Excellent app but the filtering could be better
A really useful app that co-ordinates a large number of people. It would even better if the filtering could be enhanced to give the option to filter out declined events. As most people only attend a minority of the available events and the declined events end up cluttering the screen.
Remove photos
I wish there was a way to hide people’s profile pictures. I prefer seeing initials to photos. This seems like it should be an easy option but it’s not .
The tasks need to be specific
When assigning tasks can people select a specific task. Multiple tasks available to choose from.
Helpful and handy
We use this app for my youth organisation and it’s been nothing but handy since day 1.
1000’s of notifications
Why can I not leave a subgroup?! I am in a group with 6 subgroups, I want invites from 2. But I HAVE to have invites from all 6 each week and individually decline each one!? I hate this app so much but apparently it’s the way to book onto events so I have no choice. Please get a QA team.
A response of MAYBE would be useful
I use it to schedule golf events some of which are up to a year away when people don’t know yet if they will be able to attend. To respond YES is confusing to the organiser if they turn out to be only a maybe and if they respond NO then that is confusing for them. So the option of responding MAYBE would be very useful.
Please support 2FA properly
SMS isn't secure and this has my payment details in it. Please support 2FA apps rather than SMS.
Numbers need to be updated
I think the app is great and does what it needs to but sucks that I had to use a family member number since they have not updated their area codes so my 329 area code number couldn’t be used. That made things a bit more annoying. Other than that it’s a fine app. Someone really should look into that issue.

Annoying but no choice but to use it
The app is full of micro annoyances, and it’s actually been made worse in recent updates so that there is more advertising space. The basic functions take a lot of effort and aren’t smooth at all
Suggestion
Its a great app but it would be helpful if on the home events tab there are icons to indicate if you have marked as attending / declined / unanswered etc.
Block option
I’m getting harassed by this man on your app, I cannot block him, I have reported him twice. I can’t deal with this anymore, he’s constantly messaging me and I can’t even ignore it. Is it so hard to add a block button?!
Spond payments
PAYMENTS The payments in the app as an organiser are useless. Why can’t I access payments for an upcoming event and change whether people have already paid via another means, or even say up to a day after an event to say they’ve paid cash etc. whenever I click on ‘payments’ the events aren’t even visible. Totally baffling. EVENT MESSAGES I’ve tried various ways and can’t find one to send a group message to those that are attending an event. This would be very useful for instances like delays, parking restrictions etc Having to click on individual members etc is too time consuming when the members are already ‘grouped’ So many other irritations with the app too which would make it brilliant
Great app - just needs one thing
This is a really good app and has been so helpful organising for my university society. The one thing it could use is a reply feature on for the messages. If you can add that, it’ll be even better.

Update has removed all the availability of the players for all the upcoming fixtures
Easy to use
It’s a pretty nice, easy to use app. The only thing I hate is that all the past events get deleted from my calendar as soon as the season is over and our group is deleted. So I no longer have the games and practices on my calendar to reference later.
Payment request
If someone requests payment only the Admin of that club can cancel the request and Spond can’t close it. I have contacted them and nothing back.
Needs search
the app is good but it needs a search function so we can search for old posts
great app
this app is perfect for organising events, however i would appreciate a section on the app that shows all the events attending in one organised spot, its a hassle to add it to my calendar app and id prefer it all in one app. great app though, easy to use and organised, awesome in-app design.
New in-app “notifications” not an improvement
I don’t know who you consulted about the new design, but it wasn’t me! It just makes the whole app slower. Bloatware! If my sport club was not using this platform, I would be nowhere near it. When we started using it several years ago it was great. Are there now too many cooks at Spond?
Worth having!
On the whole the app is great, good way of keeping everyone updated. Only criticism is there should be the ability to have repeat payments as well as sessions. Not just paying through the app.
Flawed UX
It’s generally a really useful app and does a lot of things. But from the player’s point of view the way event availability works is very confusing. You get invited to an event and tap ‘Available’ and your status is shown as available on the event page. That makes sense. But when the hosts select the team, you only see the updated statuses if you’ve been selected. If you weren’t one of the selected players you don’t see that other players statuses have changed to ‘Attending’ and you’ve no way to know if the coaches have selected the team or perhaps if you’re still waiting. It confuses everyone at our club all the time. Weird.

