Cannot invite anyone
I’ve tried to invite my bandmates. Numerous times. Even reinstalled several times. They don’t get the email or the invite. I’m at the end of my rope with this. I seem to be the only one that I know that has had this issue. I’ve checked all settings within my email, phone, the app… I just will not send invites. iOS vs. android does not seem to matter. Both platforms are within n my band and still nothing. Please help. I love this idea and everyone else says it’s amazing, but I can’t get anyone in my band onto it.
Suggestion
Would be great if we could sort and print out select gigs to share.
Serious limitations
The set list edit function is limited to adding , removing, or reordering songs in a set list. You cannot redistribute songs between set lists. There is also no way to retitle a set list.
So much potential, but buggy
I really want to like this app, but so far I’ve had a lot of problems with it crashing. Also, it’s kinda hot or miss if you get notifications… One of my biggest complaints is that you can’t rearrange songs in a set list. It will let you move the song, but it just either goes back to where it was or it just lands wherever it wants in the set list, basically making it useless. I feel like every problem it has could easily be fixed by the developer. If these issues are resolved I’ll update my review; however as it is the app is nearly useless.

Organised musicians? Who’d a thunk it? If anything can Band Mule can. Top marks from me.
Closes constantly
Reinstalled, no change. Annoying… And still, I get 20 seconds max before it closes. On iPhone and iPad…
Great concept
App crashes every time I try to delete a member from a gig. Great concept. Not going to cancel just yet but hopefully gets fixed soon.
Just crashes
Used Band Mule in a previous band and it was fine. Recently came to use it and the app crashes after 5 seconds and the web page logs me out after 10 seconds. Looking at alternatives.
Trying it out
Trying this out with our band. I’ll come back after using it for a bit for a more in depth review. As of now, it’s ok. Most things work. The setlist option is pretty bad. I put in all of our songs, created a setlist, tried to put them in the correct order and it won’t let me change the first song in the setlist. As soon as I change the order and change the first song, it just moves it back to the top or just picks a random song to be first. So I’m giving up on the setlist part of this app.

Great app to get organized
Loving this app so far! It's just what we needed as a band to organize ourselves better. Hopefully the options for the song list and set lists can be expanded to include sequencing options (alphabetical, etc...) and possibly some pop ups warning that a song is already in the song list and/or setlist, to avoid repeating entries.
App consistently quits
In using an iPhone 13 and the Band Mule app consistently quits every timeI open it, unless I quickly click on the menu in the upper left corner. Fix your bugs!
Need to add notifications
Over it’s a pretty decent app but one feature I think is desperately needed is some form of notification to all band members when a new gig / rehearsal date is entered or when someone updates their calendar. The chat feature is totally unnecessary in my opinion. We text each other. No need for a “chat room”
Amazing App But Please Add 1 Thing!!
I really enjoy the app and use it a lot. Could you please add the option to change the color for gigs on the calendar? I think right now it is only green but if we could change it to a yellow for gigs that are not 100% confirmed yet or blue for free/charity shows, etc. Thank you!

Love what you’re doing with this app. Though it is a “free” app with in-app purchases, it immediately cues you to pay $5.99 a month no bypass to use the app with limitations on its features. The plus side: only one member needs to pay the monthly fee. Inviting my band mates to join the scheduling app provided them each with a link to Band Mule which generates the login page. It will not cue your band mates to create a profile. They should simply log in with their email and whichever password they desire. This confuses us for a short time. We are using this app primarily to organize our weekly availability and build a calendar. Each member is able to select the days which they are available but not the times of day they are available. For example, I may be able to practice Wednesday after work, but according to my availability, I’m available all of Wednesday. I hope that the folks at Band Mule are able to make some adjustments to make my purchase worth it! Thanks
Don’t reinvent the Calendar!!
Why why why?!!! Come on man!! Changing where Sunday is on the monthly calendar is effed up. Everyone is already used to where Sunday goes and belongs.

Really good app easy to use
App Crashes Nonstop
I downloaded the app today and every time I login, whether via my phone or computer it crashes after a few seconds. Looks like it has potential, but useless of course if it just crashes every time you try to open it. Not sure if this is a widespread issue.
Feature suggestion
Overall thr app is great, much less cat hearding than before. A useful feature would be stage times, load in, soundcheck, support, and changeover. Even better if this could be shareable outside the app for support act, tech etc.

Good app
Helps a lot with organization, but we need to be able to change the band name in the profile. And when creating set lists, the ability to add a break/intermission would be nice. And just some general things, like selecting a box to type in, but you first need to delete the words “Notes..” in the gig creation.
Cool App!
Great for organizing all your band related stuff - gigs, practices, song lists If there was only a way it could periodically slap some of my band mates and tell them to update their availabilty. On a serious note - a nice feature would be to be able to add songs to a “work in progress” playlist. We’re working on new material constantly, but don’t want to add any songs to our library before they’re fully baked and ready for prime time.

