HotDoc
Really impressed with app, saves so much time hanging on the end of the phone, and it’s all done and dusted in just a few minutes Thankyou for this app, it’s wonderful. J A Buckenham
Most invasive app
Sends sms every 5 minutes after any booking to make for unnecessary requests. And now also cancels appointments if you don’t respond within half an hour. Zero respect for privacy or time of patients. I hope doctors realize people shouldn’t be subjected to this and stop using this platform.
Time effective
Only four stars. Never allows me to use my password. That business of having constantly to invent another using Forgot Password, which I haven’t, is a huge annoyance
Frustrated
I can’t login to view messages despite all my information being correct. Even tried to delete and open a new account but still the same
Checking in
Can’t checkin. Says can’t find location even though enabled. Also fails using my partners phone.
It’s great
It is easy to navigate, straightforward and successful.
Worst app ever
Want too many details!
Very good, except
I want to be able to book a phone consultation.
App crashes a lot
For an app that I need to use to book medical appointments it crashes quite a lot, and there's no route to retrying easily.
Generally good, some annoyances
Works well for the most part and is actually my go to way to find a health professional if I don’t have a regular. However, constantly putting in details is painful. Firstly, you already have them all, so why can’t you send them to the health provider? Secondly, given you don’t do that, you still have to complete it multiple times. The second place in a row I’ve filled out the information in the app then I arrive and they say “yeah you need to do it via this QR code, doesn’t matter you already did it in the app” So either don’t collect it or do collect it and pass it on. But definitely do not collect it but don’t pass it on. Very very annoying
Appointments
Easy to use
Useful app, but the privacy implications are broader than I expected
HotDoc is convenient, but after reading its Privacy Policy closely I was surprised by how much personal information may be collected and handled. Depending on how you use the platform, this can include appointment history, health information, prescriptions, referrals, Medicare-related identifiers, location information, communications with practices, and potentially call recordings or transcripts. What concerned me most was the statement that HotDoc may also collect browsing and analytical information about users’ “online preferences, behaviours, movement and engagement” through cookies and tracking pixels, and that this information may be collected on an identifiable basis. The policy also allows disclosure to various service providers, including analytics, messaging, software and cloud providers, and notes that some recipients may be overseas. HotDoc says it does not sell personal information, which is good, but for a healthcare platform I think users should be much more aware of the extent of the data ecosystem involved. I’d strongly encourage anyone using HotDoc to read the Privacy Policy for themselves and consider making a Privacy Act access request to find out what information is actually held about them. Convenience is useful. Health privacy matters more.
Works well. Better than ringing
As above.
Great idea but dreadful signup process
The app does not adhere to normal standards for obtaining passwords using Apple password process. Very annoying and off putting first impression. The password fields do not correctly auto populate.
Notifications are terrible
I would love to give this app 5 stars but the notifications are horrible. Things that should be considered Time Critical disappear. There are no sounds to say a notification has been received & no badges at all. Badges are critical for me, otherwise I don’t remember to check. My last appointment didn’t even get the confirmation notification, which has never happened before. I have to confirm my appointment twice, once a week before & then again the day before. Without suitable notifications, these confirmation notifications get lost. Please at least get Badges happening!!!

This is an excellent way to make appointments -Thankyou
Almost useless
App is extremely unreliable and crashes constantly
HotDoc
Easy app to use. I like the option to add the appointment to your calendar.

I don’t agree with providing my reasons for this appointment. I’m not a medical professional and self diagnosis is dangerous. This is the reason I’ve booked this appointment, for a diagnosis by my GP. This should be removed from the platform
Hot App!
Very easy to use, sends reminders and lets you easily book in for more than one issue and also book for others in your family.
Garbage app
Constantly sends notifications. When opened on app the app redirects to web page which then requests 3FA and then reminds you ‘next time use the app’ <smh>.
Good overall
Generally a good app the only problem I find is I regularly have difficulty checking in once I’m at my appointment and this occurs in different locations, Hope Island, Pimpama, I suspect it’s a fault with geo location within the app, so I usually have to check in with the receptionist, I notice other people around me in the waiting room having the same problem
Love this app
This app makes booking an appointment so much easier. I'd give it 10⭐️'s if it was an option.😌
Appointment not confirmed instantly
Its pretty bad wondering if my child who is ill and want to see a GP sooner rather later and told that the appointment has just been submitted but not confirmed… Whats the point of this app if it cant confirm the appointment??? I had to re do my appointment again through the GP clinics website. Will give credit on spending money to come up above the actual clinic on google but if the GP has its own booking system I would no recommend using hotdoc as it would not confirm your appointment. It only submits it. Which potentially means you can rock up to the GP and told that your appointment wasnt booked.
Usually ok but
We showed up for a confirmed appointment to find we didn’t actually have one. Getting a frail elderly to an appointment can be a big deal, it was very Inconvenient. If there is a software issue maybe let us all know to double check our appointments.
Great service
So easy to manage

Highly recommend
