This app changed my life
Not the prettiest but it’s simple and it works, it like an excel sheet but love how you can customize sheet and look at income and expenses over time. I have been using it for 4 years now. I love all the different categories too!

Do not use this poorly maintained application, whose developers have ignored a critical issue for over five years. From 2017 to 2022, I relied on this app for tracking all my financial transactions, but it eventually failed to restore my database from backups. Despite repeatedly contacting the developers with detailed descriptions and screenshots, they consistently disregarded the issue, adopting a stance that it was the user’s fault rather than acknowledging their app’s shortcomings. I spent considerable time searching for an alternative, but most available options lacked crucial functionality. Only a year ago did I finally find a suitable replacement—an app that’s not only functionally equivalent but also visually superior and significantly more user-friendly. Without exaggeration, it’s genuinely better in every way. Therefore, I strongly recommend against using this app unless you’re willing to risk losing access to your data—especially when migrating to a new device. Instead, consider competitor apps or the one I discovered: “A-Finance: Wealth Management.”

Old Design & No new features for years!
We haven’t seen any major updates on this app for years. It has very limited functionality compared to newer apps, no Shortcuts support for automation, old design, no widgets, does not link to any bank account.
Amazing App, but…
Great app, works great, everyone should start using it if they want to improve their finances. The four star is because the app icon is not properly updated for the new IOS, the glass icons looks horrible next to the other that are actually updated. Please update this, the app deserves it.
good apps BUT
this is a good apps, unfortunately: * unable to scroll all the entries, only halfway. there's no button to scroll down fully. If u have a lot of entries - and want to view / edit the entries - it's a BIG headache.

Не работает синхронизация данных и курс валют через dropbox уже много месяцев. Выбивает ошибку «попробуйте позже» Крашит приложение припопытке отправить это сообщение по Обратной связи iphone 11 pro. Покупал полную версию, но с такими багами нужно было продолжать пользоваться бесплатной версией.
Резервная копия не работает
Приложение хорошее, но! Пытаюсь выгрузить резервную копию в iCloud - ошибка, нет соединения. Данные важные, без этой функции - бесполезно. Версия платная куплена. VPN не помогает . iPhone 15 , последняя iOS. Доступы все даны.
Не обновляется курс валют
Приложение отличное! Но с пятницы не обновляется курс валют :( и приложение падает после попытки использовать обратную связь

I was dumb enough to ask for the full version because I had trouble with the basic version. I assumed the full version would be a little bit more extensive and user-friendly. It’s not I don’t know how anybody even uses this thing. Don’t waste your time.

Хорошее приложение , есть возможность формировать свои списки и делать их доход /расход , но после последних обновлений Айфона виджет стал омерзительно заторможенный - пользоваться неудобно.
Forthcoming payments.
Could be a good programme, but unable to customise repeat payments for every 28 days (4 weeks). This option is available on other platforms and is very useful. A lot of incomes and outgoings are geared up for 4 weekly payments now, and it would be cool if this app could be updated include that.

Simple but Powerful
My wife and I have used this app for years to track our spending and I have been so pleased with it. The ability to sync between devices means we can coordinate our spending. IT IS NO FRILLS, and would love some additional updates (like auto or background syncing) but it’s also free and does the job. I have not found a single other app over the years, paid or free that does this simple task so cleanly.

