Such an excellent app! User friendly, clarity of suggestions and deletions - wish all apps were so thoughtfully made.
Invasive ads
I’ve had this app downloaded for years. Today was the last straw. I looked away from my screen for a second and didn’t realized an ad started. I tapped on my screen to avoid my phone auto-locking. Well, I ended up clicking on an in-game ad which redirected me to God-knows-what kind of link. I really hope it didn’t download anything malicious.

Repeating puzzles
Same few puzzles keep repeating. Like 4 or 5 puzzles repeating. Definitely not 500 different ones…
Better than other free ones
I like that all adverts are shown on top the frame and not interrupted in midst of doing the sudoku. There are couple of things that I find it in convenient. It can’t be done in panoramic view on iPads. As such the numbers are at the bottom. Sometimes it doesn’t flag errors even though the segment is completed. I have to check for errors. I enjoy doing the puzzles.
Unable to restart a level
Obviously gone wrong on a Level but there’s no option to clear the board and start again. Very frustrating
Decent
Easy app, doesn’t require such long ads, this isn’t an app that needs constant attention or updates, but still has 30 second ads between puzzles
Almost perfect app
It does what it should. It’s simple and it works. All the fun and no irritating ads. It just took me a while to figure out to hold the number down to fill the square. Couldn’t find the instructions easily, but probably just me being too impetuous!
Hard to play
Wish it had different colours because being black and grey hurts my eyes also once one numbers is filled in it would be better if that number disappeared

I have uninstalled this app due to data sharing requirements and the constant need to update preferences. A ‘reject all’ button may encourage me to reconsider but until then I’ll find an alternative app.
Frustrating!
I’ve given up and deleted this app from my iPad, too many adverts and the number of times it’s stopped working is ridiculous!!!

Drains my battery
I do like this app, but it does make my iPhone 11 run very hot and drains my battery quickly.
Pause?
I can’t find a Pause function. Is there one? What if the phone rings or someone comes to the door? I can’t POSSIBLY have that affect my times!Eeeek!
Best Sudoku app
I love this app simple no annoying music or noises just lets you concentrate and solve the problems. I have progressed from beginner to Master I just wish when I finish the last of the Master section I could get another 500 to tackle. Fantastic app highly recommended
Awful UI
The most counterintuitive interface I’ve ever used.
Paid to remove adverts but they came back!!!
The Functionality is great, but I found the adverts distracting so I paid to make it advert free. It didn’t make it clear that isn’t permanent. Not at all impressed by that. Thanks for your reply. Thankfully after seeing the remove ads message, and consequently sending my earlier message, I found ads were not there (even though I had been invited to remove them!). All is working ok.
Numbers
It would be better if the numbers disappeared when they are in every box as in all the twos are in every grid box so the two goes from the pick box
Not too many setting options
The grey lines markings when selecting a square are really annoying

Great app, seriously. However Occasionally causes irritation. It is free and ad supported. They offer an ad free experience. At a very reasonable cost. At some future point the ads may come back and the ad free choice will go away. Needs removal, reinstall twice. I have written to the developers and they replied positively. So far so good
Irritating ad banner
I’ve greatly enjoyed this app in the past, and it Just Worked, with beautiful simplicity. Thanks for the memory! I have now deleted it, having been irritated more than I could stand by the flashing ad banner at the top of the screen. It’s intolerable.
Harder then most apps I’ve found
I’ve downloaded many sudoku apps in the past and a lot of them just aren’t difficult enough. This app has 6 levels of difficulty so you will probably be able to find something to suit your level. The hardest level is still solvable and I haven’t yet come across one I couldn’t finish, but they definitely take a good 30-40 minutes for me. One negative is that you don’t get personal bests! Would be great if you could try and beat your own time.
Used to be 5 star app
I love this game and have played for years but suddenly the stats on average times is totally off. I get called a MASTER when other’s average times are so high they can’t be accurate and I just got an average time of negative 17 minutes. Really!? Please fix.
Recent update affected experience
The animation that darkens the selected box was slowed and maybe darkened. It slows down analysis time. When playing a timed game those seconds count.

Too small
The numbers you type in are too small in the boxes, gave up very quickly.
No more fading boxes
It was great before the update that made the box you are working on fade from black to gray so you can't see what you have in the box. I play the game for time as well as fun so I don't have time to wait to see what's in the box again as it changes from visible gray to non-visible black. Please change it back.
Follow up review
Thank you for responding to my problem. I deleted the app and then downloaded it again, when it worked immediately and still had a memory of where I was in the game. Best sudoku app ever!
Time to uninstall
Now unable to turn off the unusable “dark mode”
Great play, hate dark mode.
I play this all the time but I hate the new dark mode and can’t find how to switch it back. To clarify, I prefer dark mode on my phone but the dark mode version of this game is horrid. Would be nice to be able to toggle it off within the game rather than have to change my whole phone settings just to play the game.
Serviceable but clunky
At first look it’s simple, clean and uncluttered, but then the gray lines appear and it distracts from the clean view, which hampers the speed of the game. The last straw was that it keeps erasing the previous move, which breaks concentration. Why would you do that? There’s a back button if that’s really necessary. I’ve removed the app. I’m going back to pen and paper where numbers stay where you put them.
Recent Problems
Recently the sudoku games just shuts down and I have to restart with a new game. It’s frustrating to lose a game you’ve almost completed. This has happened numerous times recently. Game must have a new bug as this never happened before a few weeks ago.
AWESOME
This game is really relaxing and gets the mind thinking. You can play it n or off WiFi and it doesn’t control how many mistakes! It’s amazing I use it every night
App did work fine but they ads are now insane
This app worked fine for years and had a reasonable balance between user use and clear but reasonable ads at the top. They’ve recently forced an update where the ads take over tge entire screen every 20 seconds or so after a few minutes of playing a game. This makes the app pretty much worthless as anything but a demo. Feels really nasty to do this change via an unwanted update.
Not a bad app
Set up easy but instructions and response when game solved very poor, but still addictive

Not happy with the update. Might look good on an iPhone X but it looks like crap on my non iPhone X. Can I uninstall the update? Really disappointed.
Works great for a number of puzzles but then starts to recycle the same ones
I really enjoyed doing the master puzzles until I realized that they started cycling the same puzzles every 5. I’m not sure when this started but it’s definitely before the first 100 puzzles, and potentially much sooner, for all I know it was all along and I simply didn’t notice. Very disappointed. Edit: I would be happy to understand why it’s happening and fix it, but the contact the dev link seems to go to a site which has never loaded for me, tried on several computers without luck. Please check that.

Can’t close ad
Had this for over a year and loved it, but I just had an ad for the same organization’s solitaire game. I couldn’t continue playing Sudoku until I downloaded their Solitaire. The ad just wouldn’t go away and there was no close or x option. So I have uninstalled this app.
An error?
I love this game, the range of levels, and being able to see my best times at the different levels. However, I’ve tried to complete Beginner level 29 three times without success. I even switched on the auto fill notes and it’s still impossible! Anyone else completed it?
Performance issues on iPhone 7
sound crackling and stuttering. There’s no reason for that on a device this powerful.
Two things
1. No indication of numbers already finished. 2. Should be able to touch once to place a number. Otherwise, clean and simple design. I like it; a few tweaks will make this great.
