great test
The test is simple and easy. Just the same as an expensive test at the doctor
Suddenly stopped working
I used the app for 4 days and suddenly the app kept saying my AirPods aren’t connected when they clearly ARE!
Very helpful hearing test!
I really enjoyed doing this test. It’s a first time I’ve ever experienced a consumer product that could do this outside of a doctors office. One suggestion would be to increase the time interval between tests and perhaps to give the user a oaise button. The purpose being to give me a chance to breathe between tests as breathing is too noisy to work with this test and you have to breathe sometime right? Also found I found times when the response button debounce was too long, so it didn’t record my press. Again having a second or two delay between test would solve this problem.
Needs an Update
Why won’t anything load up why do you keep telling me to check my internet connection and why can’t I retake the test after I get better headphone?
Not updated for AirPods Pro 3
App isn’t updated for AirPods Pro 3. The device doesn’t appear in the device list
Practice
At first, the directions are more difficult to follow. After a few attempts, the accuracy improves.

No. No
Testing
This is useful to determine if you have a hearing loss! Being exposed to loud noises for almost all my career it seems to be accurate and useful!

Headphones
It seems like an accurate test but it didn’t include my Bowers and Wilkins headphones so I don’t know how accurate my test was?
Does not work
Will not allow me to reset my Apple ear pods
Hearing
The test appeared to working properly. At the end, it could not ascertain my hearing loss.
这个app给突聋患者自测听力带来很大便利
不需要去医院测听室,用手机也可以方便测出足够的听力图
Doesn’t import or share with the iPhone
The iPhone health app doesn’t recognize it or see it so it won’t work with the AirPods for hearing aid functionality
Great App
Good for a baseline to see if you may benefit from getting a professional test from a hearing specialist.
Nice app. Totally lacking support
Definitely appreciate the app, however apparently no way to delete a test once you try it. Not hard to do something wrong and want to redo. But by then the data is saved (and exported to Apple Health) WORSE is that every attempt at contacting support to ask how… all fail and get redirected to a 404 no page found.
Doesn’t work in iOS 18.1.1 yet
I used this a while back and it was very good. Thought I’d use it again but it won’t work until the app is updated.
Hearing test free
Great app
Test stops no sound
Test starts out ok but after 4 to 5 seconds there are no mor beeps and the test pauses asking if I want to restart or quit. I picked restart several times but got the same results. I think the test was at about 15% according to the progress bar
Apple Mimi Hearing test.
I was using Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth wireless headphones, which seem to work fine. From what I can tell, it shows that I do have a 50% hearing loss or more, and that may be due to 20 years in the military flying in helicopters, both the UH-1H Huey’s flying Dust-Off and the US Coast Guard H-60 Blackhawk and H-65 Dolphin helicopters & C-130/C-5A Aircraft. It is also in combat zones with artillery fire, 50 Calibre machine gun, and M60 tank fire. Also, being an EOD technician. Doesn’t work anymore
App worked great initially. Now it doesn’t connect to internet. My firewall flags it as malicious now. Is it collecting data it doesn’t need? And no I can’t make an exception in the firewall.
Powerful with clean design
Fantastic design and simplicity. Great that you can use it for free and without sign up. Calibrated for my headphones and has masking sounds. Results lined up with what I found at a professional test
Didn’t work
It said to restart test because I didn’t respond.i didn’t respond because I didn’t hear the beeps anymore, that was what I was supposed to do. Doesn’t not work
Very good but I have one request
It’s a nicely designed app and easy to use. I can’t say how accurate it is but from what I’ve seen, I believe it’s pretty close. My scores are similar to the scores from my audiologist. My biggest issue with the app is that the historical view is really basic. It’s a long list of old reports. While it is nice to have access to the historical test, it’s not super useful for comparing week over week or month over month, etc. My feature request is the following: as a user, I want to have access to a data visualization that shows my hearing changes over time on a timeline that allows me to select month, 3 month, 6 month, 1 year, etc so that I can see if each ear is stable or degrading or improving. An alternative or mvp is to give users the ability export a spreadsheet with historical scores that allows them to see changes over time easily. Please add this feature and then it would be 5 star app!!!!
May25 2024. Iphone 14 . Update seems broken
After a long time updating The app still says it needs updating.
Really wish it worked for me…
This app seems to have a lot of potential. I lost my hearing suddenly in my right ear (-85db). Tried this app before I got my hearing tested by an audiologist and it repeatedly gave errors saying my results were out of range. I understand if the AirPod Pros cannot equalise this level of hearing loss but it would have still been helpful to monitor as it does change slightly, daily.