08/26/19-Love it!!!! Well here is an update. This app gets better and better. I tried the import function and it went flawlessly. I am impressed at how easy and the control I had over it. I simply created a csv download from my capital one credit card (full site, doesn’t work in the app). This created a sheet in safari. Then hit the share icon and selected Cost Track. From their it allows you to select the trx date, debit and credit amounts, cost sheet, comment etc. Of course the comment in Capone doesn’t match your categories so I simply put them all to a miscellanies account then changed them. By importing it into Numbers you can change the description etc. then shared that file into Cost Track and this was much easier since it allowed me to edit the description and a few other items before import. Still hands down the best financial/budgeting app in the App Store. I have tried most all them. 01/12/19 They have now added the ability to split expenses once you have entered the full amount into one account then you can slide and split it as many ways as you want. I have used it for a year now and love it. I track both credit card purchases and bank debit card purchases. I have it setup to automatically enter my income every month on certain days. Granted we are retired with a fixed income from 4 different sources. It does a magnificent job. Can’t say enough about this app. Best one out there for truly tracking income and expenses. 03-06-18 My budget amounts which I allocate to each category every two weeks it set up in a separate cost sheet. By making it recurring it automatically is included in my overall budget whenever that two week period comes around. I can even change the budget amount and it will include the correct amount for the upcoming two week budget period. Isn’t that amazing. 02-22-18 Now that I have used this app for a while I don’t believe there is a better budgeting app for IOS. This is amazing. The more I use it and learn all that it will do I am just astounded. I have been budgeting on a spreadsheet for 40 years and this is the only app that will do everything I want it to do. Not being able to split entries (I have a nice work around and it doesn’t happen that often) this is perfect. It syncs so I enter everything on my iPad using split screen with this app on one side and my credit card or bank account on the other side. Works beautifully. Then just sync and there it is on my iPhone which I carry all the time. Checking balances is a whiz. Once you learn it you will never use anything else. Please keep this up going. 02-13-18 - One thing that would be useful is the ability to split expenses but this is not a deal breaker. I just hope 2 things, 1 that when it will sync a year or 2 of data without bombing out, 2 will this app continue to be supported instead of dropping off like so many others I have had but finally just went away. 02-01-18 I am back again. The only weakness currently is not allowing one entry to be split between to budget accounts. You have to make multiple entries to split the store bill between accounts and that is something I do quit often. Not a deal breaker but it takes longer to enter transactions. SO FAR I LIKE IT A LOT. The sync using DropBox works flawlessly. I wish it would do it through iCloud. But setting up the Dropbox account was pretty easy. Now lets see if they keep the app updated for future releases of IOS. If not that will be a bummer since it will become useless over time like some other great apps I have loved but have gone by the wayside. —————————- 02-06-18 Been doing a home budget for 40 years which I originally started on 13 column accounting paper and eventually transitioned to a spreadsheet (currently Excel). I have never found a budgeting program that makes it possible to do the same thing I do in Excel. This is the first on to even come close. With a little creativity and some fine tuning I think it is going to work thus the reason for only 4 stars. If it works I will change it to 5 stars. Now a little about how I budget. My Excel spreadsheet has 44 columns for difference categories of expenses and around 350 rows at which point I start a new spreadsheet. I enter one check/credit card/debit card transaction per row (this allows my to split a single expenditure into multiple expense categories if needed). When I receive income whether wages or other it is entered onto one single row into the category it belongs to. My wages are split up between all expense categories to match against the expenses in that column. The total at the bottom is my balance I have to spend in the category. The total of all balances matches my check register. Credit card expenses are entered into the category they belong to and then the exact opposite amount usually positive goes into a category called credit card then when the credit card payment is made it comes out of the credit card column (this way the expense has already been recorded). This app allows me to allocate income/wages to the expense categories and also enter my expense into the categories as well. INCOME IS ENTERED POSITIVE AND EXPENSES NEGATIVE. Thus a positive balance is good and a negative one not so good. This also allows you to transfer funds between accounts if on is to high and another to low. I created 4 cost centers. One for expense entries, one for allocation which is recurring every two weeks and one for income which is recurring monthly/biweekly. By doing this and combining balances in the cost funds and making the allocation and income accounts recurring I can, with very little adjustment, keep a running balance of each budget category and have it with me on my iPhone wherever I go. The test will be this Friday when my first recurring allocation and one income happen on the same day. We will see if it matches my spreadsheet. If so yahoo I can not carry it with me and do away with my paper copy which only had the balances on it for each budget category.
It doesn't print or export to csv
This program would be amazing if you could print your data and export it to csv.
Best Expense track ever
Thanks to this app I can keep track of my expenses. When I’m in a hurry I use the widget. It would be wonderful to have a search tool within the app.

(Ich besitze iPhone 11) Die App ist wirklich gut und funktioniert genauso wie ich sie auch benötige..deshalb habe ich jetzt dort all meine Finanzen abgespeichert.. und JETZT kann ich keine Gelder mehr hinzufügen da ich ein Abo brauche um diese App weiter benutzen zu können... IMMER wenn ich auf das + zum Geld hinzufügen gehe erscheint ein Feld auf dem ich diese Abo Möglichkeiten habe..dar ich alle meine Finanzen dort eingetragen habe zwingt mich diese App somit ein Abo zu machen sonst könne ich die App nicht weiter benutzen!!! Ich hoffe das wird geklärt.

