to the rationale. You can do this!
Cheaper on the website, so expensive on the app
What kind of mind do you have, only around 136usd in website, but more than £220 in the app, that is more than 136 usd.. why on eartg would i use the app if i can use and pay in the website

App not working
Literally been loading from the login page for over an hour! The app prompts you to login and you get a loading sign that spins in a circle leading to no success with logging in.
Not NGN user friendly
The app is not NGN user-friendly. Whenever I get an NGN question, I have to scroll back and forth, and some information does not even show.
Very unstable app
Loves the rational but the App always freeze and show the error message . Worse with pro max 13 I used to delete and download the app more than 10 times a day and I never experienced this problem with archer even I pay less.
Annoying
The questions, rationales, and explanations are great. I love the graphics involved. BUTTT I’m trying to study for the NCLEX and half the time I get a error message in the app and here recently the calculator stopped working correctly. Spent $189 on something that I can barely use 🙄

Not enjoying my experience
I’ve been using this app less than a month and it has been a huge headache. System issue after system issue. I can start a test and when I go to submit it, I’ll get an error message that states {error submitting test…an unexpected technical error occurred while processing your request. Please try again. } I would have to uninstall the app and lose all progress on the test and have to start completely over. This is counterproductive and a waste of time. Please fix this. I’ve had this issue while using the app on my phone as well as my iPad.

This app is the best. I only used it for 2 months but every day. And I passed NCLEX-RN in the first attempt. Thank you UWORLD!
Missing Feature Inconvenient
The app is either missing the study planner feature or it’s located in a very obscure place. Either way, please update the app to include it in the main menu. I’ve had to resort to using Safari and not the app when on my phone because of this issue.
Extremely slow
UWorld is great! The questions are super helpful and I absolutely love the descriptions it gives after you answer questions. However, this app specifically is extremely slow! Sometimes takes over 2 minutes just to sign in, crashes, or doesn’t open at all. Major bugs need to be fixed. I will have full bars in connection and it is still slow.
Study Plan
I’ve really enjoyed the study plan you can generate in preparation. It takes the load of guessing where to start and how to progress. **Wish there was a captions option for the lecture videos.
BUY IT FROM THE WEBSITE
The prices are different from buying from the AppStore or from the website. App Store is twice as much versus the website and you get better options
DELETE TESTS
I love uworld, BUT WHY can’t you allow us to delete tests?????? So very annoying when you create a test with the wrong subjects or by accident. Allow delete tests and this would be my favourite prep tool.

UWorld folks - can’t thank you enough. your program is so incredibly helpful. I was so anxious about prepping for the NCLEX but your questions and rationales are thoughtful, in depth AND digestible. Understanding more now than ever. Two recommendation: option to answer questions by DISEASE, maybe? I’ve felt multiple times like that would be so helpful/when I wanted a more focused practice test (and when I need your amazing rationales) to review content I’ve just done some reading for or listened to a lecture on. Also it would be SWEET if you embedded a tag (that we could remove if we wanted) into the questions so we don’t necessarily have to make our own when making a flashcard? I didn’t realize that my flashcards wouldn’t be organized by topic automatically unless I created tags until I was about 200 flashcards in…. Other than that I love you and I am so grateful. (Wish me luck!)
Archer is Better
I used Uworld multiple times and failed each time. Way too expensive while Archer is cheaper, provides multiple assessment tests instead of just 1-2 like Uworld, and I ended up passing with Archer. I gave Uworld multiple chances but it just didn’t work out. On top of that, Archer gives money back guarantee if you fail using their system. Uworld has not done anything to ensure I pass even though I’ve failed using their system multiple times. I wish I used Archer sooner. The Uworld app was convenient though. However, Archer provides the same thing and more!
PASSED NCLEX IN 75 QUESTIONS
Finished the qbank did two assessments got very high chance of passing in both. Read the rationals!!
Waste of money
This is a big waste of money for a bunch of useless questions. They are not similar to nclex questions and there is no lectures, just stupid rationales that often are incomplete and you learn nothing. Better off buying Archer Review or even Simple nursing.
All I used for NCLEX
I did about 50 questions a day. Read all the rationales, and took my time for each question. Took the NCLEX on Friday, got all 145 questions. Found out today I passed!! UWorld is legit!!!!
It makes you more confused insecure and frustrated
Many questions are based on pettiness. For example is not lighter is less dark! And they don’t teach much other than disliking what you are studying. Many of these questions made me feel stressed! Insecure of myself , incapable of getting a right answer cause they always put another answer that sounds correct but they will make excuses to justify it as incorrect. I don’t recommend this program at all!!!
