Top notch app. Keeps you up to date on your clubs fixtures I highly recommend
No new features appearing for me.
Using the Manager app I had full admin rights to our team and could see availability, that app now says it’s closing and I can’t see anything anymore. The Club app says it now has these features but I can’t see them anywhere, new season is starting soon and this app is unusable.

Functional but nothing more
You can say if you are available or not but there are lots of problems for instance when there are two matches in different places you have to either be available or not available you cant be available for one but not the other
Need to split out events on same date
Pitchero is quite handy but as a user of many club apps, there is something quite annoying about this one. When there are 2 evens on the same date, your availability status counts for both. This is unhelpful if you can’t actually make both. For example my daughter is in multiple teams and also has training. Sometimes we can’t make one but we can make the other but I can’t make that obvious on the app. Please update it. Updated following reply from developer… I hear you but that still isn’t helpful. I get told all the told that they don’t look at the comments as they are not displayed without clicking on the fixture/child and that is cumbersome to do when you need to see at a glance who is available. When managing a team you need all the info in one place. You could adapt the app to make it an availability per event which would solve all the issues and accommodate all needs

The app needs to the functionality to include a games venue full address and a clickable venue map like Spond has. Big miss not having that.

Can not mark unread messages as read or delete, very frustrating having tens of unread messages that are irrelevant to me

Should be better
Had to enter emergency contact details over and over and over. Filtered to only show one age group but resets to show all. Should default to children age groups. Too much extra info crowding out info I want to see. When are games and have they been selected. And if anything for me to do. It doesn’t. It hides info instead.
Could be great…
Would be great if it could handle a club-wide event like an end of season presentation. Would also be great if it could handle players playing in more than one team. Use Case: players can play for Team A or Team B depending on their availability and the game times on that day. Team A is playing at 9am. Team B is playing at 2pm. I can’t play at 9am but I can play at 2pm. I want to be able to set my availability for Team A as “unavailable” and Team B as “available”. This logic should also apply if there is a club-wide event on that day. Use Case: I can’t play in either 9am or 2pm game because I am injured but I can attend the end of season presentation. I am unavailable for Team A, unavailable for Team B and available for end of season presentation. These 2 changes would earn Pitchero a 5 star rating 😊
NEARLY GOT CONNED?
In an attempt to pay my annual membership fee to Southend HC, I clicked on “Start” and followed the instructions. I thought it was odd that I was being asked for only £3 when it came to providing my card details. Having checked, I’ve been informed it is in fact a 3rd-party ad! Very misleading, to say the least!

Pitchero looks better but there are so many functions it can get lost in translation. Stating you are available and then accepting invitation after team selection is really doubling the work for a parent. Publishing teams not always done and it’s annoying when you want to check out lift options with team mates. You end up with a what’s app group too then for transport!
Broken since update
Since the update, I’m no longer able to get into the app version of Pitchero, only the desktop version. Really annoying.

just a painful app to use - takes ages to load every time- just throwing up a load of random sporting icons whilst it thinks about loading the main page. has literally wasted hours of my life all told. would advise clubs to avoid this app, and use one of the many, better sports club apps instead. Excellent communication Tool
It's an excellent communication tool between club and the players
Possibly good … if it’s kept up to date
I loaded this to follow my local Lacrosse Club, but only find info over 6 months old. A bit pointless if the club fails to keep it up to date, so there’s no league table, events, match dates or locations available

While I like the functionality of the app, the unregulated adverts are annoying.

Hate this app, along with all other club apps. It’s magnificent, if you want to live with your head stuck in your phone. Unfortunately the impersonality of it, detracts from any sense of community, that should be felt when being a club member.

Could be a lot easier to use, also it would be helpful to be able to view more teams than it currently allows. Ironically the manager app is quite good!

Some good functions but the messaging element is awful. Can’t delete or manage mailboxes instead just have a list of old messages. Strange when every social media and email accounts allow decent mailbox management.

I’ve had to use it as a rugby coach and parent and I find this app a nightmare. Nothing I want to do is obvious. How it’s so widely used I will never know.

Can’t delete messages. Really annoying
good up to a point
There are many improvements that could be made to this to make it really good. The major bug bear is when you set your availability you are solely doing it for that date and not specificity if there are several matches/squads that take place on that day, meaning all teams you are “seen" in get a notification you can play?!? Can’t be in 2 places at once. The other annoyance is I have to keep reinstalling on my iPad as when updates are made to the app it refuses to load.

We run our club on PitcHero, it is better than doing it yourself. Has some nice features but is clunky to admin and not straightforward for users.

I was super excited about this app, because I love Pitchero. I even stayed up late to be one of the first downloads. I got to use the app for about 30 seconds before it crashed, and now it won't open past the initial load screen. Looks like there are some bugs to work out.