No instructions
This app comes with no instructions or examples. When you click on Help in the Menu bar you get a pop-up with the statement "Help isn't available for Cost Track". The Support and Website links don't work. I'm trying to figure out how to get the money I paid for this worthless application refunded.
Useful App
Is a lot more simple than Apps like Yelp. All I really want to do is put in all my Direct debits, and standing orders and have it tell me how much money I have left for the month so I can budget accordingly. I then enter when I pay for something so I can stay on track. Straightforward and easy to use.
Too simple
The app does what it says in description. I deal with a lot of petty cash for work and I find the app to be non-intuitive. Subjectively, I couldn’t get used to it. It takes me too long to figure out what goes where and for what purpose. Although it’s rather simple, but as I said, it’s not intuitive enough to add things on the go. I find it much easier to just put a note on my phone or on a piece of paper/receipt than add it via app. The UI design looks awful, very outdated.
Currency rates bug
I really enjoy this app! But in 2022 it’s stop working properly. Currency rates not updating, only few times in this year. Please fix it.

It took me a bit to get use to transfer or log in the information. Once I did that it is so easy.
No Bank Sync Functionality
App seems to be nicely designed and be simple enough to use. The only problem is that they seem to want you to enter all of your expenses and incomes manually. Not sure who has the time for that. Was hoping for an app to just take care of all that for me and categorize automatically. I know there are many apps by larger companies that do this.

Hatten die App auf dem iPad meiner Frau gekauft, mit der Absicht all unsere Geräte per Dropbox miteinander zu synchronisieren. Da der In-App-Kauf für die Vollversion jedoch nur an eine einzige Apple-ID gebunden ist, kann man höchstens noch das iPhone meiner Frau zusätzlich synchronisieren, was uns so gut wie gar nichts bringt. Mir erschliesst sich nicht, was die App gegenüber einer geteilten Excel-Tabelle großartig an Mehrwert bietet und 14 Euro Einmalkauf rechtfertigt. Würde das Geld am liebsten wieder zurückhaben und auf eine andere App umsteigen. Für Menschen, auf die das oben beschriebene Szenario nicht zutrifft, jedoch ausreichend.
Amazing, but suspicious DropBox settings
I love the app, it's simple to use, clear information and some fun icons to identify things. All was great until I did the setup to sych with my iPhone through DropBox. It wan'ts access to all my DropBox files and folders and to that I say no, no. All the other Apps I have that synch through DropBox, clearly state that I am granting acces to the App's folder in my DropBox. Not all my files!! If they ever fix this, I will come back, until then, no thank you.
The old way is gone, and Cost Track is here!
I had a digital ledger on my phone before Cost Track. The reason I switched over was because the free app I was using was no longer being supported. I needed something else to help me keep up with expenses, so I looked around and Cost Track seemed to have everything I was looking for. But you have to purchase the app. I Don’t Purchase Apps. That ain’t ya boi. I’m over here balling on a budget and paying for software on my phone when a free alternative exists? No thank you! However… I started to think about how important a good manual ledger was for me, that would take several balance sheets into account and spit out a grand total. I then remembered how my free option just went up and left for the undiscovered 16th dimension. One phrase came to mind: “You get what you pay for.” So I decided to pay for Cost Track and give it a try. Thank the Sweet Lord that I did! Had everything I was looking for and then some. I’ve been rocking with Cost Track for AT LEAST a year and some change and it’s still one of the better purchases I’ve made to date. You truly do get what you pay for! Thanks Cost Track team!

Like the app a lot with a couple requests
I really like the app a lot. It is very clean and useable. I use it to track my monthly lunch cost and expenses. But, I would love for two things to be improved: 1) I wish there was a way to save a $0.00 event, currently it will only save as a draft, and 2)The export doesn't work very well for me when trying to send my monthly expenses in an excel or numbers file.
Syncing not user friendly
At first, app seems like what i needed and easy to use. But what Is frustrating to me is paying $10 for the full app in order to have access to synchronization for my husband to share our budget and instead of being user friendly, it’s extremely difficult to use. When I open my Dropbox (after syncing and after sharing & making it possible for him to edit), the folder to our cost sheet doesn’t show and all the folders that do show have code. So I’m not sure how they expect him to edit this. I then email customer service and they repeat to me what their FAQ section says, which I’ve read 5 times & followed but still don’t understand how to edit. It’s just frustrating that they charge so much for an app that is so difficult to use with another person. I have several apps with syncing and it’s never been this confusing or difficult.
