Good app
I have used this s app from r awhile now and I really like it
App doesn’t load
For the better part of a year haven’t been able to use the app. Waste of money going on three years this app not working and trying to get Dte to cancel the additional charges is insane.
Login issue
Need to uninstall and install again to resolve the login issue
No security…?
I’ve had the app for maybe only a week and somehow my account got hacked, my email and password all became invalidated. I couldn’t even reset my password. Then later I got an email directly from Apple saying my email was used to log into the app on a different device. I never even used my Apple account to sign up. I changed my passwords but still, I need support asap! Idk if I should keep the app once it’s resolved if it ever is…also the whole point of the app is to see your current usage and whatnot…but you gotta pay for that🤨 smh All us basic plan people just sees inaccurate estimates and no activity until it’s done.
Getting worse
No longer does live energy use. Takes a few minutes or longer just to try to update current usage, then does nothing.
Great support
Had issue with connecting to the network. Contacted support and problem diagnosed and solved quickly.
Does not work
When this app was first introduced, I thought ti was interesting and somewhat useful. However, it stopped working and I find it quite disappointing.
Unreliable
Have had the app for a couple of years. Will work with good data…….for awhile. Then 👎. CS is responsive and tech support has responded pretty quickly in the past. But this last incudent has left me with only daily info and no response even though it has been “escalated to tech” for resolution.
Most Recent Update is a Failure
After the last update, the advisor tab no longer launches.
Good and informative app
I like to use this app. It helped me to save money on my energy usage and be more energy efficient.
Login issues
I have had this app and the unit it connects to for years but now I can’t login to the app because of persistent login errors. I have no problems with logging into the DTE energy app, just the Insight app. Did all the “fixes” and still have the same problem.
Mediocre app
Half the time it doesn’t even work.
Fairly slow and glitchy
Good to have this information, when it works, but often it doesn’t. Things are often slow to load. DTE broke my account months ago and this app still doesn’t let me log in, so hopefully the same doesn’t happen to you.

This App allows you to track your usage so you become more responsible with your energy consumption
Wish it worked
On peak reading just disappeared? Down often. With the continued rate hikes and increasing profits of DTE, you think they’d let us see our usage and be able to spend some money on this app. Perhaps there’s a reason why they take it down all the time.
This app is for electric only
I just found out by calling the help center number on this app that this is for electricity only. As I am a gas only customer, this is unfortunate for me. I didn’t see anything with the App Store, noting this was only for electricity as energy can be both gas and electric. Just a little note for people considering adopting this app. Thank you.
Garbage
The app has failed to open on my last 3 generations of iPhones. Total waste.
Even more value if readable
Developers focused on style over readability. Many of the dynamic statistics are displayed using a typeface so small and grayed out as to make the information unreadable for aging eyes. The app desperately needs a high contrast mode.
Really slow to open
This app is terrible to open. And it is terrible to switch between the different days or months of use.
Super buggy app
I just downloaded this app and I’m not sure if it’s new or just horrible by design, but I’ve only been able to open the app once all day. All other times it freezes while trying to log in.

This is gonna be the most inaccurate app. Insight said my bill was gonna be around $80. It ended up being 120. I don’t understand the point of this app.
