What people like
- Customer support fixes bugs very quickly
- Works well for both manual entry and screenshots
- Very accurate and fast when it works
What they complain about
- Ads interrupt you constantly and aggressively
- App freezes or crashes frequently
- Screenshot tool often fails to read letters
- Suggests words that are not valid
Fantastic!
Let me preface this review by saying that I only use the app against the computers and not against other people. I’ve tried websites that claim to allow you to upload screenshots but either won’t give you the highest scoring word or can’t read the screenshot, and I’ve tried the different word unscrambler pages too. I love that this app does both. I also love that it will automatically delete the screenshots as you upload them so as to not bog down my photos. One thing I will say is that it isn’t ALWAYS accurate, so keep that in mind. It might give you a 6 letter word for 35 points but you could play a 7 letter word for 87 points. But between having the power meter turned on and using power ups like “word spy”, you can see when it’s not accurate and figure it out for yourself. So all in all, it’s a pretty great app, and I’m definitely going to recommend it.
Too many glitches
Too many glitches
Apps
I like the word help but Too many ads
Too many ads
Too many ads
Fails to identify numerous opportunities
The screenshot tool fails to identify countless possible word plays. Most of the opportunities they do find consist of non-sensical words while completely overlooking actual high scoring word plays.
Only Ads
Every single time I use the app I get ads! I can make sense of it was like it used to be when was an advertisement here and there. But now it’s an advertisement every time I open it. Ugh 😩
Doesn’t work
Can’t read the screenshot I have to fill in the tiles by hand. What’s the point ?
Adds
Just to let you know if the add doesn’t my attention in the first 15 seconds trying to push add after add when trying to close the page is just annoying.
Pesky ads again
Second time in five minutes that I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall this app because ads cause it to malfunction. Can’t you do something about this?
It’s not working!
Why is no-one looking into this problem? When you import a screen shot the letters in your tray are not bought over! This issue is recent as it was working. Can’t get hold of anyone of course and I just paid £4.99 what a waste!
Less ads would be nice
Being weird have to snack pictures lots of times doesn’t show me letters I have the time question marks
Stop spamming me
I paid for no adds so now I get pestered for a review every time I play! This is not a good investment!
Great but….
Almost always shows top scoring word but I don’t like the requirement to give the app access to ALL photos. Most other apps don’t require that and I don’t think it’s necessary.
All ? Squares
All of a sudden this app has gone crazy and instead of showing ads it is showing the whole screen with”?”
Q and O
It seems to be mistaking the 'Q' thinking it's an 'O' Otherwise great!
Ad Free Option?
Love the app, but hate the ads. Is there an option to pay for ad free?
Greed is rampant
It used to be a normal app, but then they updated it so you have to give them full permission to all of your photos, they don’t need my photos only the screenshot…it’s my data not yours and you can’t have it.
Too Many Ads
I paid $12.99 to eliminate ads and found out that was only for a few days. SCAM! The ads are repetitive and just go on and on. WWF is a boring game ar times. I don’t recommend it to anyone.
Great App but keeps crashing
Used to love this App but frequently keeps freezing when promoting to gambling Advertisement. Have to go right through repeated unticking of unsolicited adds to get back up and running
Ok not how to wok this
Not sure how to woke the board letters what to do
Top Notch Service
Reported an issue with the app not searching correctly and with 36 hours fixed as well communicated back to me. Excellent service. Good app too.
Great app
Way too many ads. I’ve been thinking of trying a different app
What’s happened
Just updated App now I have adverts an a very confusing task selection. Why can’t it take in a screen shot for the word finder? Please give me back the old version!
Over elaborated
This was a good game until it was bloated with elaborate gimmicks like bouncing gift boxes, weekly scoring targets and unnecessary items. These slow down play and put a strain on my phone battery.
Words with Friends
I have been playing this literally for years. I’m sick of Royal Match ads!!
Great App, Updated & Still Going Strong
Well integrated with app with smart, innovative features that continue to do what it says on the tin and more. Issues are promptly and courteously responded to and ultimately addressed. A 5-star product.
Paid for no ads. Now doesn’t work
The free version app was glitchy and the ads literally went on forever, so I paid to be ad free. Now the app doesn’t really work at all. It won’t and I have tried multiple ways, including deleting and reloading the app. Don’t pay for this
Great app but where is the ad free version?
Needs an update so it can be used on Samsung phones.
Optimise please
Needs to be optimised for iPad Pro 11”
Ads
Would give it a five but there are just too many ads which can be frustrating!
Responsive Team
The had a hiccup and just stayed in search mode. I reported this and the problem was fixed within 48 hours. They also sent emails keeping me informed of what was being done. There aren’t many app support teams that are this good.
Ads
Too many ads!
Was brilliant but now not working
Used to be an excellent app. Last few days it has stopped identifying all the letters on the board so pretty much useless.
Useless
Half the words you suggest are not even valid words. Maybe you should check with a dictionary before you suggest them!!
NOT WORKING!!
For 5-6 weeks now the app won't stay open! PLEASE FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY!!
Beat WWF cheat app!
I bought this one and a few others hoping for the best cheat app for WWF. This one wins, hands down! Always the best words and quick results! Love it!
Arrgh!
This is crazy! I have to completely close the app then come back in. Every time!!! I don't know what you want!!
Word breaker
Fine until a game popped up which cannot be closed. I now have no access to the app
Décevant
La version française est déficiente ... L'app nous donne des mots qui n'existent pas dans la langue et ne trouve pas les meilleurs résultats ... L'importation de capture d'écran et le passage au jeu de Scrabble se font harmonieusement .
Import screenshot doesn't work
However hard I try, it won't import screenshots as a game board. I can use ghost mode although why. I need that I don't know, but at least I can see it's imported the shot. But absolutely nothing happens when I import it and use board solve mode.
Fun
This program is very accurate and fast
App not working
As stated by Sam and Abby: I have been using this app for years with no problems. Now it just spins and doesn’t load. I have rebooted my phone as well as deleted the app and reinstalled, even deleted, rebooted and reinstalled to no avail.
Hmmm
Doesn't always give the best word for the highest score.
SCREENSHOT
The screenshot doesn't recognize all the letters. Sees T's as i's and O's as D's.
Some words DO exist
A decent dictionary would work wonders Liz G.
Locks up
App is not working. Put in word and it locks up. Close it out and reopen it and it works. Then it keeps doing it and you have to do the same thing
Problems
All of a sudden, I can't save multiple games. Restarted the game and my iphone with no help. I even deleted the game and reinstalled it but ended up with the same problem. App was great before.
Update vocabulary list.
Puzzled that the app suggests words which are not recognised by WWF.
Good but could be improved
I like this app. It has helped me out many times. However, in board mode, it tends to make up some words. It suggests a big scoring word but when trying to use it, wwf's says it isn't a word.
