Defunct at Best
I had saved poems to read for my family and even though the selections were limited they were still archived here Trying to add and search for other poems stopped being available as an option on this app I’m still confused by the lack of depth and selections in the older days but now it’s all locked up and isn’t progressing at all Where’s the development and progress Who knows a better app for poem searches This is supposed to be it But this is what you get for free Neat Obviously it’s easier now to make my own folders but wow Maybe Poemhunter is just lost in the woods with a broken bow and scattered quiver in the mud along the river Sorry to say
Database Search
Go to search my favorite Poet (Poe) and nothing comes up not so much a Poemhunter more like Po…what? Nothing bumpkiss! Sheesh.
Used to be amazing
Poems are not showing. Blank scree.
Doesn’t even work :(
I have recently developed a love for poetry. I have written a few poems, been published, and got this app to hopefully get some good poems to read. I guess i should stick to the books because this was an epic fail. I searched up some of my fav poets and it said there was a ‘error’ and that they didn’t exist. Disappointed. Please look into this issue and i might download again if you update it. Thank you.
Not Receiving My Daily Poem…
-or ANY for that matter. I don’t know what the issue is, but someone look into this because I paid to receive daily poems, ad free and now I look for my poems, which I haven’t received in a few days, and everything is just blank. According to this page here, you last updated this app TWO YEARS AGO. Maybe it’s time for someone to get back on that? I await your response.
DO NOT USE/BUY
IT DOESNT WORK LOL
Is the App still Functional?
I visited the App after a while and realized that there is no data available now. But there is a link to go the website. I wonder if the App is still active and running. Please advise.
doesn’t work
every section is blank and the most i will get in terms of error message is “Generic Error”
Need more work
It works but still need more polishing. The only export option is sharing a picture but no text. My suggestion is to make a Lock Screen widget, which can show favorite poems or stanzas.
doesnt really work
im not sure if this is just my wifi connection, but i have tried this app on numerous occasions at different areas, yet it tells me i have an unstable network connection. very dissatisfied
Dosent work
There is no poems on here
Poem a day
You get one poem every day, which a great start to any day! Would have absolutely loved it if there was an option to hear them narrated!
stopped working
I absolutely loved this app, and I used it a lot, but it stopped accessing the internet. I can still see my saved poems, which is great, but it won't let me find any new ones. I loved this app and would appreciate some way to fix it.
Cant pay for full version
Title
All my poems vanished
I loved this app until all my saved poems disappeared?
Generic error
What is a generic error….. I just downloaded the app.
Great app, just one more thing...
This is a great app to look for poems but one additional feature could make it even better. Please add a dictionary ‘lookup’ contextual menu function to find definitions of words quickly. Then this app would be remarkable.
Confused
How do even log in? 😭😭
A good app, but annoying adverts
This is a very good app. However, I don’t like the advert.
Creative People
It is refreshing to know the contributions of creative individuals, offering plenty to learn and expand horizons of knowledge. It is a wonderful platform permitting access to meaningful contents and allowing writers and poets to freely express thoughtful ideas. Being a British poet and author, I constantly gain and share new perspectives. Regards Dr. Nazir(Birmingham)
App doesn’t work
Downloaded the app, nothing appeared on any screen. Searched “Frost” and “Emerson”, and it said it found “0 Poems” and “0 Poets” with these names.
More flexibility needed
Would be great if you could select genre/subject parameters. I prefer dark impactful poetry like Suicide in the Trenches. Which never comes through but is on the app.
Disappointing.
Not sure what the point of this is: the search function is terrible and often returns “no result” even when searching with the exact title of the poem you’re looking for. Much more efficient to just use a search engine. You’ll find what you’re after with considerably fewer ads.
Really good
Good for reading poetry, but I’ve found that I can’t submit a poem on the app, I have to go online and I find this very irritating, please could you fix it? Thanks
Uplifting
I’ve stopped listening to or looking at the news. I moved my BBCNews icon from the first page of my iPhone to the third page and filled the slot with the icon that takes me to Poem Hunter. Every day I get a random poem. Some are good some not so good but it’s definitely better than the news. For most of human history we have got our news from other people directly one-to-one. It was slow news and it was relevant to us. Now it’s easy to be bombarded with news all the time and I personally find that it upsets my equilibrium. So now I let other people tell me what’s happening. Friends ask me about some news item and I say I don’t know and they are happy to tell me.
Poems Aren’t Showing
Loaded the app ecstatic to dive into a poetry app that would let me save any poems I wanted only to discover that not a single poem was loaded on the app. The only error code was “Generic Error”
Gratitude
Whoever created this app deserves applause. It’s a marvellous way to while away sleepless hours exploring the gamut of human emotions, perspectives and verbal dexterity. Certainly there are quite a few ways in which it could be improved, but as a free app allowing a platform to poets and poetry worldwide I for one am wholly grateful.
Popups
Too many adverts. A full screen ad pops up after each poem you read; that is way too far. Currently this is the only one i can find that has the poems i want. When i find another without popups i'll use that.
Handy in a sense!
A good app, but needs some improvements. It has brilliant functions but has some region-based errors regarding login/sign-up. It’s great also that it has a vast log of poets (and their poems!), but some poems need alterations and spell-checks.
It’s worth it
For those who are great readers and for starters, this app is the best app I’ve had for reading poem, and keeping me mind of them problems.
App won’t open up
App won’t even open on my iPhone 14
Great with small bug.....
Great app but it seems to have a small bug. It loads poems alphabetically and only seems to do some of the poems for poets with loads of poems. Hopefully the devs can fix this?
So Nice But Not Working
I can't find a way to contact the developer. This app is amazing if it works. But only the Poet of the Day is displayed.😞
cannot see any poem。bug？
bug
Great app but
The ads disrupt the poetry’s flow Still pretty good
Poems don’t even load
Not sure what I’m doing wrong but all I get is a blank page. No poem loads, no search results load.
Great app, great potential
Easy to read loads of poems on the go, would love to see a comments/annotations option and a poem summery :) other than that love the app
Good collection. Bad design.
Vast collection of poems and poets. Where in lies the problem. The design makes it hard to discover poems. And shuffle is as per their mercy.
Login Required
Poets should be able to login and upload or edit their poems through this app.
Poemhunter
What a great app with a vast library of excellent, talented and gifted poets all bought back to life with each reading
App never wprked
Try as I might, I was never able to receive nor search for poems. It just took up space on my home screen, disappointing me.
Nice
Nice Application for poet
Search broken
The search field and browse tabs are broken. Receive "An error occurred" more often than actual results
Amazing app👌
Great 👍
Error
Cannot use the app because I get an error message. Money down the drain.
Mobile poetry encyclopaedia
Poetry books are doomed with this app on your tablet or phone. Gives you a different perspective and a daily poem!
No sign in capablities.
Searching other poets comes up in errors. However the random poems are good ones, it would be good to search other non famous poets/members poems and quotes.
