What people like
- People are genuinely nicer than on other apps
- Great place for chubs, bears, and insecure guys
- Feels like a supportive community, not just dating
What they complain about
- Messages lag, disappear, or arrive out of order
- Constant crashes and connection errors ruin the experience
- You must pay to block harassing users
Best Chubby Chaser App.
The best dating app for chaser, chubs and bears. So easy to navigate and find people.
Gay apps suck we deserve better
No real wall limited pictures no ability to share video no real incentive to actually talk to people why can’t you guys care lol 😂 it’s almost like stupid strait people make these tbh they don’t know or care that it sucks that’s why i said that or they just suck at there job 🥲 we deserve better
❌
Most are rude and expect you to hookup with them
M
It really hard to get a reply on here and I guess it a more friendly app but seems nobody is interested in communicating
Bigger City Mobile Site
BC needs an upgrade. Especially for those with paid subscriptions. Robost filters, better questions /choices for polling, and what we can see on a pc should match what we see on the phone (note the case now)
Love it!
It’s a great place to feel attractive as a Super Chubb.
If youre black prepared to deal with harassment
Its one thing to deal with harassment in public but this is suppose to be an inclusive subculture yet when I put my boundaries in my bio, and I get harassed for simply stating my boundaries, when I report it they say theyll report it AND DO NOTHING ABOUT THE PERSON WHO HARASSED ME!
Area-dependent, but good
The only complaint I have isn’t about the app. So I won’t go into depth aside from saying if you’re in an area with not a lot of people you’re interested in, unfortunately no app will fix that. However, I’d rather have an experience like with BC to where you get very few actual people hitting you up as opposed to bots, etc. Has great potential for future development too!
Forced to pay to avoid harassment
Used to enjoy this app but I had to stop using it because they require you to pay in order to block people. I now have to just allow myself to be harassed relentlessly by the same men over and over again and sent inappropriate photos without my consent because I can’t just block people.
notification doesn't clear
Notifications do not clear after tapping the conversation from the notification center
They’re nice
They all seem to be nicer over here.
Constant crashes
Seems like each new update brings more frequent crashes. It’s almost unusable now.
Older profiles
Older profiles more than a week need to fall off the horizon. But two months last seen????
Very Buggy
This app has not worked well in a long time. The messages are particularly "buggy". They lag, some messages messages go missing or reappear in the wrong order. There have been several updates and none of them have addressed this. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max running the latest software. Same thing happened with my previous phone. I get a badge saying there is a new message, but the message does not appear until much later. Will ever be fixed?
Account locked
Good app although I got locked out of my account and now I’m sad bc I won’t find the ppl I texted unless I get back in got a message saying account locked
Great app for the guys that have a bigger heart and body lol
This app is great I have met a ton of men and made a lot of friends we all accept each other and our unique personalities and ways to please join us it is free lol
Don’t Bother
I used to use this app which was very functional now it’s so quirky that it’s just not worth it. Even every time I try to buy a VIP or sign up again it won’t take any of my information, blah blah blah it a bore….
Crashes a lot
App seems to crash a lot under the current iOS 18.x. Seems to crash mostly when it’s changing screens (going backwards). Sad cuz I use to really like this app
Malfunction City
The app throttles messaging without being explicit about that, presumably to get you to pay before experiencing its functionality. As a result, most of the connections I've tried to make are failed from the get-go despite there being mutual attraction. Weird way to build an app, tbqh. No thanks.
weird app design
not having send recipts is bad. i wanna know if my picture is sent or not or if it went under review
A Welcoming & Fun Global Community
I have only been on this site for two weeks, and it already feels like home. I wasn’t going to get a premium membership until after I was on for a week or two. After chatting with a few guys, I got a membership on the first day. I can’t recommend this app enough for anyone who has ever felt insecure about being and showing their full selves online. Gay hookup and social apps can be tough. Bigger City makes it easy and fun.
Low bar
The non-black men on this app like many other apps aren’t friendly towards black men.
Flirts
For the love of all that is holy please update the flirts. Maybe with flirts that are more relevant/current to conversation? Also, please make the forums part of the app. Other than that, this app/site is great. Been a member for over 20 years and I keep coming back to it. I’ve developed a lot of long lasting friendships and even a couple long term relationships.
Bof
Très peu de contacts, appli vraiment bof bof.
App not working
Once again the app is not working. I have constantly been getting the message “cannot connect to server” for the past few days. Please fix otherwise it’s not worth keeping my premium paid membership.
Best Dating App Hands Down
I wish all dating apps were done this way. That is all.
WORST APP
Terrible app. Always glitchy and lots of bot dudes and fakes. Got locked out and even after reset can’t get in so I guess it’s a sign I need to get away from this dumpster fire.
Interactive!
One of the two best sights for connecting with serious men looking to bond with other men.
Size filter
Please could you fix the size filter on the App ! That’s annoying 👎🏻
Log In issues
The app was working fine for the first day or two.I haven’t been able to log in after that.I open the app but it stuck in queue
Crazy Crashy
I love this app but after the most recent update, I’m getting crashes constantly. It’s easy to reproduce. When swiping through profiles, once I hit the end, I hit “back” to go into global profiles and the app exits.
Boring
This app is boring. Not much happens on it.
Notifications
App notifications don’t work, there isn’t even a way to turn them on in my iPhone Settings... please fix🙏
So many bugs with connecting to WIFI or cellular network...
Please just fix it (April 2019)
Today’s update 10/31/23
After taking today’s update, I can no longer send any messages. All I get is errors.
Love it
The people are so much nicer on here then other dating apps
Signing up
Can set up login. Check my setting and closed the app out multiple times and still nothing
Easy to use App
Happy with the App and it provides the right amount of features for using with my iPhone.

Great Community, Always-improving App
I’ve really appreciated the BC community for my years as a premium member. It is definitely more than a dating app. It’s a great place to connect with others who don’t quite fit in to the Grindrs of the gay app world. I’ve met several friends (and potentially more.) I really appreciate the improvements the app has made over the past several months - particularly the disappearing photo option. Their team has been responsive (which feels all but unheard of) and puts on a number of live events… I’m hoping to make it out to my first one soon. I do echo what others have said about wishing that features from the website like the forum and chat were available on the app, but I somewhat trust that they are trying to figure out a way to do it well. Thanks for building us such a great app, BC!! Keep those improvements coming!
Fix
Having problem with my account, I subscribe to BiggerCity and text some people and never get reply, i will be glad that can fix for me.
Easy to use
Everything's well laid out, offers more functionality than most other apps :)
Long distance-nope
Really tired of having to respond to people half a world away.
When i go on buzz it keeps crashing.
Please fix it
11 years using the app
Its always been great and great still
Don’t bother
Worst site I’ve ever been on. Nobody is ever online, messages ignored, etc. waste of time!
Awesome!
Great app!
Signal issues
Having trouble loading the app have full signal tells me I have no signal it’s the only app that does it
Really Intuitive
As simple and straight forward as it is, I find it to be a bit buggy when i send and receive enotes. It locks when you are sending messages and does not return to the default screen. I also wish it had tinder like features that do not require filling out search parameters that feel like interfaces. Maybe a group chat room with a simple feed to help it feel more like a community app than a single 1-1 communication app. Cam support that allows for quick communication. Picture liking can also be more of an experience by having a rate like system to help to keep my photos up to date. Also more flirts that unlock to keep me from forgetting about them. Maybe new flirts every month? These are all ideas you can have and use!