Useful
Very good and useful to have an idea of your hearing conditions and keep track of them over the time
Headphones
Can't get past connect to headphones starting to look like it has to be Bluetooth or maybe it just doesn't work at all it shows Bluetooth headphones on a little's phone screen on the screen but I don't have Bluetooth headphones to know if that's actually true
Seems reliable
Tried the Apple hearing test but app stopped test as right ear didn’t hear all sounds. Nearly same thing with right ear with this app, but, thankfully, managed to get to end of test and get a result. Strange that I have 1% more hearing loss in left ear than right ear! Prefer this test though because at least I can hear the sound and stop pressing when no longer hearing it. Whereas for Apple test, you have to tap screen if/when you hear a sound.
Excellent potential
I could really use an app like this as I have moderate hearing loss in one ear and would very much like the ability to regularly update my AirPods Pro personalised sound profile without having to see my audiologist for a new audiogram every time. Unfortunately, unless one can achieve what the app considers a ‘silent’ environment in which to take its tests, results are invariably labelled “inaccurate or incomplete” rendering them useless. I’ve reached out to Mimi Hearing Technologies GmbH multiple times via the in-app link (“We would love to hear what you think!”) asking how to achieve a silent environment — my own attempts culminated in a carpeted room, empty of people save myself, with all doors and windows closed, my iPhone resting on a firm but padded surface, without breathing, at 3 am (result: ‘Quiet’) — but sadly I’ve not received any response from them whatsoever which is a great shame.
Gives an indication
I’ve had hearing difficulties since childhood and am now 42. I had a professional hearing test several years ago where it was suggested I could benefit from a hearing aid in my worst ear. Also, when lying on my good ear, I can’t hear my partner talking to me in bed, and I can’t hear the dawn chorus, all of which I can hear clearly with my good ear. The test with this app indicated I had mild problems and both ears could hear pretty equally within a few db difference. So while it indicated there is a problem, it certainly doesn’t back up my level of real life experience.
Consistent
Results are consistent with audiologist assessment
Headphones
In the era of Apple AirPods why on earth would Apple be promoting an app that requires you to plug in headphones to work. Or maybe I’m missing something but there aren’t any instructions. Can’t get past the connect headphones despite being connected.
Test is good but cant log in
The test is very easy to do and gives results which are consistent with what I knew about my hearing. The only problem I had was an inability to reset my password so I was unable to log in. Having said that, I wanted a hearing test, but a lifelong relationship so skipping log in was not a serious problem.
Buggy
Worked, now it doesn’t. I get an error after each test “not connected to the internet” and the test results are unrecoverable at this point. I am connected to the internet. The technology is impressive but the app itself feels a bit half-hearted.
Unresponsive? No. I just have poor hearing.
This is a bizarre hearing test app - it only seems to work if you can hear the beeps. If you can’t hear them and fail to press the button, you get a message telling you you’re unresponsive and that you should start again. It was great at measuring the hearing in my left ear (my good ear) but unable to assess my hearing in my right ear because I didn’t respond. Perhaps a better prompt would be ‘you have not responded. Are you struggling to hear?’
Muy importante revisarse
Luego del COVID pensé que escuchaba más, ya me había hecho esta prueba y hoy confirmé que en efecto aumentó mi capacidad de escuchar.
Doesn’t work
The app requires you to set the volume to 50 %, but the range it allows on the volume bar for that doesn’t work on the iPhone. When you set it to 50% (which you can only do by going to max volume then going down to 50) it auto changes it to a different value which the app determines is not 50%. So the app asks you again to set it to 50%, which you can’t do and make it stay at that level. This totally blocks being able to proceed with the test.
Accessible with Voiceover screen reader for the blind
Well done . Easy to understand and use. First audio gram was missing data so I will do it again. Could be my reaction time while using the screen reader was to slow. There is a bit of a lag when pressing the button. It says it takes reaction time into account. I just had some trouble getting my finger on the button at first. Have new AirPods Pro and want to use the data with hearing accommodations on iPhone. Mimi Hearing Test is mentioned in the Apple health app.
Undecided
This was a strange way to test hearing. I found the sounds predictable and too close together, so by the time the sound deminishes you have to immediately press the button again. I have auditory sensitivity and according to this test, my partner has better hearing than me even though he can’t hear me call out to him two rooms away. Something just isn’t right with this.
Very good app but.
Very good app but when doing the test ( both ears wearing AirPods) I can’t hear beeping and it stops. I have to falsely quickly press button to get through. Giving a false reading. It’s a brilliant app and not sure why Apple doesn’t have this feature in health.
Great App
This app is great and useful. Glad I tried it.
Can’t get past the set up
The app fails to recognize any connected headphones and so won’t even let me past the setup pages to start the tests.
Good but no AirPods max?
Really like how the app works. But I was a bit surprised that the AirPods max are not included as calibrated earphones whilst all other AirPods are. Would be great if this could be updated!
Doesn't work with wireless headphones
Tried to take test with Bose Bluetooth headset, but won't detect and can't proceed.
It’s ok
Not bad app. However it’s lack of calibration with most popular headphones like Sony or Bose is bad.
