It’s always hit or miss if this will actually open your door. I’m literally sitting in the parking garage right now waiting for my girlfriend to come down to let me in.

Expires randomly
This app is infuriating. First, I need to tap at the precise time and the exact correct spot on the pad. Usually takes two tries minimum. The worst though is that I have a monthly pass and the app consistently ‘expires’ on a random date. So I repeatedly have to uninstall and reinstall the app to get it to work. Which usually happens when I’m at the entrance and there are irritated people behind me waiting for me to reinstall your garbage app.
Add cards to Apple wallet
I like the app it works great. I just wish I could just tap to open instead of opening the app and logging in and then wait for the locks to open. If the app had an apple wallet extension I think it would be better

Garbage app that writes fake reviews
Solved something that was never a problem. this app is the worst man made product ever. If I was in hell, this would be the app that would drive me over the edge.

Kills battery
The app prevents the screen from locking so it just kills your battery. There is 0 reason for it to prevent screen lock, unless they do it to invade your privacy and track you.
Very Useful
It is useful and handy except for entry into and out of garage. I can only use it to access building doors. Wish it responded to garage openings as well.

There is no way to add a widget to the iPhone Lock Screen
Great functionality but not always reliable
Great when it works but sometimes it won’t connect and requires several restarts to the app. It would also be nice if they had an Apple Watch app.
Convenient Key Companion!
This system makes it so easy to carry your key to your apartment and you never seem to forget it because most of us have our phones on us all the time!

30% chance it’ll work on the first try. Incredibly annoying when you’re standing there for minutes trying to lock a door

Great concept but unreliable
My condo uses these for entrances. Literally half the time the app does not find and connect to the Justin transmitter to unlock a door or open the garage. I can hold the phone six inches from the Justin device and the lock will not be found. After a few more attempts while holding the phone at same distance the lock will suddenly be detected and I can get in. If you are a building manager scouting for electronic locks I’d look at alternatives.

So easy when we return to our campground. We don’t have to wait while other campers check in. Works smoothly each time. Love it!

No iOS 18 widget
Please bring back a widget for iOS 18. The widget was so useful for quick access, I am now searching for the app before being able to unlock doors. Previously I found the app/widget to be excellent.

Concierge at Grand Colorado Peak 8 offered this after I left my wrist key fob in spa robe. I appreciate this option. Super convenient! It worked perfectly our entire stay.
Does not work properly
This app is the only app on my phone that requires me to reboot my phone every time before it will work.
Widget not working
The widget is not showing on iOS 14.2, The only option is to open the app when I want to open the door, witch is kind of annoying.

I use this app at my school and haven’t had one problem since they implemented it on all of our doors to the dorms. Very easy to use interface as easy I can even add a shortcut on my lock screen definitely do like it.

If you are looking to buy a Salto system don’t do it! This app is a joke.
Great, but...
The recent addition of a widget really improved UX. It is now easier to access the core feature without having to go into the app itself. There’s just one piece missing: Apple Watch support. I’d love to be able to leave my desk without my phone and use the Watch to authenticate/open a door.
Iwatch
Need support for Iwatch, watches are the new phones. Phone stays at home so I can’t get into my workplace (this is my own fault of course, but please get with the times 😇)
Fine app but announces widgets that don’t seem available on iOS
As of iOS 17.5.1, when attempting to add a widget, there is still no option to add JustIn mobile. I’m unsure if this is due to the nature of my pass, but usually if that were the case the widget would be available but null. Anywho, the app works well to unlock/access things. However, this review is more a feedback to the app develops there should be more quality control/verifications on completed before announcing new functions.

The day they changed our apartment to this (which I can not understand that was so smart of them…) thing I genuinely have anger issues every time I try to enter either it logs me out or it expires or just my phone dies I genuinely can not understand how somebody woke up and though hmm maybe I should make door locks with phone so they can open it with that THAT IS A BAD IDEA STOP PRODUCING LOCKS AND DELETE THIS APP FOR EVERYBODIES GOOD BENEFIT SMHHHH!!!

Yayyyy for the new widget! The correct version makes the system less secure, seeing as unlocking the phone is no longer needed. I would recommend having the user unlock their phone upon touching the widget.
Great Idea poor execution
While the app does work as advertised, it’s a pain to open up each time you want to open your door at your condo. The fact this doesn’t have a widget for a Home Screen, wallet support, or a watch app is a travesty in 2022.

Terrible app
I use this app to enter my condo. It glitches 9 times out of 10. Not only is this infuriating, it is a safety issue. Do better JustIN Mobile.
Easy to Use and Well Designed!
App is user friendly, easy to use and designed well. I like how quickly the app opens up and shows your key right away. The option buttons on the key info is a cool feature as well that allows you to open maps to get the hotel address, call the hotel direct and also read a welcome message from the hotel. Once you press the key button and present you phone to be lock, the app communicates the progress which is an added touch. One feature that I think would be cool to add is the ability to send ad receive messages tohotel from the app and also add your key to Apple Wallet. Maybe in the future!

Hey Salto. We run an apartment hotel with 65 rooms called Apartments.no in Norway. We have changed all locks to «salto» this autumn and use the app "justin" on mobile as a key card. We are unmanned. So far this has not been easy and we spend a lot of time on this, unfortunately. This is mainly because when the "key" is sent out to the customer from the booking, it is required that the customer has downloaded the app before. If the customer has not downloaded the app, the customer will not receive the key until after 15 minutes, and the customer will therefore stand by a locked door and start calling us. In other apps such as UNLOC, the key will appear in the app even if the customer downloads the app after the key has been sent out. Is it not possible to create such a solution here? That is, when the customer logs in to the app with their phone number, regardless of whether the app is downloaded after the key is issued, will find their key here? Hoping for a quick response. When it works, it’s great
Generally have been happy with the app, however I just ran into a significant issue: my key was set to expire at 11:59pm but it wasn’t letting me into my unit at 11:15pm. Thankfully I was able to get into my building, at least, but I had to hang out in the lobby lounge until 12:00 when the new key downloaded. Wish it had a better sense of what time it was, or a manual “refresh key” button to avoid this situation.
