The 4.0 update has made this the best f1 app by far. It’s fast, smooth and has loads of F1 info, whether you’re a McLaren fan or not
Upgrade prompt blocks app
Opened app and it promoted for upgrade, but blocked app being used until you upgrade. This is awful UX. I don’t want to upgrade apps until I choose to (eg on WiFi not data) and don’t like being held to ransom and forced to upgrade. I bet the upgrade isn’t that good either, and the old version is still obviously working below the upgrade dialog.

Layout is good, need spoiler protection
App layout is very good, feels smooth although store is laggy but the biggest improvement should be the notifications. There has to be more options that just on or not. News, race results, articles. But more importantly add a spoiler free option

Can’t report problems with app
Not been working tonight. Won’t work on any device we try and can’t report the problem via the apple web site either. Sometimes app loads and immediately goes to a black screen. Other times just get the blank/black screen.
Good app for a mclaren fan but needs to become more accessible.
This app has good contents and so enjoyable for a mclaren fan. However I would like to see a ‘speak text’ or other ways it could become more accessible for those with a disability.
Hope the engineers of this app aren’t the same as the F1 cars ☹️
Big fan of McLaren and loved the app last season - providing exclusive content, analysis and live commentary. Disappointed that with this “upgrade” the live commentary feed is not working in quali - keep getting “there was an error”. Have tried reinstalling and still doesn’t work.
Laggy
Cool app to have as a McLaren fan but I wish the app focus wasn’t just on f1, also it’s very laggy, also idk if it’s my fault but how do I see what collectibles I have? Dosent feel like I’m collecting anything if I can’t see what I’m getting

Would love to use this app but every time I try to open the app I have to wait for a email with a code,what’s going on ? I have registered but this doesn’t help.Update after Update this app still doesn’t work for me as I am still unable to access it.It should be easy to use this app to receive information from the team but why oh why is it so impossible to use.

Trying to sign up
I have been trying to sign up with McLaren racing app it does not work for iPhone! Please fix this! I want to buy things and enter promotions! For years I have been restricted to do so..
Miss the old version
The new 2026 version isn’t as user friendly. One of the best things was reading the live commentary and now it seems you can’t go back and read it when a session is no longer live. I eventually found where it would be, wasn’t easy to locate, and then all it said was the session was over. Despite having a drop down menu for each session they were all just blank. Not ideal for people living in countries that can’t necessarily watch every session live and want to catch up later. I will try and remain hopeful there’s just some bugs being worked out in the system and keep checking. What are the chances someone actually reads this?..

Easy to navigate, looks cool, informative. Not much to say, its a good app and I’ve been using it quite frequently. 5 stars.
Doesn’t work after update!
The app was quite promising until a recent update that asks you to enter your email address to login, which then crashes and opens iTunes! It won’t work at all now.
Great app to keep on track with McLaren
This is a great app to be on track with McLaren and keep your focus on how the McLaren team are performing. There may even be rewards for using the app but personally I haven’t been ‘lucky’ there.
Spoiler notification’s
Nice app but the admin is useless. Two wild in a row spilling the race for those that cannot watch live. How about sending spoiler safe notification’s???????!!!!!!
Need a fix ASAP

Version 3 has dumped landscape mode on the iPad
This app has gone from good (initial versions) to bad (more recent versions) to useless if you expect it to support landscape mode on an iPad (the newest version 3). App value seems to have run in inverse proportion to chassis performance. ☹️ Duly deleted. P.S. Viewing reviews in date order may be instructive. 💡
Great app - minor issue with notifications
App has some good content. Radio messages are a nice tough! There is one small issue where I get 2 notifications for each message. These are spaced about 3 mins apart. Minor but annoying.
Content vanished app impossible to use
This used to be a good app, And it used to be a good team, but the entire app is now just blank after launch. The content is deteriorating as fast as the team is. Glib comments ‘the best we could do’ etc is all it amounts to. The F-1 calendar is it’s best content.
Amazing but now incompatible
i love this app but the new update made it incompatible with my iphone i am stuck on ios 15.8 so both the mclaren app and the f1 app are now incompatible

Lacking
The app has gone downhill over recent years. Partners page is not up to date and has information relating to last year not how partnerships are progressing e.g the coca-cola. Missing things like driver profiles. Could be so much better to engage with fans.
Good app, little problem though
A very good app really love the insight it gives us to the team. However when I tap on season and choose an event from the season, the app sends me back to my phones home screen and I have to open the app again ??
No Landscape mode!
I really want to enjoy using this App. However, since I suppose most iPad users hold and mostly use there tablets in Lanscape. Most Apps will self adjust to either portrait or landscape depending on how it is held. Please can you consider making it do both…. It's quite infuriating to have keep turning my iPad around. 😬
Nice attempt, many bugs
The app is a fair substitute for serving multimedia content that would otherwise be viewed in a web browser. There are quite a few obvious bugs in the app, which leads one to wonder who is quality control checking it. The current bug standing out the most is related to the “Hype” 🧡 function. Users clicking on the heart to like a post in the app no longer have their “like” saved. Closing then reopening the app finds the like removed.
Love it!
Really easy to navigate, slick looking and regularly updated with behind the scenes videos and pics from the drivers and team. A must have if you’re a McLaren or F1 fan. Can’t wait to see what this season brings!!!

Well done for completing the Russian Grand Prix, Stoffel. Participating and finishing is far more important than just giving up. Screen locked on intro
The intro/sign up screen does not scale to fit properly thereby making it impossible to sign up as its non scroll page and you can’t see bottom 1/3rd. Tried on multiple devices and could not see complete sign up until installed on iPad. Tough to enjoy when people can’t sign up or use app

Treats fans with contempt
OK, so there is a bit of news about McLaren, but have you tried joining the supporters club, whatever they call it? I tried and have heard absolutely nothing at all, and dates offered for supporters visits etc. are years out of date. This app treats McLaren supporters with contempt suggesting they have no interest in us whatsoever.

Far too slow
This is a nice looking app. The images are clear and the content (if limited) is good. The biggest problem is the initial loading time. In this age of Apps it is unacceptable for an app to take sooo long to load. Most of the time I give up and use other apps for the same news. Considering McLaren is a speed based company this is a very poor show.

Can the McLaren be updated to rotate on iPads especially iPad Pro.

Not a bad effort but does just seem to be mainly a Twitter feed. However it needs a serious update. 2014 drivers, Car and Circuits still listed. It's 3 months into 2015!
