Very inconsistent
I have to delete the app once a month as it logs me out and doesn't recognize me. The deposit check feature via online check photo system has never worked. This app is only good to check balances with and that's about it. Needs a lot of work.

Great App
One of the easiest banking apps I’ve ever used. Loyal customer for nearly a decade now.
Terrible IT
Often need to change password as Face ID stops working and don’t have password handy. Goes down more than any other banking app I use. The system goes down. Upgrades take a week instead of hours in past. Only keep because I’ve been customer for decades and fees are low.
Doesn’t do face recognition
Works great except that it has never managed to get face recognition right
Repeated issues
This app doesn’t work about half the time I go to use it. Either the Face ID doesn’t work or the screen is completely blank. It’s so inconsistent that I changed my primary bank to one that has a functional app.

Deposits & Camera
Whrn taking a picture of the check for deposit, I wish the camera could take the picture automatically when the check was in focus rather than having to tap the screen to take the photo. Thanks!
CFCU App
The app is the most miserable app I’ve ever used. Most times it does not like my password and I’m forced to change to be able to use it. Because of this I have thought several time about changing banks. Nickname in the review is just as bad as trying to sign into my account.
Mobile check deposit bug
The camera orientation and the phone orientation appear to be opposite with this latest update making it very difficult to align a check to take a picture

Terrible
Having two apps is terrible. The + app is sideways on my iPad. A check wasn’t issued to my vendor Discover. I had it set up to pay off in full every month. Now when I get the bill there is $50+ in interest even though I’m paying it in full. You cost me money & I’m thinking of moving to a new bank.

Enjoy this app but would be nice if I could make a principle mortgage payment. Just a suggestion:-)

Face recognition not working
The face recognition does not work.
Not particularly intuitive
And may not be working properly? Tried to pay balance of credit card and there was no “submit” button. I had to enter “other amount,” which was the same amount of my balance, to get the “submit” button. Also, would be nice to have the option of paying on “due date,” rather than trying to remember the due date when scheduling.
Another terrible update.
Worst UI of any banking app. Literally moving people away from CFCU.

App trouble
Over the last few months I have been having trouble with my CFCU app. I use it mainly to deposit checks through mobile deposit. I have had to change my user name and then passwords nearly every time I need to log in and make a deposit. This was not the case until the last app update. Please fix. ❤️
It’s useful
I don’t really use this app much unless I need to check to see how much I have, transfer money, normal things like that. I do find it annoying when I have to type in a code to have access to my account by sending me one through messages, but I understand it’s for security reasons and I will respect that but that’s just my pet peeve about this app. Overall it’s very convenient to have than going on to safari or internet explorer to look up the amount you have currently
The app used to work great
I’ve had this app for years, been banking with them for years and the last year the app has decided to stop showing me my bank account and the only way for me to see how much I have in it if I do a transaction which is very frustrating.
Bank in my pocket
I live 3 blocks from CFCU, but rarely go there, because the app is so much easier. If it dispensed cash from my phone I might never visit the branch location at all
Unhappy!
This is way more work than it used to be! They joined 2 accounts into one with no explanation. I want my old credit Union back with a real live person that answers a phone! This stinks!!!!
App access
I loved the app but it doesn’t seem to be keeping up with technology. It now requires internet access instead of just cellular. I don’t always have internet access and rely on cellular data. It isn’t convenient at times. Also, wish it had facial recognition as I don’t have a way to do fingerprint.
Update: Better Useless; Barely
The app continues to be a sore point in my CFCU experience. They need someone to fix the UI cause it looks like a middle school project, and only barely functions better than one.

So far has been easy to navigate and have had very little issues with any bugs or site being down for maintenance.

This app seems incredibly out of date, and entirely sub-par for a credit union which is so large and doing very well. Having to have a code sent to me several times a day for “security measures” and randomly deleting my log in information.. you require a password so log I can’t remember it, so I set up Touch ID. I use the Touch ID I take extra steps in app to set up and I get locked out. Just utterly horrible. It’s 2019.
Needs a UX designer
App is slow performing not optimized for iPhone. Too many clicks needed to navigate. Needs the ability to swipe in and out of screens rather than have to click the tiny back arrow. The “view all” section of an account is clunky. Search entry options are not mobile friendly. New version released February 2022 does not resolve any of these issues. New navigation buttons were added to the bottom and a very light orange color which makes them hard to see. Doubtfully an accessible for web contrast. Only improvement I can see is now when the code is texted to you to authorize you don’t have to manually retype the number you can grab it from the iOS suggestion box.
One of the worst apps ever. Thee guys are lost in the stone ages.

Can’t see the main account page
I can’t see my main account page. I don’t what happened but it started a few weeks ago. I even deleted it and downloaded it again. Right now, this app is useless to me because I can’t see my loan balance.
It’s not that good
The tiled windows is a major step backwards. It’s hard to read ,navigate and very very clunky. When it actually works it does an ok job, the remote check deposit is the only thing saving this app from being trash.
Convenient
This app makes banking easy for me. I live in a different state now. I can mobile upload checks, transfer money and check my account at any time. Really appreciate being able to do this. CFCU is the best bank ever.💞
Clumsy
Security is fine, but being unable to use gmail and requiring an 8 digit security code taxes my iPhone capabilities.
