All great apart from execrable Ally McCoist who instantly makes me turn off the radio due to his incessant ‘laughing’ at his own jokes , repetition and stating the bleeding obvious. At least the equally terrible Laura Wiods has gone to tv. The two of them surely the worst ever radio presenters since Mike Parry
Good but unstable on IOS
Great app but always crashes after reopening. It’s had the same issue since release on iPhone and iPad. App works fine on android.

Cannot update
I am so frustrated at the designers of this app. It can only be updated by the more recent models of iPhone. As I have an iPhone X I am unable to.
Downloads?
App is ok, but the lack of a facility to download programs to listen to offline is a big miss for me (see BBC Sounds).

There’s always a problem
Constant issues with the app for years. Main problem is that if you listen to a show, pause it, for example at 15 minutes, then unpause it, you will always go back to 15 minutes after every other pause. You have to memorize where you’ve paused it.
Great content but a bit clunky
TalkSport’s great but the app could have more controls like ‘back 10 sec’, a more obvious ‘pause’ button. If there is a catchup page I’ve not noticed it - i think the whole UI should be cleaned up and made more orderly and tidy.
A damn fine LISTEN
I used to listen to music on the radio but since the advent of the modern interpretation of music, which at best, to me is just intolerable ‘noise’, I’ve found the very best listening can be found on TalkSport. Monday to Friday, my working week, I listen throughout the day, and it’s always on in the car. TalkSport delivers, more I cannot say👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Not working outside of UK
Virgin stations now not working outside of UK- keeps says “not available in your territory “. Always used to. Talksport channels ok I guess no one reads these comments 🤷♂️
Keep local ads
iHeart and TuneIn radio ads shouldn’t interfere By putting in ads when the broadcasts come directly from the talkSPORT app. It loses its authenticity.
Stopped working on Apple TV
The app used to be fine on my Apple TV until a few weeks ago and not I just get ‘no content found’ errors and it’s unusable. Have deleted and reinstalled to no effect.
Log in every time ??
Why am I requested to do a log in every time wh trying to use the app? Then it goes as error and lets me in … ???

Fantastic getting TalkSport coverage whilst on holiday in Spain as the Spanish have no clue no coverage on TV call themselves footy fans just coz they’re World Cup holders

Talksport have too many average presenters ie Shaban and Gabby who both other nothing to the shows that they appear on I’ve now stopped listening

Easy to navigate different presenters and shows. CarPlay app could use some work though.
Deleted after they demand personal info.
I only listened to TS while doing rideshare. They updated the app and now require a sign in. I instantly deleted the app. It should be illegal to sell people’s info.
An ok app
I love listening to talkSPORT, if you listen live there is no problem but if you listen to a programme from the day before or earlier in the day it doesn’t save where you was last listening. Also the app asks you to sign in every time you go on to it after closing it. This needs sorting out as it’s very frustrating.

I love talk sport but every time I use the app it crashes in the first minute and then I have to reopen it and then it’s ok - dire experience

Forced updates
Stop the forced updates. At least give the user a choice on when to apply.
Blocked in USA
I hate when a game has been blocked from listening to on talkSPORT 1 and miss the first part of The Sports Bar because after the game someone forgets to broadcast the channel to all regions again. Sometimes over an hour of missing the next programming.

Too Intrusive and Hard Work
I just want to listen to the radio. I don’t want to give my email address (why - other than to pester me with emails and target me with ads). And then getting asked multiple questions about what team I support, which sports I like etc. I know they’ll answer that they’re trying to “tailor the app to my needs” but I don’t really want to get involved in all of that. Just listen to the radio.

Over zealous entry
Never used to have an issue with this app, always found it ideal for listening on the go. However, the last few times I’ve opened the app, it’s been like breaking into Fort Knox. Having to prove I’m human, how many bikes, cars, trains, traffic lights etc. It’s gotten to the point where I’ve deleted it. It’s a radio station, not online banking.
Stops and starts
I live in australia and live on talk sport while I work. I’ve hit a kangaroo and nearly had 3 close calls because the app drops out and when the signal comes hood it doesn’t play again so you have to go to the phone and open it and then open the app and press play. I don’t listen in the car anymore because it’s not safe to. Also why do you have to sign in every time? Should be like podcasts or other live streams where you open the app and it just starts playing. Love and live for the content but the app is light years behind that and not a pleasure to use.
App stalls
I often run listening to TalkSPORT and my phone is kept in my backpack. If I receive a text, my phone reads out the text (or any notification! and silences the TalkSPORT app. However to get it working again, I need to stop my run, pull my phone from my backpack, unlock the phone and press play. Very annoying.
Like the app, but has some bugs
I like the app, but it resets the program if I pause listening to a program. Big fan of White and Jordan and I listen after their program(I live in the USA). I’ll stream for about an hour at work, take a break due to a call, and go back to the app. Starts the whole program over every time. Can’t fast forward it to try to find the point I left off in the program. Please fix that and the rating would be much higher. I haven’t listened to an entire program in months.
The Sports Radio Channel
Can’t speak highly enough of TalkSport, it gives you all you need as an avid sports fan. Live coverage- expert punditry - thoughtful incisive discussions and there is still room in the schedule for plenty of entertaining and funny moments. It’s my go to channel that gets me through the rigours of the day and night. Thank you TalkSport!

This app would be perfect if the full sports Bar show was uploaded.
Commercials with Sports inbetween
Commercials, commercials, commercials. All the time, during shows, during games, nonstop. The app regularly updates to remind you they are selling your data and the shows have more commercial time than show-time. Talksport used the good content but they have sold out hardcore.
Ads driving me nuts
Used to be great but I now find myself closing the app with increasing frequency due to the constant, repetitive ads. Seriously people, I don’t need to hear the same Shopify ad 30 times per hour. I now hate Shopify.

Update Issues
Just updated a few days ago. Now asks for sign in each time which is annoying, plus the “watch live” service no longer works (for me). Why do these updates always make the experience worse. Plus I’m sick of all the betting ads.

Recent Update Seems to Destroy Pause/FF/RWD Functions
I love TalkSport, but I live in America so I don’t listen on the radio and rarely listen in real-time. But I listen on the app. I used to listen on the website (in the Listen Again section), but that was annoying because every sound bite was 30 minutes and you often needed to refresh. For about a year, the app has been the best. I listen to the SportsBar next day without fail. But when I updated either the TalkSport app OR my iPhone recently, the pause/fast forward/rewind functions result in the app buffering. Endlessly. Then I need to kill the app and try to pinpoint (with the precision of a diamond-cutter) the exact location where I left off by scrolling the timer with my finger. It’s a mess. At this point, the app is basically unusable for me, and it’s so disappointing. This is a 5-star app otherwise, and TS is absolutely brilliant. But I have to give it a 2 due to sheer lack of function at the present time. Note: I looked for other recent reviews reporting the same issue and only found one. So maybe it’s just me and my recent iPhone update. But now I’m stuck with the “newest” version of both the iPhone OS and the TS app. Soooo… back to the website I go 😢
Please add the Premier League Live international feeds
When I discovered talkSport’s Premier League commentaries online, I finally had something that made working weekend mornings enjoyable. It’s just a pain that, because I’m in the United States, I have to go to the match page on the talkSport website instead of just listening on this app. I don’t know if this is because of a rights restriction with EPL or FIFA, but I would like to have this issue sorted out.
