Excellent service - far better than other companies I’ve used. Seamless collection, very quick to quote AND importantly they pay you what they’ve quoted in the main unlike another well known company. App very easy to use

Whilst We Buy Books are quite choosy about which books they will accept, The service was very good .

When I first used We Buy it was very fast, now it’s slower and slower every time, this time 10 days before they even acknowledge they arrived.

Had over 400 books to sell so sold some to we buy books and it was very well organised with a pick up and delivery well executed. Company had books sorted and my order completed with payment proceeded quickly. Will sell more books.
Terrible app
Totally inaccurate pricing, registered first edition Harry Potter books as 20p 🙄 do not use, unreliable
Easy to use app, but some drawbacks
The app is extremely easy to use, to scan and add or delete items. I was very surprised at how many good quality books, CDs and DVDs were not wanted. Also, many of the prices offered were very poor - lots of items for only 10p! But I needed to get them sold asap, and at least was better than giving them away to charity. Of 8 large boxes, half were sold to WeBuyBooks. The packing instructions and sending process (drop-off in my case) was easy. Overall good, but I’d have liked to have made a few extra quid!
Updating seems to produce a fault
I would’ve said this was a good app and I’ve used it several times. I opened it just now and it told me to update. I did that. When I click on open, it takes me back to the page. It says I need to update the app. Repeat. I’ve tried closing the app and going directly to the App Store where it tells me the app has been updated and I can open it and once again I’m told I need to update the app. So it’s unusable.
App glitch?
After 2 very easy sells, the App kept asking to be updated even tho’ I was using the latest version. Result: I had to re-scan 26 books twice and still failed to sell. 3rd time lucky 🤞
Good Service
Regularly sell unwanted books. Prompt efficient service and customer service extremely helpful
Not worth it
Only given you a couple of pence per book and DVD really not worth it wouldn’t recommend it. Very disappointing.
Halved it
Not too impressed. Told me three of my items were not up to scratch and that they were going to “recycle them” did not leave me an option to request their return which I am a bit annoyed about and in doing so halved the amount they said they would pay me. Not very happy with that.
Impossible to scan enough books these days ☹️
I have pretty much given up with this app. I scan dozens of books every week for a charity and it’s got to the point where I am regularly unable to send orders because so few books are given an offer by the app. This used to be my first choice app. These days Sell Your Books and Music Magpie are getting our trades instead.

Won’t use again
System easy to use but in the case of one book I sold the response was “Unfortunately, some didn’t meet our condition guidelines and therefore we can’t accept them. As all the rejected items were valued at less than £3.00, these items have now been recycled responsibly.” This was a hardback cookbook with some stains on the cover - the condition when I bought it secondhand from a used bookstore . The money is irrelevant it’s the waste of a usable book that bothers me. I should have donated it to a charity shop, which is what I’ll do from now on rather than selling to this company.
Update fail
Seem to be in perpetual loop of please update and then won’t update or open so can check account. Anyone else?!

Feel scammed
Sent over 60 DVDs all in good working condition. Was sent an email stating the ones quoted a higher price had “severe scratches” so received £0 for them. Strange how they all worked and were fine before sending…
Made some books go missing
The apps accepts more books than another I also use but mostly offers lower prices. Submitted a large box and was told several books weren’t in the box. I checked the box twice against the list I submitted and they were most definitely sent so not impressed. Will stick to the other app that offers more per book.

I recently traded some books in mint condition with this company. Today I received an email to say that over half of those books did not meet their standards (they were new and unopened in the main). I was further informed that they had been “recycled”. I have requested images of the unacceptable condition stated. No reply. Use another company, much better experience.
Easy and efficient
This is an excellent site for selling unwanted books, puzzles and DVDs. Highly recommend.
Terrible company
They have said that they didn't receive most of the books I sent - this is because they were in two boxes (as advised by them to keep boxes to a certain weight. They have 'lost' one of the boxes and have sent me less than 20% of the trade because they have lost the box with the valuable books in it
Excellent service
As always excellent service with payment received on the day they received the books. Royal Mail picked up the books on the specified day - so. easy.
Disappointed
They have usually been very quick with checking and payment, but this time it took them 10 days! I was worried that my parcel was missing, even though I had proof of delivery. Customer service was terrible, rude and condescending. Also their price per book has decreased making them not so competitive. May revert back to their main competitor…
InPost
It would be great if I could take my boxes to an InPost locker. I can’t always get to the Post Office when they are open or be home when a van comes to collect them.
BOOKS MUST BE IN PERFECT CONDITION
They need to make it clearer that your books must be in perfect condition when you send them here otherwise they will be disposed of and you won’t be paid out!! I sent some book in good condition - admittedly not perfect as they had some light wear and tear - but they claimed they were unusable and disposed of them. A massive shame as they had so much life left in them.

I have used We Buy Books a few times now and it is always a really efficient experience. Very pleased.
Unacceptable Staff Behaviour.
Claiming books I sent smell of smoke. This is untrue. I believe this false claim came after I followed up for the third time after the parcel arrived Wednesday but had not been marked as received. They are charging me for the books to be sent back. They have threatened to destroy them if I do not. I assume that really they would sell them and just not pay me. There is no way the books smell of smoke and I do believe they just didn't like that the third time I asked was on a weekend.