The set list rearranges itself. Tried reinstalling, closing, resetting iPhone. This is a deal breaker for any band. Lots of complaints on dates rearranging themselves too. Fix it and you may have something.
It works for us.
Overall been a solid app for our band. We have 20 plus people in the group. One disadvantage is it real east for the android people to accidentally delete songs from a set list. The app has gotten a lot more stable over the last year or so. Two level of access would be great where only certain people have the ability to delete people or songs from the group would be ideal.
I wanted to like this app…
Sadly one area of this app that is not accessible with a screen reader is the availability section which is critical for calendar and resource management. I did not look at the song list or set list functionality as lack of accessibility for the availability feature is pretty much a deal breaker. I think it is pretty safe to say that there are quite a few blind musicians and it is a shame this app was not built with that in mind. It is so easy now to add accessibility like this that when you don’t see it it can be pretty frustrating. Please add accessibility for the VoiceOver screen reader and what I found so far I would consider 5 out of 5.
Really want it to work!
This app looks amazing - simple and does everything you want. But there are lots of issues: the song library is visible on my mobile but has suddenly vanished from the web version about half an hour after starting to use it. Tried logging off and back on a couple of times, adding new songs etc, but nothing works. Also the mobile version isn’t showing my bandmate’s availability although the web version is. It would be perfect if issues like this were fixed.

Good idea/bad execution
This app appears abandoned. No updates or improvements period. Barely usable. Dates in calendar shift a day or two one way or the other every so often. Aggravating. Looking for something better. At “free” is still a waste of my money.
A few issues
I like the overall layout. The set list is nice but trying to arrange the songs seems like a problem. Move a song up one in the order and it won’t stay there. If I move one song others move out of order. Also, it would be a nice feature to add calendar updates into notifications to band members.
Band Mule - unstable
Keeps crashing on my iPhone. Really unstable. Seem unable to delete a member (registered with wrong email - now want to delete that profile, but doesn’t work)
User Instructions
Just started using this, seems OK to start with but I’ve added 4 band mates and they don’t seem to have any access to editing events or their availability. As there are no user instructions, it’s kinda tricky to sort out what’s wrong
Charlie HWY23 band
This makes gig and rehearsal scheduling so easy. I’ve used other apps; but, this is by far the best! Easy to set-up and use. Highly recommend it.
Why?
I downloaded this app thinking it would be a pretty cool option to open communication for the band… You can add songs to a master list but then you can’t edit them or delete them? You can have an on going online chat but you can’t clear it or delete it? Why do you guys make an app that you can’t edit or change/alter or delete anything you enter into it? Please fix .. i’m sure PPL would pay for the app if it had more options to it... I would!! It’s a great idea just fix the little stuff.. Thanks
Features
I wish it would let you export to google calendar. Also if it wouldn’t delete previous months until the beginning of the next year would be great. Also a hover feature over a date to see what is booked would be great. It’s an ok application and serves its purpose. We have had issues with it deleting gigs over slow connections. It is frustrating at times. New features would be great.

Getting there
This is a useful app but when you want to share your set list as a PDF there are no songs, just the title. Once this is fixed it will be a good app.
Great App for rock groups
In my 40 years of playing gigs this is one of the most useful tools I have used in my musical career.

I really wish app developers would not publish anything until it’s ready. I was told that an update will allow you to edit any entered information. I’m done waiting. Don’t waste your time like I did unless you’re perfect and don’t make typos.

Why can’t you share rehearsal tracks from mobile?
Seems a bit weird to have to be on desktop app to do this. Otherwise, good idea!
Almost
It’s so much better than our current process for tracking dates and availability, BUT it doesn’t appear there’s a way to print set lists, or even copy/paste the list into a printable format, which makes the Set List option pretty worthless.
Nice app but doesn’t work well.
Please give it some love to this app. Problem with login, people with Android can’t hear the tracks. Other and that, this app can be the best for a band.

App seems like a good idea. Very slow and won't let me upload events, even from the desktop site. Very Frustrating...

This app is very convenient when your in a band. It would be even better if there was a component where you could list the tasks the band needed to do.
I wish...
First, it’s confusing that the start of the week is on Monday. Not used to seeing calendars like that. I keep selecting the wrong day. Will just have to get used to it. Second, it would be great if there was a way to do a mass upload of songs. When you have 100+ it’s an undertaking. I have my notifications on, but I don’t get anything when someone adds or updated anything. The first thing you see when opening the app for the first time is a blank white screen with a bottom toolbar. Took me a while to figure out that the little checkmark is there for when you want to send a message. I think if you put “insert comment” where the user is supposed to click, that would be great. I thought something was wrong with the app because all I saw was white.. I ended up saying “hello!” So others would know what was going on in the white space. Third, if there was a “band account” or some way to keep track of how much money the band has made, that’d be cool as well. I feel like the app isn’t very intuitive, will probably have to show and explain to the band how to do everything. Otherwise, it’s a great idea and we hope it keeps us organized.
