Great App
Simple and very easy to use
Does not work on iWatch
Does not work on iWatch. False advertisement.
Goo stuff.
Great having tide info. An extra might be water temps. Perhaps available at specific locations in the area?
A few issues
Rather complicated to set a favorite or set a complication on the watch. The done button doesn’t seem to work and the note section types white on white. This app isn’t keeping up with new releases of iOS or something because it used to work beautifully.
Variably confusing
The display format seems to change, sometimes to elaborate, hard-to-comprehend charts. Can’t get back to simpler charts. Also hard to determine what date is.
I love this app
It’s kept me in the know for a long time now! Very helpful
Doesn’t work
Won’t load Bangor Maine location. Shows for half a second then closes
Needs Update
Fantastic offering for the price (free). But, the tide graph watch complication simply takes up space, showing very little data… only one high and low tide, as dots, rather than two, and times… and only the current tide level. I’m also not a fan of the tide graph complication look. I like the look of Dawn Patrol, with two tides per day, time of day lines, and no blue under the graph. Would be nice for the tide graph complication options to be more informative, like Dawn Patrol.
I would give 5 stars if it didn’t crash so often
Can’t open the app on occasion because it crashes and closes itself before I can see anything.
Good app, but:
Good basic tide app, but issues with when you click on a station from the map, it opens then immediately shuts. Sometimes takes 3-4 tries before the tide data stays open, other times just once is all that’s needed. Annoying glitch.
A Rare Unicorn
No in-app purchases. No subscriptions. No data collection. No ads. Clear, concise, and useful presentation of data. I practically did a double-take when I ran across this app store listing. This app is a rare unicorn. A vestige of the App Store that was. All apps should be this good and respectful of their user base. Cherish it and hope that the developer never changes their tact.
No longer works on my iPhone
This was a great app but now it Crashes as soon as you pick a location on my iPhone 14.
Almost perfect
Overall, I love this app. The only exceptions are the Apple Watch complications. The moon phase and tide gauge provide wildly different information, and while the tide gauge appears to be more accurate, it provides no indication of flood vs ebb. Feature request: change the circular height mark to an up or down arrow. The tides strongly affect currents.
Great tidal info but…
Love the app. Exactly the info I want and great layout, but the widget doesn’t show any information except the tidal point on the line. No location or numbers.
Simply the best!
This is the best tide app that I have found. Works perfect for me at the SC coast.
Useless in Canada.
No data for Canada. Useless.
Crashes on the iPhone
It's nice to have a watch complication with the tide station of choice. Using the app on the phone is not easy to complete tasks like setting favorites. The detail screen for a tide station must have a bug.
Essential App for exploring the coast
We live in Arroyo Grande CA on the central coast of California between Big Sur and Santa Barbara. Lots of rugged coastline to explore. Without any knowledge of the tides a person could easily find themselves stranded because of the rising tide trapping them in a secluded cove. I have had to warn many unwary tourists to head back to the main beaches to avoid being stranded. We use this app every time we beach walk which is very often.
App crashes on iPhone 13 Pro
Love the idea of a good Apple Watch tide complication, as well as tide info on the phone, it the app doesn’t update location on phone or watch - and that’s when it works. The app crashes constantly on iPhone 13 Pro, and it doesn’t update location on Apple Watch. Most recently, the app won’t open on Apple Watch 7. I’m not sure if the developer is still involved with this app… it’s very buggy.
Good but needs improvement
The iPad version the app crashes every time I try to open details for a station which makes it unusable on that platform. Generally the iPhone version is a good app but it can still be clunky in selecting stations. If I select a station, view the details page w/ tidal graphic and almanac then go back to map, select another station, when I attempt to open the detail page for that station it opens for a second then reverts to the map…it will open properly if I select it again. Usable but as I said, clunky. The map functionality and the data display w/ graphic and almanac are great and why I keep the app.
Great tide app
I love the ad-free version
Apple Watch not working
All of a sudden this stopped working on my Apple Watch. It’s a shame cuz I really liked this app.
Unresponsive developer, moon data off
App is aesthetically pleasing and there are multiple options for iPhone widgets… but developer is unresponsive to bug reports, and moon rise and set data differ considerably from that of US Naval Observatory
Nice
Working so nice!
No support for Canada
Looks like a great clean app, but useless in the Canadian App Store
Stopped working on my Apple Watch
I loved this app when I could check the local tide level on my watch. Now the app on the watch starts to open and abruptly closes. Would be 5 star if it worked on the iPhone and the Apple Watch!
Gorgeous
Gorgeous app. The most useful and functional tool to chart the tide seen yet. Highly recommend this one to all boaters, sailors, surfers, and beach bums.
No Canadian tide stations
Useless in Canada. Not sure why it would be available in the Canadian App Store.
Little laggy
The app is a little laggy. I would like to see an update to fix the lag. And also I would like to see new performances in this app. It has tons of potential on being a big app. So just fix the lag issues and you will have more people downloading the app more often. Sincerely Mitchell Hubert
easy to use and enjoyable
I have been searching for a good tides app for a while and most are just maps, but ocean watch makes it easy to see not only the current tide but the past and future tides. it makes checking the tides less of a task and more fun!
Tide App
Doesn't work for Canada!
Awesome tide app
Without a doubt the best tide app available . The widget is awesome too. Get it or be a loser!