Good app but needs a search function to search for legacy posts.
Waitlist notifications don’t work
Don’t get an app notification to join the session from the waitlist, very annoying as I miss the opportunity to play tennis :-(
Push Notification Deluge Impossible to Avoid
The good: it works well at connecting people. The bad: 1) Notification mute doesn’t work properly. 2) Because of the above, one post happy group will ruin the entire app and the only respite is requesting removal from a group or deleting the app. 3) I can’t remove myself from a group.
Fantastic app
This is a fantastic example of what an app should be. Clean and easy to use design. Minimal adverts (given it’s free to use). I wish there was an obvious way to make feature requests however!
Let me disable your spam
Great, sure I want to be part of organised sports. But let me disable the intrusive notifications from Spond “events I don’t want” spam. I don’t care about your fundraising tools, I don’t care about your events in cities nowhere near me. GIVE ME AN OPT OUTOF BEING PESTERED WITH UNDESIRABLE NOTICES. I want to be notified of my own events when I choose to be. But you are making it very #%+*#ing hard to not just silence ALL Spond app notifications. Because you assume I want your spam.
Availability request
If you have too many from an availability request the person that isn’t selected just has the event removed. It would be useful if it still showed in the event but in a not selected or waiting list section so the parent still sees the event but knows they are not selected.
Notification Hell
Decided to delete my account and uninstall the app after notification and email spam from hell. Every day I got numerous notifications AND emails to respond to an invite. When I joined a club there were over 50+ to respond to with no option to accept or decline in bulk, each had to go through manually. I started off just doing the events that were full but it was too time consuming to keep up with all the new events being added as well. I really wish I wouldn’t also receive emails reminding me to respond as this just feels invasive to me. Push notifications alone would be fine. Would probably enjoy the app if it didn’t constantly hound me.
Reminders
Your app would be so much better if you could set the frequency of the auto reminders. For example, remind every 24 hours until they reply

Don’t like the email notifications
All others in the group receive their invitations in app while I receive it by email which I don’t like. I like to disable all email notifications and receive only in app notifications. I don’t see any option to do this.
Complicated
Nice app with many features, however a little overkill for the occasional user who just wants to book a court for an hour and play with a friend. It takes too many inputs to create a booking, also personally I find the UI a little cluttered. Only reason I use is that’s what the court operator chose.
Notifications don’t work …
But otherwise it’s good for tracking and managing grassroots football club activities. I wish the notifications worked so you knew when updates from team members were sent through to you when not using the app.
Matches and Training sorted
Great product very easy to set up matches and training sessions, can see who has accepted and send reminders to the parents who haven’t confirmed attendance
Privacy nightmare
Refuses to add events to calendar without being given full read access. Creepy app from a garbage values company.
Maps integration
It would be AMAZING, if you could have the location for an event open up maps so you can get there quickly so I don’t have to go to my calendar appointment and open it from there.
Not easy to use
Notifications are annoying and even if all are turned off, the app still shows them. All events have to be manually looked at and responded to (no mark all as read function). I’m in two groups, one of which I want to leave, and it’s not possible to leave unless the admin removes you which is daft. When the admin doesn’t respond you’re stuck with it and all the notifications as well. Not one of my favourite apps.
Notification sounds
The notification sound for spond is very quiet for me personally especially since I have some hearing loss. It would be amazing if I had the ability to change it to something else. otherwise the app is useful and helps with my team’s communication.
Great app would be amazing to add scorers
Love the app and use it for our youth football team. Makes organising players and planning team lineups so easy. Would be great to add scorer/assist to score updates so it notifies those not there (rather than having to add it as a message as I do now) - really recommend
Notificaitons spam!
Settings to turn off push notifications does not work. I keep getting spammed with notifications of group events. Plus, there is NO WAY to turn off email communications other than individually turning off each event notification once it is sent through. Fix this please

This app is great at managing our tennis, but because of the large number of activities we have, we need a filter for “Show Attending” we can see at a glance which events we are committed to. Add that and it’s five stars!
Calendar sync broken?
I had recently been able to choose a specific calendar out of my iPhone personalized calendar app list. This seems to have disappeared or broken since the latest update. That calendar selection option no longer knows about my custom calendars. The FAQ is useless and any help links just dump me back to the top of the single FAQ page.
Some areas of the app do not work with voiceover
As a voiceover user, I currently cannot create an event, poll, etc. when I try voiceover‘s focus is on the home page of the app, and does not indicate any of the choices to create an event or poll, etc. this issue is also present when you are in a group and trying to add a new event. I am guessing that perhaps a Modal window appears, and that is where the choices might be located. If this is correct voice overs, focus should transfer to that modal window and should be restricted to it until the person has made a choice.
