Exceeds our needs
BRYX has done a wonderful job keeping our staff informed. This app is used by all our members. It’s a great primary and backup, when our stations lose internet connectivity. I love that we can add surveys to either an address or a square mile! I will always recommend BRYX for Fire and EMS.

Since i updated the app it sucks. I only have one alert tone. Before i had different ones for fire and ems. Now all the same. That’s if it ever goes off now.
**Update**Recent update terrible
**Update** They fixed the maps issue, now you can choose your own app for navigation. Thanks! Having to go into settings to pick your rig is still a pain. Would be nice to have it back somewhere on the home page The most recent update moved all the notifications for rigs even deeper into the system. Half of the rigs aren’t even listed under the filters. Have to go into settings to see all of them to choose which rig you want notifications for. For departments where you move around each shift so you change notifications for rigs often this update is a pain! Additionally, they have removed the ability to change which mapping app to use for routing. Now forced to use the garbage Apple Maps app.
Update
I’ve been using Bryx Mobile over a couple years now this really is great app Everything was working fine until this new update. My phone used to be on silent and the critical mode will go through now my phone is still on silent and the critical messages don’t go through and sometimes my phone is not on silent. I still get a delay for getting the call couple months ago I was working fine. I had no problem with this app until the update. I don’t know what you guys did with it, but I would appreciate you guys fixing that this was one of the number one apps to use in the Fire and EMS world and I don’t wanna lose that support that you guys had through the years.
New update
Bryx is an overall great app, the most resent update however is a prime example of “it’s not broke don’t fix it.” The layout and usability, took a bit of a turn for the worse. Will continue to use it because there’s no alternative, but wish I never updated it. This step backwards is the only reason I’m giving 3 stars instead of 5.
Quick access to off/on duty
I would like to recommend a feature where users can easily go in and out of duty. Long press on app iOS shortcut iOS action button. Widget I do it often. And going into the app is not the worst thing but seems like a nice value.
Notifications
Hey ever since I got the new update the app is randomly shutting off all my notifications toggle button and I’m missing call notifications. I use a iPhone fyi. Even “I am on duty” on the app.
Car Play Functionality
Thank you, for the Car Play access. If possible, it would be great if the following items were added. Navigation options for apps to use. Notes with time stamps, and updates for call to see while enroute. With that said, the app is funtional and works well.

This latest update is not user friendly it is hard to navigate and difficult to see units please go back to the old platform
Latest UI isn’t a great step
The latest UI update is terrible, they removed formatting on the job details list so now it’s just a massive wall of text hard to parse. Small little changes like this can make it go from great to a pain to use and parse
Awesome app for FD and EMS
Bryx has been awesome since Day 1 in our department. Seeing who is going to a job (as a volunteer department) helps us so much. Only thing we wish Bryx had was an Apple Watch app.

Works well
App works well and agree with others that there are delays at time. It would be great if this also worked with Apple Watch.

Users, Don’t do the recent update. It makes the app look and run like an intern made it in 2008. Who decided these changes were needed?
Scanner
After the latest update the scanner feature only works when the app is left open. Any ideas? Otherwise a decent alternative for FD notifications

I would love to give it 5 stars.
I work for a medium sized department of 11 stations with 250 employees. We have been using a different app for the past year and we are now giving Bryx a test run. Maybe it is because of the test run, that the one feature I would love to see is missing. I have been unable to filter the calls by unit. That is ok during the day, but at night it would be nice to turn off all other units except the one you are assigned to. Other than that this is a great app. I really love the ease of use and the mapping is very clean looking.
Don’t update
New update is trash, not even sure how to change which apparatus I can get tones for anymore. I’ve gone through all the tabs on the settings and not a single one takes me to the list of apparatus I could select to turn on/off from prior to the update.
Works well… usually
It works well most of the time. However, there are occasions with noticeable delays between devices - it’ll go off in the rig 30 seconds before my phone/vice versa. Also, since switching to iPhone, I’ve noticed that it completely mutes the phone when the app is open. Any audio that is playing will pause when the app is open.

The app is great and the customer support can’t be beaten.
Very touchy
Just updated and trying to scroll the supplementals for the call is way too touchy. It keeps sending me back to the map instead of scrolling. Wish I never updated. Edit to add: the supplemental information no longer updates on its own when dispatch puts info there. What a downgrade.
Great app for volunteer fire departments
Lets you know who is responding and where they are going. You can track apparatus on the map. The app alerts you to calls just like a pager, only better. You can set different alert tones for fire calls or for ems etc. it also gives you directions to the call if needed. They thought of everything! Rochester NY
New UI is Worse
The new UI update made the app much more clunky. For example, changing notification settings involves opening several more menu pages than the previous version. This is much more tedious for people who are members of multiple agencies.

I originally didn’t like this app...but after the newest up date I like it... enroute to the incident the phone updates is to new information we may need.
New interface is not practical
The new interface makes seeing apparatus much more difficult, the map is slow to load, and it is more difficult to locate calls. Please go back to old interface
New update
Was great until this new update. It takes forever to figure out who’s responding. And the colors are just all over the place.
App crashes
App crashes when I open it then I restart it then it’s fine it started when I last updated it
Great tech support
They reply very fast and get what you request done. Very happy with the service.
Horrible update
UI changes for IOS is horrible. Also can no longer use google maps for mapping (apple maps places wrong location when navigating unlike google maps).
CarPlay
The newest update removed Bryx from Apple CarPlay.
Missing vital features
This app has potential but is too basic for now. Settings should be stored in iCloud so I don't have to manually alter them on a new phone or iPad. I should also be able to set the alert tone by unit rather than call type (the call types are meaningless with how our CAD interfaces). Being unable to upload an alert tone of my own is a huge drawback. You should be able to toggle critical alerts inside the app itself. These are little things but for an app that just has one real job they add up, especially the limited alert tone library.
Awesome!
Love this app, use it for multiple different agency's. The map doesn't always work, and sometimes is not accurate, but the job card info is great.
Need real time information for events
Excellent UI and interface. However, not all dispatch information is provided until AFTER the incident. There is no real time information on units responding, all the call notes from the EMD, unit status cannot be seen until the call has been completed.
Stopped working correctly
It apparently doesn’t want to work with an iPhone. I receive the jobs but stopped getting alerts and notifications. No one can figure it out. Not even tech support.

Find a better app.
Awful support, if that of any. UI / alerts are half broken. Parsing is a joke. The commercial really had us intrigued but after zero support after countless emails we moved on.
